@FullbringIchigo As no one should. Unfortunately it does ruin my experience, as if I know there is a Trophy from a context sensitive part of the game you can't revisit - I will go for it. Most of the time it's a quick detour to snag a bronze, the worst of times it's a 3 hour journey in frustration.
There's a fine line between challenging and unfair. Anything very rare and RNG based should not be in a Trophy list. Anything requiring a ridiculous amount of skill should result in an in game reward not sidetrack people with compulsive behaviour into a 5 hour cycle trying to up their trophy yield.
A bunch of telltale games have the best trophies, regardless of your decisions the Trophies unlock thus getting sucked in to the story rather than the anxiety of missing a collectible. Final Fantasy 15 was a great platinum, I can't recall much anxiety with that one.

@themcnoisy Two words for you. Survival skill. Even after running around for hours, I still haven’t got the platinum because of that one trophy. I actually ran out of things to do in FFXV other than run the length of the map to get Gladdy’s skill up.
@Thrillho Oooh thanks for that, I did miss it. Will reload a save and grab that trophy.
@FullbringIchigo Preach, brother. I see no point in ruining enjoyment of a game by going after trophies. If someone wants to, then that is fine but that is their decision to go for it at the end of the day.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@FullbringIchigo By the way there is a very easy way to do this via a windows 10 remote play script. Same for some other tedious trophies of FF9 like the battle ones etc.
@Thrillho I am fairly sure they will add this in an update.
That Leviathan summon boss fight was nuts. The scale of it and general difficulty of the battle reminded me of something like Monster Hunter. Great fight!
I've heard I can revisit individual chapters to clean up trophies, so I'm fully into Shinra headquarters now. I, uh, chose to take the stairs, which was both partially amusing and VERY boring.
@Ralizah@JohnnyShoulder i did both, stairs on my first playthrough, lift on the second but i think in subsequent play throughs i'll mainly use the lift, not because it's quicker but more happens when you do

@themcnoisy yeah i get that for example the first Dragon Ball XenoVerse i have 2 trophies left to get (all the others i got just by playing the game) get all super attacks and get all ultimate attacks, but both are reliant on the games absolutely terrible RNG system
I thought to myself "only 2 left, might as well get them" so i did one mission for 2 hours once and the damn move NEVER dropped so i stopped bothering at that point

@nessisonett I can't remember that trophy, what's the task?

@themcnoisy Gladiolus’ skill essentially levels up the number of steps you have. Everyone else’s skills, cooking, fishing and photography, were perfectly ok to level but his one just took ages and ages. I’d 100% the game but I still have one level left of his skill and never have went back to it.
@themcnoisy@nessisonett i just ran around the outside of the map a few times, that seemed to do it
took a few hours though, it's a pretty sizable map after all

@nessisonett got you. I rarely used transport early and I was intrigued by a few map sections (to get all the weapons) which turned out to be duds, this pumped my mileage significantly.

That last chapter is a bit mad and I think people are probably reading too much into it myself. I think something is definitely needed to make it feel like an ending otherwise it would be pretty anticlimactic without something there.
It must be mega confusing to anyone who hasn't played the original though!
Finally got to Chapter 17. I'm so close to the end that I can almost taste it. Really interested to see what all the hub-bub about the thing is regarding.
My speculation: It'll be revealed, in some capacity, that this game is less of a remake and more of a pseudo-sequel to the original. An alternate universe, maybe? Or a time rewind, perhaps? Cloud saw flashes of Aerith's death during one of his 'episodes,' so I do think this is going to connect back to the first game somehow.
so how many of the Trophies did you pick up on your play through?
