Thrillho

@FullbringIchigo Missed ones are Jessie and motorbike; all battle intel; lvl50 character. I did get pull-ups and box whacking related ones.

The rest wouldn’t be achievable on one run (enemy skills, weapon abilities, all quests etc).

@Arugula it’ll have to be start from scratch or every character nominally starts at level 50. Materia and weapons will be harder to know but I can’t see it just carrying over myself.

^I agree

@Arugula sadly I think we are going to start from scratch, probably from level 50...If they keep this system the weapons updates seem more easy to carry over than the materia level.

FFS, I missed Chadley in Shinra HQ. And also just realised I didn't buy one of Barret's weapons from the Moogle shop. So 2 trophies there for the second run through that I should've got on the first. Actually kinda pissed at that.

@icecube don’t worry too much you get a chapter selection option after the first playthrough.

Matroska

@Arugula The only real endgame stuff is the -aga spells. If agree if we had about 20 summons, 35 enemy skills, Ultima, 7 limit breaks per character, Flare, Break, Mime, Manipulate, Morph, X4 Cut, etc. Even with stuff like Firaga, it's gone higher than that in other games with Firaja. Besides, if they force us back to only being able to use Fire, Thunder, etc, they'll have to make all the enemies much easier again. If it all carries over they can just have us looking forward to Blizzaja and Break, even make up new tiers.

@icecube I don't think Chadley or the 2nd battle simulator are there until you finish the game and go back to Chapter 17.

@Matroska They could pull a Kingdom Hearts 2. Cloud and co have been waiting so long for a sequel they just forgot all their abilities.

Plumbing’s just Lego innit. Water Lego.

Trans rights are human rights.

JohnnyShoulder

@Matroska Both of those are there for me in my current and first playthrough. You need to do the first battle simulation for the key card, and then chadley and the rest of the battles should be there.

Thrillho

@JohnnyShoulder Weirdo Chadley is indeed there after getting the keycard.

More battles appear in the simulator and coliseum in hard mode too though.

Thrillho

FullbringIchigo

@Matroska @JohnnyShoulder @Thrillho yeah the second battle simulator with the hard mode fights only appear after you beat the game and revisit chapter 17, Chadley and the new simulator should be in that area where Cloud had his breakdown in front of the lift in chapter 16

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

ApostateMage

Let's hope that by the second part of FFVIIR Cloud has learnt how to high five a girl without being awkward and clumsy. He comes across as a bad fridge.

almost done.

halfway through chapter 17.

Just got the platinum, yay! I had lots of fun and no annoying trophies in this one.

I loved how some bosses I was fearing to challenge without items were kind of a no-problem with better gear and a higher level and, mostly, knowing exactly what I had to do.

Matroska

@JohnnyShoulder That's not the one I'm talking about, I'm talking about the second battle simulator in the Shinra Building. The one in Chapter 17, like I said. There's quite a few more battles than you've seen so far including ones that force Hard Mode on. And that includes one where you have to fight multiple bosses in a row - really not looking forward to that one.

@Feena Nice, well done!

I haven't started Hard yet. I can't bring myself to try the pull-ups again so I haven't played it for a couple of days.

@Matroska So it would seem! Soz, I decided not to read when you said chapter 17 lol.

@Feena Noice! How many hours did that take you?

Thanks everybody! Can’t wait for part 2 😭

@JohnnyShoulder around 100 😅 But I am SLOW. and I didn’t skip any dialogue or cutscene on the second playthrough, because it’s all so pretty.

Ralizah

...just beat the game...

Not sure how I feel about the developers going full Kingdom Hearts for an hour to lampshade the fact that they're going to be making massive changes to the plot, but whatever. Hopefully Nomura got that out of his system.

The other 42 hours I played were amazing, and the New Game+ features look very nice.

@Feena Good work on getting the Platinum!

@Feena I'm close to 70 hours nearing the end of my first playthrough! The people (who mostly have not played it) who say this is not worth the price tag have got it so very very wrong.
