@Thrillho thanks, that'd be great. My friend said he'll try again later at about 8. He tried 3 times before and already did better than what I've managed so he should be able to do it, though you never know. Maybe it was beginner's luck. 😄
@JohnnyShoulder Somehow I completely missed the fact that you mentioned the motorbike chase sequence. Not sure what was going through my brain.
I like it, personally, since it jives well with the ridiculous action movie nonsense that happens over the course of that sequence, but if you don't like loud, pounding music, I could see why it would irritate.

@Ralizah Definitely. The patterns changing each time adds a lot of challenge given you can't see the pattern most of the time, and having to hammer a certain button can throw off your pattern repetition - at least for me. Squats was overall fairly easy.
Now to complete it on Hard. I feel pretty confident about most of it - especially Reno who's easy anyway but now I can absorb lightning attacks. 😏
Just finished it. I have almost no idea what was happening in that last hour or so. But I thought it was brilliantly entertaining but bonkers. Now to read all those articles and watch those videos I've been ignoring for the past 3 weeks.

Ok I've digested enough stuff about the ending. Apparently it's all about a packet of crisps/chips. I can see why people don't like it, but personally I'm more excited with this version as now I'm not totally sure what is going to happen in the next games.
What does everyone think of the comments from a few of days ago about potentially smaller more frequent releases? I did starting reading the comments but got a bit fed up of some just assuming it's going to be a cash grab.

I finally got the final summon from Chadley. That needs a lot of HP up materia to beat!
I’ve levelled up as much materia as I can bother with so I think I’m ready to start a hard run. Pray for me!
@JohnnyShoulder I think smaller releases will be difficult. They will need to stick to a tighter release schedule in my opinion as random release dates for Telltale games were really annoying; I’d rather they release a bigger game in 12 months than one part in 3 months and the next after another 9 months.
I don’t know which way lessens their issues around character and materia levelling between releases though.
@Thrillho Yeah I agree with the smaller releases. As long as it is not another 5 years until we get the next game I'd rather they take a bit more time and get it right. Hopefully they can iron out some of the graphical shortcomings too.
I'm gonna have a bit of a break from playing it now. I may go back and mop up a few of the trophies using chapter select but I doubt I will do a Hard playthrough. Good luck if you do! I will indeed Pray(er) for you.

I've hoovered up a few trophies since finishing. The level 50 one is pretty easy and quick to get (especially with the increased EXP after completion, and even more so if double with EXP+ materia); I finally got all intel reports; and the motorbike one is a doddle to do on easy mode (got it first time). Everything left needs a second run or hard mode to achieve now.
Also, once you've finished the game you can find Chadley and a new combat simulator right at the beginning of chapter 17.
Just defeat the first set of enemies and proceed through the level. You'll run into him with his normal fights but behind him is a new combat simulator with the old levels but also new ones that can only be played on hard.
Chapter 14 is your friend if you want to just go back to the Colosseum.
Seems like the Enigmatic Spectre doesn't get pressured by defeating a regular spectre in Hard Mode. An odd change. Unlike the change to the Guard Scorpion fight, this is kinda dull and just makes the fight more of a slog. Oh well. 🤔
Anyone else just skipping the scenes in hard mode or is it just me? The forced walking/squeezing through gaps etc really slow the pace of this game down that I feel I need to skip things just to keep up the pace.
Once I've completed Hard I'll prob do a full play through on Easy just to appriciate the story.
@icecube I switched to Japanese voices to give myself an incentive to rewatch them. Before starting on Hard, I actually replayed on Normal until about chapter 10 or so in order to level up my party and materia - so the temptation to skip it all would be too much.
