@Ralizah i still think this game is not just a remake but also a sequel

It would make sense and give the fact they called it FFVII Remake and not just FFVII a whole new meaning

@Ralizah I think so too! They could have easily put a fight with “Sephiroth” at the end without all this KH shenanigans. There were already many cutscenes implying this is not the original timeline. Anyway, I hope they got it out of their system too and they probably read online comments.

@JohnnyShoulder @FullbringIchigo yes, definitely worth the price! I’ve got the luxury of splurging time in it because of the lockup...work restarting soon, hopefully. What trophies have you got left to achieve?

I am getting the last few manuscripts and the P5R. Yes, I caved. I still think it should not be fully priced.

@FullbringIchigohah, almost there then! I missed the one you get from Hart because I am cheap, thank gos it’s not that much of a problem with the chapter system. Plz have this in more games

Oh, so, some questions based on the final chapter or two. I'm still pretty confused about some things:

• Did the whispers actually kill Wedge?
• We pretty clearly saw Biggs die during the tower scene, but he's alive in the epilogue. Is this an alternate reality?
• Is Zack still dead in the FF7R timeline, or was that an alternate reality?

@Ralizah so first off yes it was and they have linked to other games in other areas too such as Hojo mentioning G and S type Soldiers or Cloud calling Jenova Mother

@FullbringIchigo It'd be cool to get remasters of the spin-offs for PS4, then. I never owned a PSP, so my knowledge of CC is unfortunately all second-hand.

@Feena Honestly, I hope they just ignore this very weird climax in the sequels. The game went from 0 to Gurren Lagann with Cloud and friends beating up the personification of fate, and then Cloud literally dueling with Sephiroth out in space. Even attempting to out-crazy that in the sequels will ruin the story.

@Ralizah yeah I agree, I am mildly worried about the sequel just because I don’t want any time travel extravaganza. I am fine with changing the events somehow so it’s a fresh experience for everyone. About Crisis Core (good game!) basically the scene with Zack at the end of FF7R is the same (same direction, same cuts) FMV that played at the end of CC but of course in CC Zack died as we knew from the original FF7

Jeez, the music is pretty bad on chapter 18 for the motorbike chase section. Sounds like they gave a teenage octopus who is having a fit a guitar for its birthday.

@JohnnyShoulder Hahahaha, spot on! I am really mixed on the music. Some of the new ones are instant faves, like the very FF13 piece in collapsed highway, and some are just odd, like this one...same thing for the remixes!

I enjoyed almost all of the battle music in this game.

My favorite, although I really, really like the epic remix of Those Who Fight Further for the Airbuster fight.

The re-orchestrated versions of Tifa's Theme and the Final Fantasy series theme are also incredible.

Actually, stopping to think about it, there's almost no track I don't at least really like in this game. This is likely to be my OST of the year.

@JohnnyShoulder You didn't like the new mix of One-Winged Angel in Ch. 18? Personally, it's my favorite version of the song.

@Ralizah No it wasn't that song. I have the soundtrack so will listen to it later. I agree for the most part the soundtrack is fantastic. But occasionally parts of it can sound like it was meant for something you hear in every Japanese video game trailer ever.

To be fair, it was only part of the song which was giving me a headache and that is when the game was paused, so there was no sound effects or anything.

Some of my fave new music tracks are from the Colosseum.

Holy mother of god, the pull-ups are going to make me throw my PS4 through the window. I've failed 13 times today. This was my latest attempt, though I did peak at 30. Also this is my heart rate while playing; I think it's being so anxious that's screwing me up.

@Ralizah This was one I was referring to before. By the time i got to the boss, it was really beginning to give me a headache lol.

And also the first bike chase sequence I wasn't too keen on the music either.

Oh man, I might need a Phoenix Down in a bit. 😵
