Yeah I love the art style @Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy, and Ivalice is a wonderful, varied world to explore. The character designs are also top too.

Cheers for reccomendations @TraCuz-, it will probably be awhile before I play a JRPG again, but I've had my eye on Ni no Kuni for ages now, so will probably be that or FFXIV whenever I do decide to play one next.

@TraCuz- Sure thing bruv. Not sure when it will be though. How you finding it? I've not enjoyed any MMOs I've played so far, but I keep hearing good things about XIV.

So that is Zodiark bested and with that every Esper! That was a tough fight! It has this one special move that wipes out your party unless you have the right helm, and only had one of em. Only three more boss fights and I'll be ready to start the last mission.

Hell Wyrm defeated. Bloomin eck, that was a long one! At first it was dealing out a lot of damage, but once I gimped him enough so its hits didn't hit so hard and its defences were lowered (so my hits did hit hard), it wasn't too bad. It just has so. Much. Health.

I always make sure I've got enough potions and stuff before going into the battles. I've got enough money I can keep everything maxed out now.

Also the RNG for the all the best gear can do one. Some chests just do not want to appear for me, not matter how many times I go back to the area. I think I've spent enough time doing that, thank you very much! 😂

Okie dokie @TraCuz- I gotcha. I'm a teacher so the weekend probably is the best bet... I'll shoot you a friend request later on and hopefully we can work something out!

Well done on beating Hell Wyrm and Zodiark @JohnnyShoulder ... All your posts about FFXII has been tempting me quite a bit to start it back up!

But uhh if you thought that was bad I'm pretty sure the superboss Yizamat has like 5 times the health of the Hell Wyrm. If I recall correctly I think it has multiple health bars and you can even leave the battle at certain points because it's so goddamn long.

I picked up the hunt for Yizamat last night @Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy. I think I will leave myself at least an hour for that one! 😅 I've seen it takes longer but that might be without double speed.

I started to finish off the bestiary last night, did a few areas before looking at how many rare games there is to do.

Yeah, not happening! Think I've only done a dozen or so. So fudge that for a game of marbles.

My A team are level 68 or 69 so think I'm well placed to tackle whatever the game throws at me.

Yeah probably a wise descision to leave that out or you'll be there for weeks otherwise just searching for a different coloured rat or whatever... And you're already having enough trouble with the RNG for those chests to spawn with the best gear 😂

I've got a couple of the chests to pop up since I mentioned my struggles with the RNG. There are some more bits I wouldn't mind, will give it another go over the weekend and see where I am. I've got all the techniks and spells, but most of those you get naturally when playing through the game from shops etc.

For flips sake. Got Yizamat down to about 3/4 health... and the game crashes. 😭 That is 2 hours of life I will never be getting back! 😆

Ah well, at least I will know what I'm doing this time round, as I started the fight with my party dealing Holy damage (as I've been mainly fighting undead enemies of late), and he absorbs that, so had to tweak my party. He is weak to dark damage, unfortunately I locked myself out of the best weapon that deals Dark damage cos of the way quickenings work.

Not sure if I'm a fan of these super long boss fights. Sure, they are only optional but even if this one was cut in half it still would have felt epic. Once I got my gambits setup right, I just left the game in quadruple speed and went off and did something else most of the time. 😂 The only time I had to do anything was change my party leader when they were not revived straight away.

Yizamat is down! Basically just left it on in the background when I was working! 😁

Final Fantasy 13 was my first Final Fantasy game so I guess its my favorite , i get nostalgic about it & its the only FF game ive ever played lol , never beat it though , the game is looong. it came with 3 discs on xbox360 and i tapped out on disc 2 lol.

FF also taught me roman numerals

yeah , yeah , i know - ''ff13 worst game ever'' etc . but i mean , c'mon , as an outsider to the franchise , and 13 being my first , it seemed good to me , lol. gimmie a break , haha .

I kinda wish they'd remaster FFXIII for PS4/5 just so I can throw good money at it just to see if it's as bad as I remember just to be annoyed when it is and I'm now £50 worse off.

@johncalmc They already remastered The Lost Remnant so clearly Squeenix aren’t averse to polishing a turd.

@nessisonett They should just do the whole trilogy really and release it as a pack like X & X-2. From what I remember XIII-2 was actually good. Never played the third one. It's so funny how Square Enix desperately wanted to make Lightning a thing.

@johncalmc Yeah the second one was a lot better. Minus the Chocobo song. Them trying to make Lightning a thing despite her being blander than a margarine sandwich always confused me. They pushed that universe so hard and what did we really get out of it? Type-0?

@nessisonett I'm not sure what they saw in it. FFXIII wasn't particularly good at anything. I know some people say the battle system is good but I thought it was a mess. The story is incoherent. The characters are whatever. No towns. No exploration. Yawn. I don't know what inspired them to think they could get three games out of it.
