@RogerRoger Yeah, people can suspect they're being ignored that way, but that's indistinguishable from someone just not answering your posts. I don't see it as a problem, honestly. There are some people I respond to from time to time and NEVER see responses from, which means, either way, they're not interested in talking to me, and I'm just better off not engaging with them. That's their right, since I'm not entitled to other peoples' time or attention. But I'm clearly not blocked, because I can still follow the flow of conversations they engaged with. My user experience is unaffected. I do think it's better for some people to just not respond to you than to be locked out of half a conversation and feel like a pariah.
The perfect system would be for everyone to get along, but that's not realistic, so I feel like people not having to see the posts of a person they aren't interested in interacting with, for whatever reason is a good second-best solution.
@LN78 It is indeed a double edged sword. I can understand where you are coming from, but honestly if there are users being that obnoxious then that's the staff's job to ban them of course. You as a user have the right to report it and then the staff should look it over and ban them if they are being that obnoxious.
For me though, since the addition of the ignore button it makes me want to post here less. I only really post if a user tags me now as honestly I feel why post something that more then likely will be ignored. Several times I have indeed posted stuff and have been ignored.
In the end though it's their site and they are going to do what they do.

@Tasuki It's not that anybody was being obnoxious or offensive or doing anything worthy of reprimand by the mods. They were just getting on my last nerve constantly and without fail. I think that's what the mute functionality is for. I'm pretty sure that actual bad behaviour (such as use of offensive language) is getting reported to the moderators.
@ralphdibny I wish I were, buddy.
Feels like we've lost quite a few good folks of late. Must be something in the water.
I'm not sure if I've got KAIRU on PSN or not. That makes me sound like a jerk for not knowing my own friends, but I received quite a lot of messages during the screenshot competition, and my profile's friend total always fluctuates in the aftermath, so I can't recall who sent me what with 100% accuracy.
As you say, hopefully they'll get to see this at some point, and at least know that they'll be missed.
@KAIRU messaged me late last night bud and said that he’s in a good place and just had to disconnect from Push Square for a while… sounded like it could be a long while sadly. He did say that if you or anyone else on here wanted to add him on PSN, he’d be happy to accept the Friend Request 👍
On the topic of confrontation and disagreement a quote by @Bamozzy was pretty apt. I don't have it word for word but 'without disagreement there isn't much discussion'. It's true.
As for the parrots who comment. Like what Tezza mentioned above 'stay woke go broke' and similar sound bytes. Its pathetic really. With everything discussion is generally significantly more nuanced, throwing in politically charged, lowest common denominator slang doesn't further a discussion. More I'm right, your wrong.

Just had a message from @The_Moose, looks like he won’t be coming back, which is a real shame. I’m sure we’ll catch up on some co-op at some point but you’ll be missed on the boards 🫡
@stvevan Yeah I think he's done the same to me. Probably because I made a comment about attempted boycotts of Hogwarts Legacy will likely have the opposite effect.
