@nessisonett I guess somebody wasn't a fan of last week's State of Play. I thought it was ok, but not the great thing a lot of people made it out to be either.

Unfortunate to see RogerRoger close their account. Rog hasn’t posted in a while, but I just now realized the account is gone. I thought maybe it was just a temporary break but apparently it’s a permanent one. Here’s hoping all it well with them and if you’re out there Rog, cheers and happiness to you. 🍻

My account is recent but I’ve been checking this site for over ten years and can recognize most regulars so it’s sad to see a legend go. Hope Roger is doing great.

You can contact me just to say hi.
RogerRoger’s penchant for diplomacy had me looking inward on numerous occasions. Also a super talented writer, I really appreciated his presence here. Wherever he is now, they’re lucky to have him.

I had actually checked Rog's account when the "PS5 Games You've recently Purchased" thread disappeared a few weeks back and noticed that all his threads and article comments had gone.
Didn't want to bring attention to it at the time as all his forum posts were still intact at the time.
Rog was such a pleasure and an utter delight to chat and post with. I hope he's doing alright wherever he is.

I’m not generally a PSN messager but I did reach out to Rog and I did I hear back from him; he expresses his thanks for the kind sentiments and apologizes if his departure has caused any inconvenience or concern. (Especially for @Ralizah for any adverse effect on the review thread.) He didn’t offer any other detail and I didn’t ask, but he did say he was sorry if his departure caused any worry.
You can find comfort in the fact that he seems to be the same wonderful gracious person he’s always been.

@Th3solution Thanks for updating us Sol, I do see him regularly playing the latest classic addition to plus so there is comfort in that. I sent him my best also. It might possibly be overly dramatic but perhaps a positivity thread in his honour would be appropriate, good vibes only.

@Kidfried sorry to hear it’s been frustrating for you. I think every time I’ve had someone say they don’t like the feature I’ve had at least one other person thank us for implementing it.
Every instance is different and obviously there is two sides to each scenario.
We already made a change to implement a maximum number of users at any one time — the feature was added with the intent of people using it as a last resort in situations where bans were not applicable. With that in mind, there should only ever need to be a couple of people that need blocking at any one time.
A further consideration might me to implement a time limit on blocks, to encourage people to re-engage after they’ve cooled down. If problems persist it may be back to the moderators to intervene.
I don’t believe the feature should be obsolete, however, I do think there are instances where people aren’t using it as intended and therefore changes that encourage better usage are definitely up for discussion if you’ve got any further thoughts.
