@YummyHappyPills Yup hers pops out regularly enough for it to always be a worry, which comes with really intense pain. The operation was supposed to reduce/stop it, but it didn't work really. She could go through it all again but the recovery time is too long for her to put her life on hold.
The idea they floated around was chondromalacia patellae, which isn't pleasant to understand or say XD
That's my worry, once we know what the problem is...will it be fixable? If not then I'll just manage with walking around on a knee that likes to explore

@YummyHappyPills I think my girlfriend must have been unfortunate, these operations must have a good success rate or they wouldn't bother doing them. And best case scenario you don't actually need surgery but you can repair it with strengthening exercises. I think some people don't like to hear that to be honest, they almost want the more extreme option of surgery. Like I said though, personally speaking I've always been impressed at how my body has actually got itself through situations I didn't think it would manage. I've no doubt I'd be confined to my bed if it weren't for doing the right exercises, which does sometimes involve pushing through the pain barrier a bit - fortunately I know I'm not hurting myself and making it worse in the process.
If you need to sober up, I just saw I have 10GB free on my SSD (250GB). I mean sure I still have...1.66TB free on my HDD in my PC too but still, SSD speeds for programs you know?
£60 to £70 for another 256GB SSD. Ugh.
Also looking at a RAM ( Another 2 sticks of 8GB DDR4) upgrade from the 16gb (2 sticks) I have already but that's £230. So alongside a new GPU (Upgrading from my GTX 970 to probably a 1080, that's going to wait because them prices tho....

Started a new Hyper Light Drifter run tonight, halfway through in 1 hour 26! Really impressed with myself! I wonder if I can finish it tomorrow, in time for God of War on Friday.
Boom, cleared Hyper Light Drifter tonight, that's my third play through and it took me about 3 hours over 2 sessions. Nice little stop gap to see me through to God of War, I will try doing it quicker in the future. One day I will get the no death run trophy... one day..
@RogerRoger A few weeks ago it was still -20, and now it's 27, 28? I don't think I've ever witnessed an increase like that in such a short amount of time.
@RogerRoger@Octane I was actually wearing a coat and scarf last Friday. I don't cope very well with heat but I suppose it's more the humidity. Having the windows open is a pain because of the pollen. I would get air conditioning for the two or so weeks a year it's needed in this country.
As for the PS4 it's not as loud as my first Xbox 360 got - and that was loud even in the depths of winter. It did well though. After nearly five years it got to the point where I thought it would escape the dreaded RROD. And then it promptly got the RROD.
