Just curious for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with anything at all. Seriously, though, would love to know which gaming channels you're subscribed to! A list with links would be extra helpful... Er, I mean, interesting.
Angry Joe - great reviews
and clearly a fan, but swears far too much and is often late or has no new material for weeks at a time.

Johnny does pretty good reviews that are both informative and entertaining. Even if I don't agree with him, I find his videos to be very good, going above and beyond for a game. My only problem is that he tends to spoil games rotten, but recently he's telling where to skip on the video if you don't want spoilers.
The LP channel is also pretty fun too. There's no yelling like a 10 year old for one. Just Johnny and his brother & friend playing games. Right now they're doing LPs of Dead Space, Sly 3 and Super Castlevania 4.
"We don't get to choose how we start in this life. Real 'greatness' is what you do with the hand you're dealt." -Victor Sullivan "Building the future and keeping the past alive are one and the same thing." -Solid Snake
For Dark Souls or Bloodborne lore stuff then VaatiVidya is fantastic. Yahtzee14 (aka Yahtzee Croshaw) is always entertaining. There's a really cool female YouTuber from Australia called emmaexegames who's pretty good, sadly she doesn't release videos often but she's now working for a gaming PR company, so through her contacts she's had interviews with Naughty Dog and went hands on with PS VR. And there's HaleFail who as Caddicurus described her "she's the female version of me". Oh and finally Jim F****** Sterling Son!!!
i'm also subbed to official game company youtube channels such as Square Enix, Bandai Namco, SEGA and PlayStation but i doubt i need to put links to them
"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"
"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!
Fullbringlchigo has the links done for me, the two channels I watch mostly are Playstation Access and Outside Xbox, really enjoy their channels simply because they're funny
I also keep an eye on the Eurogamer channel because they do some cool video's aside from trailers and reviews https://www.youtube.com/user/Eurogamer/featured
For me, I only watch and subscribe to gaming channels that deliver news, tips or breakdowns (like weapon stats in FPS games). I cannot stand watching 'game-play' or 'play-throughs' of games I have or could buy and dislike pod-casts and 'idiots'. I do watch game-play videos of up-coming releases to get an idea of what the game looks like in action but these are promotional and never contain spoilers. I also watch video reviews too. Game video's have to have a informative function and so I tend to subscribe to channels like IGN, Xbox, Playstation and none of these have email notifications. I search what I am looking for and rely on what comes up in my recommended lists.
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
The Miller Report by Videogamer is amazing, but other than that I don't really watch gaming YouTubers. As noisy said, Angry Joe is good, and Zero Punctuation is another good review channel. Boogie2988 is good for his discussions on games as well
A professional multi-platform gaming outlet which has a great team of people. They manage to get a sense of professionalism, a great sense of humour and call things how they see them. And whilst they do have good reviews and news coverage, it's mainly because of the people who work there. They're the only multi-platform outlet I enjoy. (Obvious I come to Push Square for Sony and Nintendo Life for Ninty!).
■ N64 Glen Plant
(A Brit who has done a pretty good job reviewing virtually every N64 game ever)
■ Gggmanlives
(Aussie who specializes in reviewing first person games, mostly shooters, a little PC centric but not all of the time)
■ AdamKoralik
(A guy in Chicago who mostly looks at consoles themselves and cleaning hardware, he's not always correct, but his enthusiasm makes up for it)
■ Game Trailers and GT Reviews
(Out of all the bigger sites, I like GT the most, mostly due to personalities....)
■ Lazy Game Reviews
(PC centric, but the guy is pretty smart and his tech tales are ace,......I always enjoy watching the reviews for older PC games.......he's also positive)
■ AngryCentaurGaming
(Does a good job of covering PC and console gaming, despite the name of the channel, he doesn't act absurd or overly pissed off........nice reviews for current releases big and small)
■ HappyConsoleGamer
(He comes off as likeable guy in general who is genuine without being super nerdy or obnoxious......he's a bit more into niche titles like JRPG's or old arcade games, but still covers some current events)
■ Ahoy and Ahoy 2
(Interesting commentary, his bigger productions like "A Brief History of Graphics" are some of the best stuff on YouTube, must watch)
@get2sammyb: Sorry for the late response. What drew me to him original is just how upbeat he is. Alot of people on YouTube seem to use it as a platform to rant even if it's for comical means like Angry Video Game Nerd, (which I do enjoy but that's another subject) and he was just a breath of fresh air. Plus his views on games especially retro are very similar to my own. Even if he has something negative to say (Like how Konami treated Kojima), he always says it in an upbeat kind of way rather just as angry ranter.
True story I can say that what you see on his shows is the real guy. I met him this past October at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo and he was indeed just a cool guy. He made sure during his autograph session everyone got a handshake, autograph and picture. Then when I saw him shopping amoung the vendors, I began talking to him and we talked for about a half hour not once did he say oh I am sorry I am busy or looked like he rather be somewhere else. We walked around to the vendors together bsing and shopping together, the only reason he left was cause the Expo was closing and he had to drive back to Vancouver. But yeah he's just down to earth.

DYKG (Did You Know Gaming?) - I watch the "Did You Know Gaming?" & "Easter Egg Hunting" lines.
Gaijin Goombah - I watch the "Game Exchange" & "Culture Shock" lines (the latter I watch on The Game Theorists channel, since it's also uploaded there).
GameXplain - I watch their "Cool Bits" & "Analysis" lines of videos.
GameTrailers - I watch their "Top 5/10", "Five Fun Facts", "Pop Fiction", "Pop Facts", and "Timeline" lines (it should be noted that neither Pop Fiction or Pop Facts have had a new entry in months, and Timeline is an annual thing).
Mark Hayes - He's behind the Super Mario Bros. Z sprite based fan series, and after many, many years absense, has just started up a reboot
ScrewAttack - I watch the "Top 5/10", "Death Battle", & "1 Minute Melee" lines.
Team Four Star - They're more known for their DBZ Abridged parody, but they also have some LP's of them playing the DBZ games, which are pretty funny because they'll get into character sometimes (the only LP's I've ever watched).
The Game Theorists - I watch the "Game Theory" and "Culture Shock" lines.
The Gaming Historian - Only has a real post every few months, but usually quite long & quite interesting.
I'm also subscribed to the main channels of Nintendo, Playstation, & Xbox.
In fact, the only channel's I'm subscribed to that have nothing to do with gaming are Alltime10's & Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
I can't post links because I'm on my 3DS.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Matthewmatosis - one of the most well-rounded and in-depth reviewers you'll ever find on the platform.
I couldn't agree more. He's probably my favourite reviewer. His reviews are usually around 30-45 minutes long and cover probably everything that's good and bad in the game. With a focus on game design and accompanied by great arguments, I find it difficult to ever disagree with what he says.
The only unfortunate thing is, he doesn't post more than 1 review a month, sometimes even less frequent that that, because his reviews take such a long time to make. He even did a Dark Souls review/commentary that was over 6 hours long. Anyway, he covered games like Zelda, Mario, Metal Gear Solid, The Last of Us, Shadow of the Colossus and many more. It's definitely worth your time to watch some of them them, but only if you have played the games he reviews.
I have a love / hate relationship with Kinda Funny and XOXO. Sometimes they come off as very likeable, but sometimes Greg comes off as egotistical and Colin as very smart but at times overly opinionated (did that guy even beat a game this year?). Either way, I do enjoy their Playstation centric shows...........Tim seems like a nice guy though.
