I know PlayStation does have their own "Treehouse Style" videos, but they don't seem as engaging. With Nintendo's videos, you're pretty much guaranteed to get about 15 - 30 minutes of gameplay per video while they're talking about the game, while the PlayStation ones can go as short as 10 minutes and pretty much just be two or three people sitting in chairs talking about a game, with the only footage of the game being a replay of the trailer we've already seen.
Of course, not all the PlayStation ones are like that, but it's enough to hinder my enthusiasm to watch them. Then again, maybe I'm just watching the wrong videos ;P

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I won't be here for the EA conference, I may drop in and check on the announcements, but I can't watch it live and leave a bunch of snarky comments, I'm sorry
@Octane Pretty sure I'll have to miss it as well. At least it's the best possible conference to miss, although the comments during the EA ones are pretty great.
Another weak conference of EA, but that was expected. It's cool that Unravel 2 is already available and Sea of Solitude looks interesting. I feel that they failed to build the hype for games like Battlefield V and Anthem.
I’m stuck at work so I only caught bits of the EA conference... .
All that streaming/subscription stuff is scary.
The end goal in such a future is to cut out the ‘middle man’ & not just accessibility.
Start with the retailers (cuts) & then get rid of the platform holders (licensing fee).
If all the major publishers role out their own subscription/streaming services where does that leave the current platform holders?
MS are ready to embrace it with GamePass & their service games.
Sony have PSNow, but that’s not there yet. They’re the least equipped to tackle such a future. Also I’d doubt that they would be able to compete with MS on such a front (services).
Nintendo can do what it wants. They’ll survive on the back of their IP.
I think we’re at least 2 generations away from consoles becoming obsolete.
Sony are in a position of dominance, but for how much longer?
I think they should use the time that’s ‘left’ to continue to build & grow WWS. Add studios, lots of them & become self sufficient. Then add some smaller developers/publishers (to their service- PSNow?) to help build the game library.
Probably overreacting, but I really dread the day I’ll have to sign up to multiple subscription services to just play some games.

The reality is consoles have always had prime spots in kids Chritmas and Birthday presents. Also parents dont like loads of subscriptions for kids as there is always something else they want next week. So thats something.

@themcnoisy that what nintendo will be there making handhelds or more versions of the the switch filled with indies and thier ips competeing with steam on PC and there will be how it ends where it started in gen 3
@andrew20 Sony will just give up after ps5. Lol. No chance, Although if that did happen I would go full on retro and be in my mid 40s anyway.

@Knuckles-Fajita Exactly, it's disappointing for a game that will be released soon.
@Fight_Teza_Fight I know dude, it's really awful that we are heading this way. Sigh, I will probably be a retro gamer or leave gaming for good. They will probably focus in multplayer games to push subscriptions for these services.
@themcnoisy I don't know man. I think streaming games will be the future. Just a question of when.
Better prepare ourselves for the 'streaming wars' that will follow.
Such a future is still someway away & I think Sony will still cater to our hardware needs even if it becomes an afterthought (less profitable).
@PS_Nation Ubisoft says we'll be there by next gen, EA is actively pushing for it and EVEN Capcom has Resi7 running of the cloud for Switch in Japan.
I just hope the uptake won't be as quick as they would like it to be. The time would hopefully allow Sony to build up WWS and make their exclusives the draw (like Nintendo), which would leave them in a position of power.
At the minute though with the push for cross-play and streaming it does seem like Sony is fighting a losing battle.
All doom and gloom following a EA press conference. What else is new lol.

I don't dread the day all games become streamed, because I know when that day comes the technology will be there to support it and we'll be ready for it.
@kyleforrester87 yeah it's a pain or at the very least get theirs in right after
i never understood why MS always get the first shot, they should rotate it each year (but then again i'm sure the american companies running the show want to give the prime time slot to the American console, either that or MS just pay them a truck load of money for it)

@KratosMD I reckon you'll love the Switch, it really is a brilliant machine. I won't be watching Nintendos live show as I'll be at work according to your handy chart but between Ninty and Sony there will be plenty for me to catch up on when I get home Tuesday evening!
I'm really enjoying E3 so far, there's been some hype games for me. Very excited for Hitman 2, Tetris Effect, and Twin Mirror. I thought Sea of Solitude at EA looked good as well.
