@get2sammyb will you be showing the MS conference on the site again this year?

Been hearing rumours of Xbox one will be BC with Dream cast, if that's true then it'll be a very bizarre move cos I honestly can't see much benefit in it.

Well, they can't come up with new games so I guess they can just keep adding old ones. Joking aside I want MS to wow me but I doubt they will. I have yet to feel like I'm missing out by not having a One this gen.

That'll be a crowd-pleaser, but what a ridiculously weird thing to reveal. I can't see that happening.

That would be cool. At the same time though...didn't SEGA they were considering both that and Saturn games for their SEGA AGES line on Switch as well? It'd be a nice reveal but not unique to Xbox at that point.

Which now I think about it is the entire problem with the Xbox One. "Oh that's nice. But it's also on PC/PS4/Switch/My Toaster".

@get2sammyb The Dreamcast did run on Windows though so it's not like it couldn't happen but yeah it would be strange for SEGA do something like that just for the XBOX unless MS have brought them out

@FullbringIchigo Why would they do it, though? Licensing issues mean you can't re-sell Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, or Space Channel 5 — and even if you could, all that cash is going to SEGA?

@get2sammyb yeah it doesn't make much sense UNLESS people have misunderstood and we are getting a SEGA Dreamcast Collection like the Mega Drive one that was just released?

@get2sammyb Licensing issues means you cant sell those few games but that didn't stop SEGA publicly and openly mulling over the idea for DC on Switch.

A Dreamcast collection or BC on Xbox One isn't that far out of the question.

A Dreamcast Collection makes a LOT more sense. I could see that for sure.

@WanderingBullet I mean, it's not confirmed (I think), but it's almost a given.

@get2sammyb Dreamcast collection does make more sense, if you allow BC for Dreamcast discs, that open the Xbox One to problems with fake/bootleg discs like the DC. Plus why would they allow BC with Dreamcast discs especially with Shenmue Collection coming out later this year?

A Dreamcast collection for Xbox kind of makes sense - after all a number of Sega games like Jet Set Radio, Shenmue 2 etc did release on Xbox. BC for the Sega OG Xbox games could well be a thing - JSR Future was an Xbox favourite for many - you also had Sega GT and a few others that were developed for Dreamcast but ended up on Xbox after that console was discontinued. Sega wanted the Xbox to be backwards compatible and to play Dreamcast games - maybe where this rumour comes from - that or the rumour of a Dreamcast emulator that was allegedly coming last year...

May as well get this out of the way.

Microsoft - I expect games. With 15 world premiers, most of which will be on other things, I expect them to show some exclusives this time to at least re-energise the brand. Expectations - Meh.

Bethesda - Fallout 76 and Rage 2, a reminder of what is likely to be their last Switch title in Wolfenstein 2 and I dunno...Starfield I guess? Expectations - It'll be fine.

Square Enix - Octopath gets a final push, DQ11 for PS4/PC (Switch MIA still), Dragon Quest Builders 2 reveal gameplay, some smaller things, Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts, Just Cause 4 and Avengers. Nothing FF7. Expectations - Probably the best of the lot.

Ubisoft - Just Dance will be on the Wii. Starlink will be shown, primarily on Switch. Skull and Bones. Assassins Creed on Xbox One X. DLC for things. Announce a movie. VR segment. Division 2. Live services. Expectations - It'll be fine.

Sony - Death Stranding is revealed to be an actual game. The Last of Us Part 2 looks like a Naughty Dog game and will be critically acclaimed. Spider-Man looks more like Arkham in combat, hope to see some exploration gameplay actually. Ghost of Tsushima hopefully doesn't play like Samurai Dark Souls, and looks good given Sucker Punch has a penchant for world building. Devil May Cry 5 exists. Resident Evil 2 Remake finally appears after 3 years. Expectations - Fine but nothing mind blowing.
