Does TLOU count?
I'm not into full-on horror games (they stress me out) but I have a few horror-adjacent ones to try, including Ghostwire Tokyo.
I might also be interested in Alan Wake (it's on sale right now).
@Voltan To give an honest answer, I'd say no for horror, but it's still Halloween related since it has zombies. I'd still count it, and it's not because I'm currently playing The Last of Us Part 1.

@LN78 $70 - 120 for a Greatest Hits copy in good condition. Up to around $200 or more if you want a CiB original release of the game. There are pricier games. It's not insane like Rule of Rose on PS2, which trends around $800, for example.
@RogerRoger Yeah, the PS1 era was still very Wild West in terms of voice acting and script writing. Particularly when it comes to some of these classic, but often poorly localized, Japanese games.
The PSP/PS4 re-release was redubbed and retranslated, I believe, but some people still really like the hammy quality of the original's dialogue.
I'm kind of tempted to fire the NGC back up and replay Eternal Darkness. Other than that I will probably play some of the anthology games and maybe finish resi VIII.
I’m a big fan of Dead Space 1 and particularly 2 and in my mind I never actually completed 3. I have been wanting to play through it again recently to see if I was maybe being unfair/expecting too much of it off the back of number 2.
I just watched a 1.5 hour play through summary/review on YouTube and as I watched I began remembering key moments - turns out I did finish it after all back on release, and it just really is fairly forgettable. It doesn’t seem like a bad game all told, just a bad Dead Space game. Some of the set pieces and scenery in particular look really cool.
EA really screwed it up with micro transactions, a stronger lean toward a co-op experience versus single player and an ending that was chopped off and sold as DLC a month after release of the main game 🤦♂️
It’s really quite strange that we are getting Callisto Protocol and Dead Space Remake now within a couple of months of one another. I really hope Callisto Protocol is the far superior game, and I want the DS Remake to be a success since I guess it can only benefit the survival horror genre overall.
@kyleforrester87 I never bothered with the third game either and I found it funny reading comments on her for Callisto Protocol where every other one was along the lines of “I’ve been looking forward to a sci-fi horror game for years since DS2!”
Completing the original with just the base weapon was great fun.
I'm very much in halloween gaming mode already... Today I have been killing skeletons, ghosts and monsters while grinding for levels in Victor Vran, being munched on by zombie dogs when running low on ammo in RE5 and giggling at the random frustration of Death Road to Canada - my last character died while trying to rescue a pig!

I never did play Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare so now is as good a time as any. Series S of course, none of that streaming rubbish from the PS Store.
Yay so the spoopy month of October is once again upon us so its time to be scared witless by janky indie games, survival horror classics or those hiding in the cupboard/under the bed etc. games that I don't much enjoy.
So, anyone got any special plans to complete any Horror games this month? Let us know on this now undead thread...
Personally I went a bit early this year and have recently completed Horror Tales: The Wine and Infliction: Extended Cut - both firmly in the janky indie game category. I'm currently playing through Dread Nautical and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on PS4 (through I would describe both of these as more horror adjacent titles).
I am hoping to get around to starting and finishing Signalis (PS4) and RE Village (PS5) amongst other stuff.

Good necro bump.
Gonna play Call of Cthulhu , Dead nation, Calllisto Protocol and perhaps The Quarry. I might play some Resident evil 2, I bought this quite a few years ago earned one trophy and shelved it. The PS5 version has been launched in the meantime.
Perhaps some Walking dead onslaught, Doom 3 Vr, or paranormal activity...something in VR now that the cooler months are here.
Of course I won't be able to fit even half of that lot in.
Happy Halloween everyone.
I absolutely love this time of the year as I really enjoy playing horror games. I'm not sure how many I'll play this time as October is a very busy month for gaming. If I do find the time, I'd want to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Silent Hill and Resident Evil: Revelations. And if I feel like it, I might even get Alan Wake 2 at launch.
