I'll agree with all the posts above, I visit Nintendo Life regularly too and enjoy the content and do comment but I have had a few people post not very nice replies to things and also, being critical of things can go down the wrong way. I feel that the posters here on PS are more 'gamers' in the sense that they accept that there is a lot of different hardware, genres and games and most debates, even if heated, have a degree of toleration of differing ideas.
I'm generalising of course, some great posters on NL but I like to discuss other gamers on Push Square.
On topic, has anyone here been looking at any seconday docks for the Switch, like some being developed on kickstarter? I kind of want a spare dock but £70 is steep.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@Rudy_Manchego You should look into USB-C hubs. They're technically the same as a dock, a converter from USB-C to AC, HDMI and USB. I'm not sure if the Switch if compatible with all of them, and you can't stand your Switch vertically, but it's a lot cheaper than the plastic shell Nintendo is selling.
@johncalmc I personally find the PC master race to be the worst. Anything that's not a 1000+ dollar gaming PC is beyond worthless in their eyes, which is ridiculous. 4K and 60 FPS isn't the most important factor in gaming, contrary to what they may believe.
Nintendo Life has a great community, actually. One of my favorites on the internet. The forums strike a great balance between freedom and moderation, and most of the people who I talk to are absolutely passionate about video games. I love that I can actually talk out disputes with other members without moderators getting up in my grill.
Currently Playing: Fields of Mistria (PC); Cookie Clicker (PC); Metaphor: ReFantazio (PC); Overboard! (PC)
@KirbyTheVampire Actually, yeah. PC Master Race are the worst. To be fair, fanboys of anything are bad. These are all money grabbing companies trying to part you with your money. We shouldn't pledge allegiance to them like football teams.
BTW, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Direct today. Who's excited?
Xenoblade Chronicles was probably my favourite game on the Wii. I sunk hundreds of hours into that. I'm really hoping this one knocks it out of the park. And on a personal note, I'm really hoping that the baddies still all have comedy cockney accents.
@johncalmc I watched the trailer yesterday (will reserve judgement on the voice acting, I can only assume it's supposed to be terrible!) but it didn't look that great - way too much overwrought political mumbo jumbo. It reminded me of the worst parts of FF12. I'm still interested because I heard good stuff about the last one.. I dunno though..
@kyleforrester87 Xenoblade Chronicles' voice acting was garbage town but the game was wonderful. It was a massive RPG with a fairly interesting story and some fun combat. Honestly, I loved that game.
Is it possible to transfer games (& saves) from the system storage to extended storage like on PS4?
I probably won't get time to pick up a memory card till the weekend, but I really feel like picking up Sonic Mania for the Switch digitally.
Also physical copy of WWE2K18 is going to require a 24GB download. I really hope that this isn't the way third party support is heading.
I'll still pick up the majority of releases on PS4, but certain games just lend themselves better being portable.

@BLP_Software Moot question. I see it now, it's within system settings. Data management under the game file only has archive/delete software.

The Yes was: Yes, you can put your games on your SD Card.
Bonus Fact: If you unlink your Nintendo Account from your Switch and get another one, you can redownload all your games if you link that unliked account.
The No was: No, you cant move save data.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
@BLP_Software Thanks for clearing that up. Thought I might lose progress in the process. On vita if you delete the game, you delete the save. So that's good to know.

@Fight_Teza_Fight I had that hesitation as well. I wish Vita games were like PSP games where you had to delete the save data separately.
And hopefully the paid service introduces cloud saves to the Switch. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to back up my save data in this day and age.
@johncalmc Day one downloadable DLC for JP voices like in Persona 5. FE Warriors had downloadable Japanese audio as well, and BotW had multiple spoken languages patched in. It's looking like a new standard for Nintendo's more Japanese first-party games.
Which is fantastic, considering this is another Xenoblade game where everyone is dubbed in British English. Shivers
