@Tasuki: That looks outstanding. I could buy the wii u just for that.

@Tasuki: Read the review and then watched a review on youtube. Awesome. No story and straight into gameplay. Finally someone gets it. Looks the absolutely dogs nuts. Super jealous of any wii u owners. Wipeout 2046 just doesn't cut it on the vita.

IMO, VR is simply too much of a gamble ATM. Though I do applaud Sony for creating a cheaper alternative to the luxury HTC and Rift, their history of dumping peripherals and non-home consoles is a worrying indicator for the future. I definitely recommend waiting.
The Wii U is definitely worth getting. With all the NX talk, prices should be going down pretty soon - but even right now, I'd say it's worth the investment. Obviously, your enjoyment will be determined by the type of games you enjoy - but the console has given me immense pleasure.
Super Mario 3D World
Mario Kart 8
Smash Bros (expensive with all DLC, but absolutely huge)
Wind Waker HD & Twilight Princess HD
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (another huge game)
Xenoblade Chronicles X (I thought it was average, but many like it)
Pokken Tournament
Wonderful 101
Bayonetta 1 & 2
Pikmin 3
Lego City Undercover
Project Zero/Fatal Frame V
Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush
Yoshi's Woolly World
New Super Mario Bros. U/Luigi U
Rayman Legends (some consider this the best version, but I have it on Vita)
Zombi U (again, best version)
Hyrule Warriors
DK Country: Tropical Freeze
Game & Wario
Nintendo Land (lame single player, awesome multiplayer)
Of course, there's also Star Fox Zero and Zelda U coming, but there's also all the eShop and classic games - as well as exclusives like Fast Racing NEO and Affordable Space Adventures, and Wii BC.
I don't know if you'd reconsider your thoughts on the Xbox One. It's also a good option, with games like Dead Rising 3, Master Chief Collection, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rare Replay, Gears Remaster and Killer Instinct. Quantum Break looks nice, and it comes with Alan Wake for free - not to mention Gears 4, Scalebound, Cuphead. ReCore and Sea of Thieves.
@Kage_88: Im more into Japanese games to be honest, the shooty shooty bang bang games have worn me down. Gears, Halo, Alan wake. The thought of playing them again doesn't exactly get me excited. However Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Bayonetta do tickle my pickle.

For Wii U, you have many good games...Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, DK Country Tropical Freeze, Zelda Twilight Princess, Zelda Wind Waker, Lego City Undercover, Scribblenauts, Sonic Lost World, Yoshi Wooly World, Xenoblade...and you have Zelda U, Star Fox and Paper Mario coming up. They also have many great old nintendo classics on the E-Shop. The only problem is finding many retail games, and probably when the NX comes out, it will be even harder and start getting harder to find the controllers...it also plays all of the old Wii games, so that expands the library too. It's not that bad of a system, if you read the complaints and put downs on the internet and some of the magazines...it's a good nintendo-lovers system! I enjoy it and so do my wife and kids...just not a lot out for it 3rd party wise.
As the Playstation VR goes, it's just like what others put on here...Move didn't last, Wonderbook didn't last long at all (which reminded me of all the nintendo zapper guns, but with the fact that the preorders are overloaded, it could take off...it's just a wait game to see if it continues and what games are coming out for it...it's still not out, so there's no telling on what is coming out and what developers will make, and just like a console, developers will wait to see if it will sell first and then start making games for it...giving games a year in it's launch to come out for it.
As far as nintendo's next system goes, just like their previous ones, it will be almost a year in before you see the true magic of it...just like the playstation and xboxes, but it all goes into what you prefer and play and what you would want to spend the money on. Personally, I'd wait for the VR...at least until after the holidays and for a price drop to happen, then go from there. I'll even be waiting on nintendo's next system (depends though), but that's what I'm saving the money up for first. Other than that, I own a PS4, PS3, 3DS and Wii U and happy with all four (I own many older consoles too). Have no complaints about any!
Plenty of games on Wii U at this point making it well worth the purchase vs PSVR which could flop super hard and be a cash sink (not saying it will flop and I really hope it doesn't but Sony drop failures fast). If you are having a hard time deciding wait for like 4-6 months after PSVR drops.
