In the second weekend of the Black Ops 6 beta, from 6th September to 9th September, anyone can play the beta. You'll just need to download it from your respective platform's built-in store. For PS5 and PS4 owners, that'll be the PS Store and you need the main Call of Duty app.
If you download the beta from the first weekend, you won't need to do anything for the second; you can boot it up from the same launcher and continue playing. Your level progress should also carry over, allowing you to unlock more of the rewards detailed below.

Absolutely zero interest in Call of Duty on my end but nice that fans get an open beta prior to release. My son is a huge fan and I often give him crap like "You bought a Series X and PS5 and all you ever play is Call of Duty?!?!?!"
I preordered this so I’ll dive in for a few hours and give it a whirl like I normally do. I’m not gonna lie - I enjoy COD and play it every year. Sure, some offerings are better than others and none of them are ‘perfect’, but there’s no denying it’s one of, if not The Most, solid FPS on the market. People can hate on it all they want but there’s a reason it’s one of the most successful video game franchises EVER.
Dam, I'm probably going to miss out on the week 1 operator skin. Will only able to play the first beta for about 3 hours on the Friday. So prob not enough time to get to level 20. Least will be able to play a couple of days on the 2nd one.
The weekend one operator skin is very reminiscent of the hazmat suit skin I used in Cold War zombies so I’m glad to see it.
If you've not preordered yet but have an Xbox with gamepass aswell you can still play the beta too btw 🙂
@Almost_Ghostly at least he plays games my son just watches other streamers play games
Would be interested in the open beta but 80gb is huge for a 3 day demo
@Almost_Ghostly Sounds like my son. Wanted an Xbox, never played it. Wanted a PS5, never played it. Wanted a gaming laptop, plays it all the time, for friggin Roblox. I have to be honest though, I wanted the Xbox and PS5 so I am enjoying them myself.
"If you have Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 already installed and fully updated, you'll receive a patch to the Call of Duty app to access the beta"
In other words, the game is essentially glorified DLC! 😂
Also, the fact Loading Screens are actual in-game rewards is just insane. Like, have they really run out of character/weapon customization ideas and moved on to loading screens?!
I bought the last three Modern Warfare games because I liked this semi-realistic approach in terms of gunplay, movement, and sounds, but based on the gameplay videos, this one doesn't quite seem like that. It's too fast, as if the character is Speedy Gonzales with an airsoft gun.
i swore not to support AB after MWIII but there's an itch that only CoD seems to be able to scratch and damn, BO6 looks great, so after skipping last year's CoD it'll give them another chance.
Also, 8 maps in the beta? Dayum!
