The Demon bosses in Demon's Souls are the hardest and most stressful part of the whole affair. Filling up on souls in the stage prior only to have to prove yourself against a giant enemy with a massive health bar to match is almost always a daunting task.
But don't worry, in this Demon's Souls guide we'll have you covered by breaking down each of the game's bosses and the best way to approach them. Take a deep breath, have a look at the tips below, and try your best to enjoy yourself and the challenge that the bosses pose.
How to beat the Adjudicator in Demon's Souls
This dude's name and stature make him seem far more intimidating than he actually is. This is a fight that can be over in mere minutes if you know how to handle him, and our plan is to describe to you exactly how to do so. The Adjudicator's sole weakness doubles as its only vulnerability – hitting the fiery crow atop its head is what will actually kill it.
The Melee Method
It's a bit difficult to hit the glowing crow on the Adjudicator's head with a sword thanks to how tall he is. Thankfully, there's a solution! It's got a gnarly gash on its left side (your right if you're facing it head on) which you should slash away at. Its own attacks are so slow and specific that merely moving toward the side should keep you out of harm's way.
After doing enough damage to the wound in his side, the Adjudicator will topple over and leave the crow on its head open to attack. Hit it as many times as you can while it's defenseless. You should only have to repeat the above steps three times on the high end to do him in and reap the rewards.
The Ranged Method
Similar to the head of the Tower Knight, there's nothing stopping you from sniping the crow on the Adjudicator's head with some spells or a bow. Stay up on the higher levels when you enter, lock onto its head, and unload whatever you've got into the crow to make easy work of this boss fight.
Be careful of the Adjudicator's tongue attack though. It'll still be able to hit you from up top, but the crow will screech to telegraph every attack. Whenever you hear the crow's caw, dodge roll back, and carefully tiptoe back up to the ledge to fire off another projectile. Repeat this process, and the mass of flesh will eventually come crumbling down.
Adjudicator Rewards
Assassinating the Adjudicator provides you with:
- 11,700 souls

Killed him first try on first play through. The level itself kicked my buttocks but Adjudicator went right down from a flurry of fireballs.
NG+? Nope. One-shotted me as soon as I entered the fight.
After reading this article, now I now see he has a crow and stuff. I beat him so quick and from so far away the first time I didn’t even know what he looked like!
I’m currently waiting for my MP to replenish itself, leaving this comment, before trying again while keeping your tips in mind.
Thanks.
