Want to have the Diablo Shop explained and know when it refreshes in Diablo 4? The Diablo Shop is an in-game store where real money can be exchanged for Platinum, a premium currency which can, in turn, be used to purchase all manner of unique cosmetic items. On this page, as part of our Diablo 4 guide, we'll explain the Diablo Shop and when it refreshes so you can stay ahead of the latest fashion trends.
Diablo 4: Diablo Shop Explained and When It Refreshes
Diablo 4 is a live service game, which means it comes with the usual complement of Seasonal additions and Battle Pass unlocks. In addition, it features an easily accessible store called the Diablo Shop (Hit the Touchpad, and use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Shop tab), which sells premium skins and cosmetic unlocks in exchange for Platinum. Blizzard, at least so far, seems to have learned some lessons from Diablo 3's real-money Auction House and has promised to restrict things to cosmetic microtransactions only for those who want them.
The Diablo Shop refreshes weekly on a Monday, with the first taking place on 5th June 2023. Hundreds of new cosmetic items have been promised on a rotating roster. So don't be too concerned if you miss out on that special skin you'd had an eye on; chances are it will come back around before too long.
The exact exchange rate will differ depending on your region, and you can find the exact conversion here on Blizzard's Battle.net, but be prepared for some sticker shock. As in the example above, a purchase of 2800 Platinum is required to unlock the 2200 Lion of Arreat pack, costing roughly $25 USD or £20.99.
Skin packs are Class-specific and can only be worn by characters of the corresponding class. While each will vary in price and what is contained, in keeping with our Lion of Arreat example, it comes with Helm, Chest Armor, Gloves, Pants, Boots, Accessories (tattoos), Two-Handed Sword, and Polearm. All are cosmetic in nature only and simply transmogrify your existing gear to look this way, and can be done with any piece of corresponding gear moving forward. Whether the price of entry is worth it is up to you alone, but there are some pretty awesome pieces on display, and we are sure the best is still yet to come.
