How Do You Gain Access to the Elden Ring Closed Beta?
The period for closed beta registration is now over, so unfortunately, if you hadn't signed up, you won't be getting into Elden Ring's beta.
For those that did manage to sign up in time, check your inbox! Bandai Namco has now sent out 50,000 codes to the lucky chosen ones. Did you receive a beta invite?
What Is Included in the Elden Ring Closed Beta?
The Elden Ring closed network test allows you to play the opening hours of the game. What does this mean? Well, it'll allow you to choose your character from five classes and get a taste of the game's combat and open world, letting you explore an area called Limgrave. There are bosses to fight, unique items to find, and hidden locations to discover. You'll also be able to try out the game's multiplayer options.
It's an online network test, which means you'll need to be connected in order to take part. It's not been stated whether you need a PlayStation Plus subscription in order to play the beta, but we assume you do.
On Which Platforms Can You Play the Elden Ring Closed Beta?
The Elden Ring closed beta test will be available on PS5 and PS4, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series systems.
Does the Elden Ring Closed Beta Include Crossplay?
Elden Ring's closed network test does feature crossplay, but only across generations, not across platforms. For instance, if you're playing the beta on PS5, you can play with others on both PS5 and PS4, but not with those playing on Xbox consoles.
That about does it for our Elden Ring beta test guide. Will you be playing the closed network test, or are you waiting for the full release? Let us know in the comments section below.

Registered today for the PS5 version, maybe I'll get lucky.
@dschons Unless they snuck an email and I missed it, Imma check, otherwise nothing for now. Maybe next week or closer to end of week we get update.
@dschons As it's written in the Terms of Use :
"Each Winner will be personally notified by the Organizer by email on November 9th, 2021 and will receive the Beta Access on the same day"
"For the avoidance of doubt, non-Winners will not receive any email"
On top of that
"The number of Winners is fifty thousand (50,000)"
"The Winners will be chosen as follows: “first come, first served"
@Shinnok789
Good clarification 👍
@Quintumply Link above goes to guilty gear not elden ring beta
@Shinnok789 Yep, you might get lucky. If not, there's always ONLYFANS.
Wow, east coast times suck. Guess this is a western event. Somebody at FS is seriously high if they think east coasters are gonna wake up at 6am on a Friday, 10pm-1am is a joke, big fail.
I'm going to buy this anyway so i'm not really bothered about the beta..cant wait..
@Bunchesopuppies 12th of November, 3 am start time Pacific, aka west coast...14th of November, 3 am start time pacific again.
@lolwhatno thank yous! That's my 130lb cane corso, pittie mix, groot! My big baby.
Hoping to get into the network test. Itching for this game.
Is this article a joke?
It tells us it will provide information on how to access the beta, gives a load of dates and times, and then mentions it's too late anyway.
Really good stuff.
hmmmm not liking the whole "need a PS plus account" requirement as I don't have one and signed up for the beta test when it opened. You think that would be a question they would ask before signing up no?
As far as times I can do the first 3 being in the EST time zone, but the last two nope.
I signed up for the beta, but I doubt I'll get lucky. Still, fingers crossed.
The UK times! They must think we're a nation of unemployed layabouts!
Anyone get an email yet?
@Elodin
Just got one from a Ugandan Prince.
Seems he wants to put money in my account, and I get to keep 20%.
Seems legit.
I'll let you know how it goes.....
@Skywalker1080p 🤣😂🤣
@Skywalker1080p hahah made me laugh .. good one.
curious as well if anyone has gotten a key yet... still waiting on mine hoping I get one. Now would be a good time since I'm wrapping up GOTG (which is amazing BTW!) and will have nothing on my plate so would love to sink my teeth into this one.
fingers crossed
Email just came through. Lands Between here we come!
@Elodin yeah i just got an email and I've been selected! Really looking forward to it.
@JB_Whiting Congrats! Then two of us here got the code. Not bad. Hope there'll be others too
I just got the selection email! Currently trying to swap shifts at work to maximize my beta time! Hopefully someone will grant me the grace 😅
@Tatarimokke @JB_Whiting @Lorcansface congratz all! Sadly I did not get the email. Please post impressions!
@Elodin yes sure will do!
@JB_Whiting Nice one, enjoy the game.
@lolwhatno I mean, I get what you are saying.
@Lorcansface Just say you've developed a sudden cough...they'll insist you stay home.
👍
@Skywalker1080p
I can vouch for his royal highness.
I gave him access to my bank account last week so he could deposit my winnings from the Uganda State Lottery.
It's weird, because I don't remember buying a ticket...but, still, he is a king so he definitely wouldn't lie.
@Tatarimokke got mine and almost didn't realize it XD
@TozVonicus Nice congratulations!
I didn't get accepted that sucks.
I signed up for the beta on the first day it was announced, and even checked when I got a confirmation email. I was pretty stoked, but apparently I was braindead when I signed up for the beta and somehow didn't do it??? There's no confirmation email either?!??
I am mad because I lost my chance and more so just confused
I missed out on getting a code so I will now watch some YouTube videos of it instead, if it's seems as hard as previous souls games then it's a pass from me unfortunately as the game looks great
I saw that people are selling their codes on ebay for up to £300! As much as I'm looking forward to jumping in, part of me wishes I went for the cash instead! (too late though, I punched the code into my PS5 immediately.)
Despite buying – but still not yet playing – Demon’s Souls, I’m really not a SoulsBorne guy, so I wasn’t really feeling Elden Ring. However, I happened to watch a YouTube impressions video by SkillUp this morning. Now I can’t wait for it to land in February!
@The_Pixel_King I'm surprised an impressions video swayed you; the Souls series really isn't something that can lull you in by watching other people play it. You have to dive head first in yourself; you'll soon discover if you love or hate it.
Also, you own the DS remake and have yet to taste its brilliance? What are you waiting for!
Hey guys I've just got my few hours playing Elden Ring and I must say it's going to be amazing. The atmosphere is just perfect. It's like Dark Souls but more than that. It's more fresh and more lively. And it seems it's going to be huge. I think I've already love this game. It's gonna be hard as hell so you need to level up ( you collect runes not souls here) , grind, farm but that's how it goes. I meet my first mini boss early but i had no chance against him. Maybe tomorrow...
Session 2 is tonight not Saturday.
@Tatarimokke the boss is easy if you can fight from distance. Use magic. Killed it in my second attempt.
@Integrity ok I'll try that. I tried with sword melee. Honestly I never tried magic in FromSoft games always preferred melee characters. Maybe Elden Ring will be the exception.
