Topic: PS5 external hdd stopped working

Hi everyone.

I suddenly recognized my PS5 stopped support of my external HDD (Adata 2TB) after latest PS5 firmware update. It just says something like "Something went wrong, format ext. hdd" when you try to format it it says something like "Couldn't format..." a few weeks back hdd worked normally.

Did you recognized similar issue after latest PS5 update?

@djlard - I have a generic external SSD for PS4 games and always get either a corrupt external storage error or format external storage after firmware updates. Shutting the PS5 down completely fixes it every time.

@Shigurui I've tried (on top of everything else) even unplugging AC so PS5 was forced to rebuild database, nothing helped.
