Romina, Saint of the Bud: How to Find It
Romina, Saint of the Bud is found inside the Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, with the main story taking you there after beating Messmer the Impaler. You'll follow the golden directions laid out by the Sites of Grace on the map and eventually find it.
Romina, Saint of the Bud: Boss Fight Strategy
Before even passing through the fog door and into the arena, there's one important aspect you can pick up on for the ensuing encounter: look around the outer walls. Romina, Saint of the Bud inflicts Scarlet Rot damage on you, so if you have any Talismans or Items that'll prevent its build-up, they'll come in handy for this battle.
Once you've passed through the fog door, it's revealed Romina, Saint of the Bud is some sort of human fused with a centipede, with a feminine body and lots of small centipede-esque legs. Wielding a sort of lance/spear, the boss scurries about the arena and builds up Scarlet Rot on you with every successful attack. Its general swings are surprisingly easy to telegraph, as she always takes a second to swing her arms back and then lunge at you. These can be easily dodged through, and form at least half of her entire move set. Three attacks generally come at once, and if you can get into the rhythm of their timings, you won't suffer any HP loss.
In the early right, she'll also jump into the air and use her legs to turn into a sort of boulder shape and roll around the arena, dealing damage if she hits you. Then, when the boss takes to the air, pink butterflies will surround her and deal damage when they explode. Try to find a patch of the arena where there aren't any to negate damage. The boss also swings its scorpion legs around, and lunges at you from both afar and above, telegraphed by a quick flash of light and a sound cue.
As for your own attacks, it's a good idea to call in your Mimic Tear Ashes and have them take the attention of the boss. This makes avoiding its attacks significantly easier as the boss generally only attacks what's in front of it rather than utilising AoE blasts. If you deal enough damage to stagger, she's open for a heavy blow to the front.
Of course, you've come to this page because you're likely having trouble beating Romina, Saint of the Bud, but what's surprising about this encounter is how considerably easier it is compared to, say Messmer the Impaler right before it. There's no second phase to worry about, no change in appearance to warrant a second health bar. Let the Mimic Tear Ashes take the boss' attention and you can go to town.
