Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Esoteric Secrets of the Elders Walkthrough

Esoteric Secrets of the Elders can be claimed off the Community Noticeboard in the Nibel Region. It doesn't have a level recommendation.

The Choboco Sage's Request

It's time for some more Chocobo action, so head to the Chocobo Sage's Manor where you'll bump into Billy once again. You're tasked with finding Selena and capturing her.

Capture Selena

Like the Chocobos from other Regions, you'll need to capture Selena to make her your own for the Nibel Region. She's just south-east of the Airstrip. Instead of you making it to her, you need to perch yourself on top of the cliff and throw the bait down on the ground so you can help Selena navigate through the course set out. This is a very tedious and frustrating activity, so have fun! When Selena finally makes it to the long grass on your side, sneak up on her and capture her.

Report to the Chocobo Sage

Head back to Chocobo Sage's Manor to get your next task.

Deliver Chocograss

You now need to find 30 tufts of Chocograss for the sage. You can find them floating above the bodies of water all throughout the Nibel Region. Using the Chocojet, fly up into the air and collect 30 of them by simply touching them. Head back to the sage once you have enough.

Complete the Final Trial

For the last step, you must beat the sage in a Chocobo Race. Do so and the Side Quest is complete.
