How Do You Beat Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Description
Dappled brute wyverns that prowl Oilwell Basin. They use their tails to inject gas into the ground and detonate it, then feed on the small creatures that are unearthed. The toxic gas they spray from their tongues serve to weaken prey, which they then finish off with the blasts. Rompopolo are extremely territorial and will readily engage their own kind.

Here are a few pointers on how to defeat a Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds.

  • When it injects its tail into the ground, be ready to dodge, as a blast will come up underneath where you're standing. A similar attack will encircle it in these blasts, forcing you to back off.
  • You also want to be wary of Rompopolo's poison breath attacks; be prepared by bringing items that can quickly cure poison for this fight.
  • It has breakable parts all over its body, and its tongue is a weak spot, so prioritise its mouth but breaking its various parts will help reduce the danger.
