We're truly headed towards the business end of the year now, and if this current list of upcoming PS5 games is anything to go by, we're in for a real treat.

As always, we've been busy putting together a list of some particularly noteworthy physical releases headed to PS5 over the next few weeks, as well as a larger selection of games that could well be worth a look too. Astro Bot - 6th September

An all-new Astro Bot game has us tremendously excited, and there really isn't long to wait – the game launches on PS5 on 6th September. Also, all physical copies come with an added poster as a bonus – make sure you grab a copy below!

The PS5 mothership has been wrecked, leaving ASTRO and the bot crew scattered all over the galaxies. Time to ride your trusty Dual Speeder across more than 50 planets full of fun, danger and surprises. On your journey, make the most of ASTRO’s new powers and reunite with many iconic heroes from the PlayStation universe!

NBA 2K25 - 6th September

It's a pretty great month for sports fans, with NBA 2K25 kicking off PS5's September sporting efforts on 6th September:

Experience your favorite NBA players’ signature moves and fine-tune your skills to deliver career-defining plays in dramatic fashion. Bring your game to life with ProPLAY on PS5, immersive technology that directly translates NBA footage into engaging gameplay. Get up close and personal with your favorite NBA superstars and immerse yourself in the most authentic NBA experience to date.

EA Sports FC 25 - 27th September

It continues with EA Sports FC 25, which will once again build upon last year's release to offer "more tactical control than ever before":

Get your team playing like the world’s best with FC IQ. An overhaul of tactical foundations across the game delivers greater strategic control and more realistic collective movement at the team level, while a new AI model, powered by real-world data, influences player tactics through all-new Player Roles.

New additions to Manager and Player Career let you live out the biggest storylines from the real-world game with Live Start Points; rewrite the stories of past ICONs with today’s teams in Player Career; and for the first time, play an authentic Women’s Career experience, taking control of a club or player from the top five women’s leagues.

Silent Hill 2 - 8th October

A remake of 2001’s Silent Hill 2 – often thought of as the best of the series – comes to PS5 with all-new cutting-edge graphics on 8th October:

Take on the role of James Sunderland and venture into the mostly deserted town of Silent Hill in this highly anticipated remake of the 2001 classic. Drawn to this mysterious place by a letter from his wife, who died three years previously, James searches the town for any trace of his wife.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - 25th October

A cinematic single-player campaign, a "best-in-class" multiplayer experience, and the return of Round-Based Zombies await in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6:

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterised by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops...

Sonic X Shadow Generations - 25th October

An all-new collection combining 'classic' and 'modern' Sonic series gameplay arrives on PS5 on 25th October:

Play as Shadow the Hedgehog in an all-new campaign featuring never-before-seen powers and abilities. Fans will enjoy this standalone adventure that shines a fresh light on his dark past.

Sonic X Shadow Generations also includes a complete remaster of the classic hit Sonic Generations, featuring newly remastered versions of iconic 2D and 3D stages with upgraded visuals and bonus content.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard - 31st October

Rally the Veilguard and defy the gods in the latest Dragon Age single-player RPG:

When a pair of corrupt ancient gods break free from centuries of darkness, the vibrant land of Thedas needs someone they can count on. Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight back and lead your team of seven companions, each with their own rich story. Together you will become The Veilguard.
