February was a wild month for PS5 with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, but it doesn't get any quieter in March and April.
The big new releases include co-op game Split Fiction, open world epic Assassin's Creed Shadows, and promising RPG debut Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. But honestly, there are a dozen other titles we could have highlighted here, such is the strength of the release calendar this year.
Let’s get straight into the highlights.

Split Fiction - 6th March
Josef Fares and his Hazelight team return to PS5 with another outrageously varied co-op adventure, this time spanning the worlds of fantasy and sci-fi. One of the big highlighs here is you'll only need to own one copy to play with friends!
From the inventive minds behind the award-winning It Takes Two comes an original and completely unpredictable new co-op action adventure.
In Split Fiction, you and your co-op partner will become Mio and Zoe, two writers trapped in a simulation of their own imaginations after a high-tech attempt to steal their creative ideas goes badly wrong. This pair of strangers will need to learn to work together in order to escape with their memories and stories intact. Prepare to deal with dragons and trolls in Zoe's fantasy worlds and cyber ninjas and robo-parking attendants in Mio's sci-fi creations.
Together, you'll need to overcome any obstacle thrown your way to make it through this weird, wild and wholly unexpected tale of friendship.
MLB The Show 25 - 18th March
Sony's annual baseball sim rarely gets much recognition, but is always a big-seller year after year. This edition is adding some new gameplay wrinkles, an expanded Road to the Show, and even more activities to Diamond Dynasty.
Forge your baseball journey.
Ignite your passion and build your path to greatness, from high school right to the Hall of Fame. Take on returning fan-favourite modes, updated with new ways to play, and connect with iconic baseball stars .
Built by baseball fans, for baseball fans, MLB The Show 25 features an extensive suite of gameplay improvements and quality of life enhancements that make it the most comprehensive Major League Baseball title to date.
Assassin's Creed Shadows - 20th March
After multiple delays, Assassin's Creed Shadows will finally parkour to PS5 in March. Featuring two contrasting protagonists and another enormous open world to explore, this one could keep you occupied all year long.
Become a lethal shinobi Assassin and a powerful legendary samurai as you explore a beautiful open world in a time of chaos.
Switch seamlessly between two unlikely allies as you discover their common destiny.
Master complementary playstyles, create your shinobi league, customise your hideout, and usher in a new era for Japan.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - 24th April
Ignore the annoying name: this RPG from French developer Sandfall Interactive looks like one to watch. With impressive production values and a classic Final Fantasy flavour, we're tipping this to be something of a sleeper hit.
Once a year, the Paintress wakes and paints upon her monolith. Paints her cursed number. And everyone of that age turns to smoke and fades away. Year by year, that number ticks down and more of us are erased. Tomorrow she’ll wake and paint “33.” And tomorrow we depart on our final mission - Destroy the Paintress, so she can never paint death again. We are Expedition 33. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a ground-breaking turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics, making battles more immersive and addictive than ever. Explore a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France in which you battle devastating enemies.

I guess I'm the only one excited for AI Limit.
Not a lot of interesting stuff releasing for a while but I will definitely buy The First Berserker: Khazan and most likely the new Fatal Fury game.
Split Fiction and Assassin’s Creed Shadows look interesting.
Im keen for the psvr2 version of Hitman in vr. Fingers crossed they nail this versions as i think it has so much more potential if they get it right.
Stoked for Split Fiction. A Way Out was fantastic. And It Takes Two was even better. Hazelight is one of the best devs right now, they continue to get better, and they're the only ones trying to do genuinely new and unique things with co-op games.
Only assassins creed and xenoblade chronicles x on switch this month for me.
Omg, didn't realise Expedition 33 was out already so soon!! I've preordered Assassins creed, but hope E33 reviews well 🙏
Atomfall is the main one for me this month but also intrigued by Sociable Soccer & Shotgun King (I like chess 🤷♂️).
I don't want to be disrespectful to the devs but is The Crown of Wu not just a physical version of e-slop?
Split fiction and Expedition 33 for me. There is Xenoblade x as well over on switch, but I think I'll wait on that one. Something tells me a better version will be available on the newer switch.
Expedition 33 looks incredible and is easily one of my most anticipated games of this year.
I’ll most likely pick up AC Shadows at some point
Hope Clair Obscur turns out to be good, thinking about preordering for the 10% discount, but it runs until release so makes sense to wait for reviews I guess
I will be getting day one: Atelier Yumia and Bleach Rebirth. Maybe Ai limit once reviews come out for that one
@Enuo I played the Demo. It seemed like your average souls like. But I’m going to see what reviews are like first
I'm pretty confident that Atelier Yumia will be my GOTY.
@PrincessPeach11 I was thinking the same, there’s a 20% discount on Amazon at the moment in the uk…
I’ve already preordered Shadows. Clair Obscur and Atomfall are on Gamepass, and I’m basically keeping my sub to try one game or more a month.
I’m planning on getting Split Fiction as long as it doesn’t crash and burn in the reviews.
@Dodoo If i had a disc drive then id probably bite, I have a premium console you see
Mammoth month? 🤔
Just AC for me, but i'll get that in 1-2 months after its discounted.
Definitely looking forward to playing Split Fiction with my daughter, and will be picking up the First Bezerker. Loving the demo so far, it's scratching that Wukong itch.
Clair Obscure, Atomfall, Khazan, Revenge of Savage Planet... there are some interesting titles coming for sure.
With my backlog I likely won't be playing any of them for a few years, but its something to look forward to!
@PrincessPeach11 ah same, I was lucky enough to find a drive!
Assassin creed shadows and Clair obscur expedition 33 for the win.word up son
"Ignore the annoying name:"
at least somebody else but me said this. Such an awful name.
Atelier Yumia out 21st march not 31st
Already paid for new assassins creed and suikoden 1&2 remaster as I missed out on suikoden growing up as I was a teenager when it first came out. Probably get atelier yumia. Mebe pick up atomfall in april along with obscure 33
