During Sony's GamesCom 2012 press conference earlier today, Japan Studio announced two new titles: Rain and Puppeteer.
Rain is a gorgeous PSN exclusive puzzle platformer, which centres on "an invisible world revealed by Rain". The trailer features a young boy, who becomes invisible when trying to save a little girl. Yet when it rains, the silhouette of the boy is revealed to the player, as well as the enemies who will try to stop him from reaching his goal.
Puppeteer, on the other hand, is a side-scroller, which surrounds a "theatre of the strange and fantastic". It is about a boy who is taken captive by a tyrant and carried away to his castle, where he is turned into a puppet. He must use his pair of magic scissors to change the environment and defend himself against the many enemies that stand in his way. Sony aims to "awaken the imagination of all children" with Puppeteer, so let's hope it achieves its aims.
You can catch the trailer for Puppeteer below.

Puppeteer looks amazing. Can't wait to try that out.
Not sure about Puppeteer. Scissors might be fun, but the story/characters don't seem too compelling for me.
Rain on the other hand! Wow! That looks great. Found the trailer on youtube (PC). Are you folks gonna post the trailer soon?
Looks like GamesCom has only Rain and Tearaway for me.
Puppeteer looks amazing! Best in show in my opinion.
Of course they use Clair de Lune on the Rain trailer, because there aren't any other impressionistic piano pieces that would be more fitting! Especially not ones that actually have something to do with water! No sir!
Just stick with the overplayed stuff, then you'll be safe. Good job Sony.
Rain looks interesting, but come on, a little more creativity on the writing department wouldn't hurt would it? Did the trailer really need obvious, didactic phrases like "The boy's figure can only be seen in the rain", or "a story of an invisible world revealed by the rain". No Sherlock, I could never understand this if you haven't told me.
Puppeteer looks incredible, cant wait!
OOOh yea the puppeteer is something i would pay for. Just wow.
