Living up to its namesake with perfect precision, a demo for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time has sneaked onto the North American PlayStation Store. It’s actually been there for much of the week, but in true ninja fashion, we’ve only just spotted it. You’ll need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to download the sampler, though we’re informed that it will be available to everyone on 29th January.
The teaser focuses on the title’s opening Paris level, which is more of a tutorial than anything else. Still, it should give you a feel for the budget platformer, which is due out on 5th February in North America on PlayStation 3 and Vita. European crooks will need to wait until 27th March to nab the exclusive.

@Savino What don't you like about it?
My PS+ account expired about 2 weeks ago so you can all thank me for the early demo and the 13 for 13 sale.
And my apologies to the UK as I just signed up for a free month of PS+ so don't expect any good announcements this week. March will probably be fantastic though.
@Savino The later levels open out into mini-sandboxes with plenty of exploration — this is just the tutorial. As for the characters, I personally love them. But then, I've been a fan of the series from the start.
Having played the Sly collection i have no doubt that the levels will open up and be less ' linear ' though i think that term is over used. As for the appeal of the characters thats subjective i think. I love them all. But i personally dont see the ' charm ' in most of nintendo's characters, seems way to childish for me. My friend who grew up playing mario thinks im crazy. So it really is dependant on your personal prefferences.
Haven't played the demo yet but I did check out the 5 minute animated teaser they released, it was pretty enjoyable.
Just played the demo. It was...good, though the jury is out on whether or not the game will be as great as its predecessors (especially Sly 2). I found the camera control just a tad off (not at all game-breaking though) and controlling all 3 characters (Sly, Bentley, and Murray) in the opening level almost felt a little like overkill to me. I don't find Murray all that fun to control. But I'm going to keep an open mind. It definitely seems like a real love-letter to the series. High production values are definitely still present, and there were some funny moments in the demo.
