The narrative surrounding Moby Dick Studio’s mysterious The Phantom Pain is more complicated than the plot of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The title was announced late last year during the Spike VGAs, but was promptly blown wide open. Eagle-eyed online users noticed that the forename of the Swedish studio’s CEO ‘Joakim Mogren’ was actually an anagram for 'Kojima'. Furthermore, the game’s debut trailer was packed with Metal Gear references, including a sneaky hint at Metal Gear Solid 5.
It’s been a while since we last heard anything about the secretive title, but that’s set to change in emphatic fashion during an episode of GTTV later tonight. Host Geoff Keighley tweeted earlier in the week that he was “off to interview" the aforementioned CEO. The footage will be aired this evening.
Keighley added that the executive has “something new to show”. Interestingly, Kojima tweeted later that same day that he was working on a new trailer. Could the two be connected? We’d be surprised if they weren’t. Hopefully tonight’s interview will answer a few questions – but knowing Kojima, it will probably raise more than it solves.

Yesssss! I'm still in shock that MGS4 wasn't the last game like they said it'd be. Pretty exciting stuff
vita needs metal gear...
If he turns out to just be Kojima in a wig I'll flip out.
