The original Fatal Frame is set to snap the North American PlayStation Network this week, according to the PlayStation Blogcast. The title will launch as a PS2 Classic, so don’t expect any fancy visual upgrades. Still, despite the dated graphics, we’re sure that the release will manage to scare you absolutely rotten.
For those out of the loop, the title puts you in control of Miku, a young girl capable of seeing spirits. When her brother – who possesses the same powers – goes missing, she tracks him down in a derelict mansion, and, well, you can guess where this is heading, can’t you? The real twist is that the protagonist must use her mother’s camera to capture any poltergeists on film, while simultaneously searching for her sibling.
There’s no word on pricing just yet, but we’d be surprised if it set you back more than $9.99. Keep your lens focused on the PlayStation Blog over the coming days for more details.

Surprised this is happening considering Nintendo now own the franchise! Great game though.
@rastamadeus I doubt we'll see it in Europe. But, yeah, there must have been some kind of legal loophole.
Wonder if it had a 60Hz mode in Europe...
I played the first two on the Xbox and the remake of the 2nd on the Wii.
Hope they all come to Europe PSN, so I can finally get to play the third game (I never had a PS2).
I read somewhere that Nintendo only owns the franchise in Japan, while it's still third party in the rest of the world.
I like getting things in physical format, but I might not be to resist getting this for $10 cheaper and really easily. So all and all this is pretty awesome. I will just have to clear out my backlog first.
@Jaz007 Just to clarify, that's my speculation on the price!
I am guessing this is not for the Vita.
Never heard of this one but it looks pretty cool.
