Sony may have wooed the likes of Jonathan Blow with its aggressive indie initiative, but it’s still yet to tempt the don of the underground development scene. Minecraft creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has yet to announce anything for the various PlayStation platforms – but that’s not stopped the company from resorting to enticement to get the Swedish developer on board.
In addition to a VIP invitation to a special E3 event, the platform holder has sent the luminary the golden PSone pictured above. The company also awarded the legend with an original copy of Dungeon Master 2. “They sure know how to bribe nerds,” Persson pointed out on his personal Twitter account.
The PlayStation maker’s been targeting indie developers hard over the past couple of years, but it’s still yet to secure Minecraft on its machine. Earlier in the year, a Mojang representative hinted that a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita port is something that the studio’s looking into, but it’s yet to officially confirm either version.

I wish someone would bribe me like that
Best bribe EVER.
Smooth, smooth move Sony. They know how to become better friends with people don't they, awesome gift.
If i recall correctly, didn't sony reject MC before XBLA release?
@Placlu I haven't heard that. I was always under the impression that Microsoft had stumped up for timed exclusivity. I can't imagine why Sony would turn it down — especially given their attitude of late.
He should make Minecraft for the PS3. Dump Microsoft.
@Placlu Where's your source? I find that one hard to believe.
i need Minecraft for vita
@BrianC6234 @get2sammyb I just remember on Twitter now over a year ago, before MS snatched it up, the pitched it to sony for possible exclusivity and obviously didn't go through. Prob remembering it incorrectly. Maybe Notch said no to sony, like he did with Steam. Valve & Notch couldn't come to an agreement on Notch's vision and Valves distribution policies or something.
