PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD, an updated port of one of the strongest titles in the PlayStation 3’s digital collection, is set to dance onto the PlayStation Vita this summer. The fruit of a recently revealed publishing partnership between LittleBigPlanet PS Vita developer Double Eleven and Kyoto-based creator Q-Games, the re-release is set to taste extra sweet on Sony’s slick handheld system due to its re-mastered visuals, touch controls, and Trophies.
For those unfamiliar with the original, the tower defence title sees you strutting through increasingly complex environments as a masked protagonist named Tikiman, collecting coins, and investing your cash into constructing and upgrading devastating strongholds. You’ll need more than a couple of cannonballs to deal with this game’s nasty spider infestation.
The re-release is due out this summer, and will maintain the same system stomping difficulty as its PS3 counterpart. It will include all of the content from the console version and its Encore expansion, in addition to the extra towers, enemies, and levels from the PlayStation Portable iteration, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe. day 1 for me
Sounds cool. I earned ALL the Trophies on the PS3 version, so I'm up to the challenge.
@stuffgamer very impressive! I love the difficulty of this game. I will definitely be buying it. With this and fieldrunners 2, tower defense fans have a lot to look forward too. (I hope there's a very difficult platinum trophy)
Please release this for PS3! Or if not, then PJ:Monsters 2
