Bungie has promised to release a brand new trailer for its upcoming shoot-and-loot outing Destiny – but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow in order to watch it in full. To make up for the miniscule delay, the former Halo developer has deployed the first-person shooter’s official box art, which shows the title’s three main classes peering fondly at a planet in the distance.
We honestly preferred the placeholder art, which eschewed the grunts with guns angle. Still, the character designs are awesome – even if the rear of the most prominent figure’s helmet looks exactly like Master Chief. We’re sure that that’s just a coincidence, though. What do you think of the new cover? Fire your thoughts in the comments section below.

I was disappointed by the boxart, I've seen better pictures from Destiny they could use. Doesn't make it a bad game, surely gonna buy it
@B4SDR4G I quite like it - but it definitely smacks of, "QUICK, PUT SOMEONE WITH GUNS ON THE COVER OR NO ONE WILL BUY THE GAME!"
EDIT: I'm honestly surprised there's no 'From the makers of Halo' quote written above the title, too.
So many games, I really don't know what game i want to play first on the PS4 when i get my hands on it. :/ Some times it sucks being a gamer. Haha.
@get2sammyb Haha, I guess Microsoft is gonna complain if they do that
I think it's pretty cool boxart and I definitely can't wait for this game to come out. I'd say right now it's no. 2 on my list of most-wanted next-gen games after inFamous: Second Son.
@B4SDR4G
Eventhough the PlayStation version has some timed exclusive content, the game is still going to be on Xbox One and 360 as well so I doubt MS would too upset if Bungie put 'from the makers of Halo' on there. Bungie has clearly tried to cut ties with that franchise though and I think it's relying on its name alone to help sell Destiny, which probably will happen. It's not like this is a small upstart studio, the audience this game is for knows Bungie's history.
I like it, it certainly has that monumental feel that the game's going for. But yeah, guys with guns again.
@Gamer83 I heard that the content would be exclusive to PlayStation, not timed.
@Lelouch
Well, that would change things, though it shouldn't since the game is still going to be on Xbox consoles and MS is the main reason this whole buying of exclusive content (timed or not) exists in the first place.
@Lelouch I think it may be timed. Sony's been cunningly unclear about it all. I suspect it will be similar to the Call of Duty deal that Microsoft's got, though. Probably exclusive content for a month.
I think the bigger deal for Sony — if the game takes off — is that it's being advertised as a PlayStation game. It's a pretty prominent part of the platform holder's marketing at the minute, so that could end up being advantageous if the game is a success.
This guy's back looks like Master Chief's front from last Halo trailer with desert and gigant enemy ship. OMG!!!
Could change, still a year from release. But I think it looks good.
