Evolution Studios has put its foot down on speculation that PlayStation 4 exclusive racer DriveClub won’t feature weather effects, as it’s released a batch of screenshots showing a selection of super cars being lashed by some luscious next-gen rain. While we already knew that the forthcoming speed-a-thon would boast various different tiers of cloud cover, the British-based developer has now officially revealed that storms and snow are in.
“We've just confirmed that DriveClub will have dynamic rain and snow, which will affect car handling,” beamed game director Paul Rustchynsky on Twitter. “Plus, it looks amazing.” There’s no word on whether the title will boast full-on electric downpours yet, but given the love and care evidenced elsewhere in the package, it certainly seems feasible. Either way, you may want to make sure that you get your virtual motor’s window wipers checked.

Not big on rain to be fair, dust and what not yes. I suppose it mixes it up
Don't underestimate the power of weather effects, no really. Before rivals came out I thought do I need another NFS game, got it anyway and it was the weather effects that set rivals apart from other NFS games for me. I love the day/night cycles and weather effects it adds to the overall game, looking forwards to DriveClub.
I think I am going to hold on for the crew, this does look nice though
Why wasn't this at the press conference?
@ThreadShadow You took the words right out of my mouth. Why didn't they showcase this?
Wow those visuals though?!?!!?!!! Just shows that's they're not holding back on this...
every time I see something about this game recently I get hyped even more. The delay was the best thing that could have happened to it. Can't wait.
