Bungie sees Destiny as a long-term project, so the game that you’re playing today is unlikely to stay the same in perpetuity. That means that you can probably expect a wealth of patches and updates to be released over the coming months, with the latest Hot Fix bringing some improvements to Public Events. According to the developer’s website, these social shoot outs will now occur twice as frequently, giving you more opportunity to earn that top rating Trophy.
Other tweaks include improvements to network stability and some code changes to prevent game crashes. “Not every update that you apply to Destiny will contain revolutionary changes to the player experience,” a studio spokesperson wrote. “As we support the world beyond launch, much of what we do will be dedicated to ensuring that the services that support the game are stable.”

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm more excited about what this game will be I'm a year's time than what it is now.
Judging by their ideas, this is only going to improve.
@BenTarrant How much more money will they make you spend before then, though?
@get2sammyb I am sincerely hoping it doesn't get the inevitable Activision onslaught of pricey DLC. £35 for the season pass hurt enough.
Bungie should release a ton of free updates, first, for Destiny to further the experience before the ones that will obviously cost us to play.
Hmmm I am still waiting for my Destiny (b-day gift) and there's already so much gone :/
@get2sammyb I am slightly annoyed that two DLC's were available at launch. It seems crazy that these are available at launch and are ready to be played, yet we are made to pay for them
A good first step in the right direction. Public Events were far too uncommon when the game launched, and without them, patrol can get very familiar.
@InsaneMikeB Wait, what? Sorry if I misunderstood you, but if you mean DLC has already been released for Destiny, that's not true.

@InsaneMikeB The DLC it is not available to play yet. Yes, you can buy it now but it is more of a preorder. Also the expansions are going to be more than just map packs.
@InsaneMikeB What PMasterTy9 said, the Expansion Pass is similar to a Season Pass which most games have available on release these days. It doesn't mean the DLC has been released.
More public events is good, sometimes they seem a bit too spread out. Loving the game very much though, I was expecting averageness. Tom Clancy's the division has a lot to live up to.
I love the game so far but have one gripe.
The fact you can get green gear from purple engrams.
As it stands it can take days to get a drop only to have it turn into a crap green item making the whole process feel like a waste of time.
Hasnt stopped me playing but it isnt half annoying to have 70+ percent of your blues and purples turn green.
On topic: This is brill. The events were spread out, but the mad rush to get involved is awesome, so more frequent is more stuff!
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya true that. I NEVER got a green from a green engram and never got a blue from a blue engram. It makes them worthless piece of loot and the source of many frustrations as the loot system is, in my opinion, broken.
It needs to be a carrot on a stick and not a frustrating lottery, especially when other players online are geared in Exotic and Lege dary gear from head to toe a week in the game....
@InsaneMikeB hi Mike this is what u get with the special addition
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya @KillTheG1mp I nearly always got the same colour, only recall once I got green for blue, I dumped lots of blue early on as I wasn't keen on the gun and or stats, oh well. If only I'd known.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya i totally agree.... i am very bored now to collect blue engrams and some purple ones which actually almost always turn to green.... it is frustrating andit is only a push towards a) dropping the game; b) go on repetitive farming methods....
Also ifind crazy that u finish the story and as price you receive something which is 90% times worst than what you already have....
It is already frustrati g enough that you can re eive object not usable for your class.... this downgrade of the engrams is pretty irritating....
@Bad-MuthaAdebis Ive finally got two drops of legendary, one from blue that went purple and one from a purple engram.
That has been since the latest patch so could be tweaked a bit?
Ive had 5-6 purple prior and all bar one turned green unfortunately.
Though since getting vanguard level 2 Ive kind of just stopped trying and will buy what I can when I can, and see what I get in the meantime.
@RawWilson1 I fully agree with this! I think the small of amount of launch content should be supplemented with some free DLC. I wouldn't mind paying for some huge updates months from now though
@wittypixel Yeah I'm with you on that, although I got the expansion pass with the game, it'd be nice to get some small stuff until then.
I'd gladly pay for more later on down the line.
Destiny was a real letdown in my opinion. Had to force myself to finish it. I guess it was just over hyped though. Its not a bad game but its not a genre defining game either as Bungie claimed it to be. I do hope it gets better over time. For now it'll get me some good trade value.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Might be worth mentioning that your cryptarch's level can affect how good your engrams turn out to be. The higher his level, the better chance of getting something good.
Or at least, that's supposedly how it works.
Still haven't encountered a public event since the beta :/ wonder what's wrong?
@ShogunRok I think the guy is 5, maybe 6.
I do get more blue from blue, but the drop chance is too random.
At least it seems so.
I can 10 straight strikes or missions and still only get 3-4 drops total, but the quality has increased a bit.
