Sony has delayed PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne by a month, presumably to avoid a showdown with fellow first-party title The Order: 1886 in February. The dreary release will now deploy on 24th March in North America and 27th March in Europe. That should give you enough time to mentally prepare yourself for the horrors that linger within.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa attributed the delay to recent beta feedback. “We would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience,” he said. “We were gratified by the feedback and data that we received from those who participated in our limited alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings.”
Staying out of the way of Ready at Dawn’s historical escapade and being able to improve the final product looks like a win-win all around as far as we’re concerned. Sure, it’s disappointing that you’re going to have to wait an extra month or so to play this – but we’re sure that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will keep you occupied in the interim.

This is good news for my wallet. xD
I think Witcher 3 is a better reason to delay the game, the order is in less direct competition I would say.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis I don't know - possibly. Two gothic, historical, Victorian-inspired PS4 exclusive games, though... For the average person, I could see them getting a teensy bit confused.
Fine by me. Take all the time you need. Im pretty sure my body isn't even ready yet anyway.
Ehhhh.... For me it would have been better the other way round, i have almost 0 interest on the order while bloodborne is one of the reason that pushed me to buy my black monolith.... anyway....i guess in march I will barely finish dragonage 3 so... it s ok
@get2sammyb I suppose the setting is fairly similar and the probably very linear story puts them in same boat too, the order seems so far to be very cinematic and story orientated as well as very shooty, bloodborne obviously is another souls game. I'll be buying blood borne anyway, the order I'll probably rent based on what I've seen so far.
DelayStation 4
Im surprised they didnt delay it 2 months, 4 weeks is still kinda close if they intend to market both titles. Delays are annoying, there's no 2 ways about it. But 1 month isbt all that bad. Its not like Watch dogs or Driveclube or even Arkham Knight.
There ought to be a website or article that catalogs all the delays in the history of video games! I wonder what the percentage is that actually get released on time.
@ShogunRok
Its for the best.
I never assume a game will hit its stated release date these days...saves disappointment.
One of the two games was always going to get delayed it's just too bad it's not The Order which seems to be on track to be quite mediocre.
@Gamer83 Based off one brief demo that's over six months old. I'd wait till PS experience first.
@adf86
I just go by what's been shown and so far what I've seen seems pretty damn bad. If it turns out that the game is actually good though, great. This isn't exactly Naughty Dog or Sucker Punch though.
Im still waiting for Greatness Sony... this is getting ridicolous
And yes The Order looks... bland as hell
@Faruko
It really is. People can excuse this as 'first year blues' all they want. Fact is, even PS3 in terms of exclusives wasn't this putrid and while maybe exclusives don't matter in terms of sales they certainly matter in helping to give a console its identity. The few exclusives that did release over the last year, with the exception of inFamous: Second Son, either sucked a$$ or disappointed and that problem gets compounded by third parties like Ubiscum being completely useless. Hopefully LBP 3 is good to at least end the year on a decent note and hopefully 2015 will be much better. The Order won't be the one to kick things off with a bang though.
@Gamer83 Exactly, this is the complete opposite of the last generation, Sony was getting crushed and they were forced to do something, exclusives, price drops, ps+, etc...
now its the other way around and Microsoft its the one doing all the stuff, Sony its just... there
@Faruko
What's disappointing is PS2 was the major player during its time and almost immediately it was getting killer games, exclusives, multiplats whatever, if it was good it was on PS2 and most importantly the games worked out of the case. What has gone on this year, mediocre, broke a$$ garbage after mediocre, broke a$$ garbage is just ridiculous. And it's not just PS4, MS screwed the pooch as well.
