Sony will be commemorating the launch of the PlayStation 4 in China with a pretty nifty paintjob. Kotaku reports that consumers will be able to opt for a Special Dragon Edition of the next-gen system from 11th January in the region, which includes a custom hard drive faceplate featuring, well, a dragon and the brand’s iconic symbol buttons. It’ll retail for 2,899 RMB ($469), the same price as the standard Jet Black and Glacier White units in the territory.
Of course, these will be limited edition, so you’ll need to act fast if you want to get one. Don’t worry if you’re plumping up for the Vita, as that will come with a pouch boasting the same design for 1,299 RMB ($209). We know that the Japanese giant needs to go the extra mile to woo the nation, but we’re a little bit peeved that we didn’t get a roaring dragon on our launch devices. What do you think of this commemorative console? Let us know down below.

Im surprised they didnt launch w/ a picture of those 4 women can-can style on the PS4.
Cue the can-can music boys
Sammy it was good to put the name of Vita on the topic too.
took me a min to find the dragon i was distracted! But yeah very cool dragon.
Best looking alternate face plate so far.
Looks very nice! If I was Chinese in the market for a PS4 I'd get one for sure...
Screw the PS4, I want that pouch.
A roaring lion would have been cool as a special edition here in England...the dragon is very cool.
The leaked lineup seems more er "committed" than MS's lineup.
Aww what!? How come the US never gets any stereotypically designed PS4s
I just wont to know what games it is launching with. Its success will come down to content. It will be interesting to which games the Chinese audience is interested in. Similar to Japan or more western in that. I would expect somewhere in the middle, but I might be wrong.
