Messages on the PlayStation 4 have gotten faster of late, but they're still not as immediate as they should be. Fortunately, platform holder Sony has announced some cross-platform maintenance on the PlayStation Network's communications module, which will run – in the UK at least – from 05:00AM BST until 08:00AM BST on Wednesday, 22nd April.
What does this mean? Well, that you won't be able to send, receive, delete, or dabble with messages during the aforementioned period. This will apply across all three major PlayStation formats, as well as the PlayStation Mobile app. Of course, before you get your Calvin Klein's in a twist, know that online play will be not be affected during the time-out. Bonza!

I'm glad they're doing some maintenance on this.
'Bout time!
@rockman29 I have never understood that either. It should already be instantaneous. Every message sent is always 6 minutes ago - what's that all about???
Are they making a little chatpad for the PS4 yet?
Hopefully they fix the timestamps with the maintenance. I'll send a message and then the initial timestamp marks it as having been sent 29 minutes ago... What????
