Oh boy! Sony has uploaded its official Holiday 2015 commercial for North America β and it's a real humdinger. Based, unsurprisingly, upon Star Wars Battlefront, this advertisement not only serves up some bad ass special effects β but it also bangs the nostalgia drum hard. Given that we're mere weeks away from being submerged into Star Wars fever, we reckon that this is going to really hit the spot.

I feel sorry for anyone who buys into the hype and ends up disappointed.
Love it ha ha!
@TromboneGamer Even if Star Wars sucks, though, the PS4 is already a great console, so there's little to be disappointed about really.
Love how it says "Not actual gameplay footage" and your like "Duh, really"???!!!
I hated the beta, but this commercial made me wanna buy this... GG nostalgia.
ace!
PlayStation wins Christmas. As it wins all things!
I think a lot of people will be happy with Battlefront, just because of the Star Wars universe. The beta was dull, but presumably there will be a lot more missions in the actual game, and enough variety in terms of scenery from the movies to keep fans happy. Plus it looks spectacular!
Greatness awaits. Is it bad that I'm over 3 weeks in and I'm still awaiting this greatness? It's yet to really grab me. I'm using it as a YouTube box while playing on the Wii U.
I have watched it 10 times already
@Volcanox
Besides some extremely short and dissapointing flirts with Sony exclusives it's been the same for me since PS4's launch. There've been countless of times that I booted up the console just to scroll through some of the games and ended up playing Resogun or Trials, or shutting it down all together. And although there are some excellent 3rd party multiplats out at this moment, they don't feel very "PlayStation" if that makes any sense at all.
With my Wii U, and to a lesser extent my One, I feel like the console has more of its own soul atm, with some exclusives where I never have to look down which controller it is I'm using again. The Wii U is a criminally under appreciated console with some of the best exclusives the world has ever seen from Nintendo, apart from the fact the world hasn't seen them for some reason. And the best part of the Wii U is how fast it is able to let me play a game; there's no needless scrolling in the menu and not knowing what to do because you just have 30 minutes to spare; you boot up MK8 and within 30 seconds the clock is counting down and you're racing.
But why am I here then, if my PS4 is such a dissapointment? Because somehow it isn't. I'm sure many of PS4 buyer will feel the same, although not many are comfortable admitting their $400 console is meh, but there's something with this PS4 that makes you believe there is more to come and that you're indeed on a path that will lead to the greatness that is promised will awaits. The PS4 has some mystical power over me, which I partly contribute to the design, where I want to be part of it because it feels beautiful things are about to happen anytime soon. It could be Morpheus which I'm really excited for, or the way the PS3 eventually got a God like status with PS+ and games like TLOU and we all expect the PS4 to do the same.
Even today with the games that are lined up for me I know I'll be spending most of my fall and winter on Forza, Halo and after that Xenoblade, but seeing a commercial like this makes me truly excited for the upcoming PS4 festive season. 3rd party offerings are almost immediately pre ordered or bought for PS4 and the succes of a game like Fallout4 (which I'll play later) SW: Battlefront, CoD and Destiny will mainly be attributed to Sony. Where the Wii U and the One are struggling with their reputation and have been really trying to win the gamer over by giving them killer games or services, the PS4 is getting credit for things they were smart enough to don't do.
@Boerewors This Greatness may be Ratchet and Clank but Sony doesn't seem too sure. Budget release man. I can see it. Sadly Sony is firing at a different demographic and while it's working it is also alienating to other fans.
I think this is the tipping point. Are we going to get more first party stuff, pushed like it should alongside other things and a wide range of genres, styles and demographics or is it going to be more of the same third party lifeboat with the only exclusive being overpriced DLC while they aim at what they think remains of gamers.
Time will tell, but I can feel the PS4 being an overall letdown for me. Considering the Wii U is a game drought first party beast and my main console, that is alarming. There isn't anything on PS for the rest of the year that interests me. I already ordered Xenoblade and a few other things to fill what remains of my huge stack of Wii U games shelf space.
You said it best. Why do the other two go ignored for their benefits and the PS4 get praised for its shortcomings?
I loved the beta put over 20 hours into it cant wait for star wars battle front
@Volcanox
Well, first of all you should always consider the 'cognitive dissonance theory' with purchases like these, and realize people will do everything in their power to justify their purchase. In this case there were millions of PS4s sold which even surprised Sony themselves, because it's hard to pinpoint why all these people jumped ship already instead of waiting for a good reason to buy it. Between the PS4 or One at launch the PS4 was the best option by far, unless your a Halo or Gears fan, but all things considered waiting for a real reason to buy it was of course the smarter thing to do for a rational consumer. Because people didn't wait and bought a console on a dream and promises alone, they'll have to justify this purchase on every way possible.
But I do believe the PS4 will start earning their succes, and in a way they already did. They took so many pages out of the 360s playbook and made it their own, that for people who aren't obsessed with exclusives, the PS4 has had some stellar games already. Like the 360 did before the PS4 they made 3rd party games "their own" and filled up the quiet times with indie games, which were back then called arcade games. Sony is so clever this gen and is letting EA, Ubi and Activision doing the heavy lifting for them while they make sure they'll have games ready "off-season"; people who think Uncharted wouldn't be ready this fall are most probably fooled by Sony because it just makes way more sense not to put it up against the likes of CoD, Fallout and BattleFront like f.i. Tomb Raider is. Now Sony has the biggest release of the first half of 2016 and they'll move consoles because of it and by teaming up with the earlier mentioned publishers they'll take full credits for CoD, Battlefront and Destiny as well.
But there is one thing left to learn from MS and that is how a first party game should be marketed! I hear your Ratchet and Clank concerns and I immediately know what you feel, because they'll probably screw up like that. With the movie coming out and the game looking this good, Ratchet could actually be a highly profitable IP again. If they market this game and movie MS style, they'll attract so many old Wii users that are now just "floating" around waiting for a reason to buy another console to play Skylanders and Disney Infinity on; Ratchet and Clank could very well be that reason! And PS is at a point in time where they can also bank on nostalgia. We see it with their 20th anniversary offerings, but I hope they realize Ratchet and Clank has the potential to win over tons of people who played it when they were younger or can relate to it because they played similar games.
Although Sony clearly has a winning strategy, they shouldn't get cocky. They should spend more money on marketing games of their own and not just focus on Uncharted and TLOU, because these games might be a trend at this point in time, but could be totally irrelevant in 4 years. Also they should realize there are still at least 120million people or households out there that HAVEN'T got a console yet, but are in the market if they right proposition comes by. Lots of these people have kids, or are kids, that would be extremely attracted by the likes of LBP, Tearaway and R&C and it's a shame not to emphasize that part of PlayStation too, although they seem to kinda know by marketing Disney Infinity.
kinda surprised some people didn't like the beta. Just curious what some people expected from battlefront?
@Volcanox @Boerewors I'm the opposite, I sold my Wii U because I was so disappointed. Mario Kart aside I feel there franchises have gone backwards and whilst still good are nowhere near the quality of previous entries. I've had much more fun with the likes of the Witcher, Metal Gear, certainly Rocket League and Until Dawn is one of the best exclusives I've played on any console
You can't deny that this is a pretty awesome ad. Battlefront will sell like hot cakes no matter how you slice it.
I didn't get the chance to play the beta but I can't wait to get stuck into the final game with friends. With the movie on the way too, Sony have been very clever to push Battlefront on PS4.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Care to elaborate? Or you're basing this entirely on the BETA?
I find the fact you can play it earlier on XBOX one with EA Access strange considering Sony are really pushing hard on this one. I've not seen any (I don't think...) XBOX ads for it, though EA Access on Twitter are pushing the whole play it first on EA Access thing.
Please Sony get on board with EA access... Give the consumer some choice.
@Cron_13 Sony's co-marketing it so you won't see any Xbox ads for it. I do agree with you on EA Access, though.
@get2sammyb yeah thought that must be the case, which makes it weird how much EA Access are pushing the game (though now you say that, i dont think they mention XBOX just mention EA Access itself).
I just can't see Sony going back on their whole 'doesn't offer value for money' stance which is a real shame.
@Volcanox @Boerewors I've loved my PS4 from day one... Can't say I've once felt short changed by my purchase. Okay maybe in the early days releases were a little few and far between but there has always been something of interest, and lately my back log has swelled, so.. very happy here. Best console since PS1, for me. Certainly the machine I hoped the PS3 would be.
I'm sure tons of people will enjoy this release, even if only for a blast over the Christmas period and a few weeks beyond like I did with Killzone SF. Not every online game has gotta have you addicted for 12 months at a time. Fair play to them.
@Volcanox @Boerewors Personally best console I've ever had. Since day one killzone, Infamous, destiny, dragon age, Wolfenstein, warriors orochi, final fantasy realm reborn, shadows of mordor, youtube, iplayer, bluray player, spotify have kept me busy! Backlog is crazy. I went through a craze of being addicted to iphone/android gaming... but last month realised how pointless and monotonous those games were - mobile gaming days are over for me, except a dash of clash of clans. Nope I'm loving the awesome scrumptious game worlds running on ps4 (best Β£350 spent ever) and can't wait for Battlefront star wars, Fallout 4 and Assassins creed syndicate. Hoping to get Last of Us this week as I missed out last gen. I even tried going nostalgia and revisited Castlevania IV on SNES emulator and starcraft on pc.... something was missing. Ancient clunky controls, pixelated graphics, mega simple mobs and bosses with one or two animations, ok still love retro synth music scores. Destiny Taken King has blown me away graphically and musically and control wise, and awesome strangers teaming in strikes... Thank God for PS4! Keeping me busy during these gloomy autumn winter nights !! Come on Star Wars!! You are only old if you think you are old!
@Volcanox @Boerewors exactly what @kyleforrester87 said. I picked up the console because I had a ps1,2,3 and I figured I may as well start accumulating free ps+ games. Also I wanted Contrast. At first I played lots of warframe (great game!) and ps+ games,but very quickly I've had more games to play than I can get through. And every one of them purchased at a huge discount, usually 50% off. I've completely stopped with any PC games despite steam prices because the ps is so packed with stuff (and more comfortable, better sound).
Does nothing at all for me
As usual whining about PS4 not having anything when it isn't much better on the other side. If you're not a fan of Nintendo games, and many people aren't, there is literally no reason to get a Wii U. And while I personally prefer Halo, Gears, Forza, Sunset Overdrive and Dead Rising to the likes of Killzone, Knack, DriveClub, Until Dawn or even Bloodborne I can at least admit when a game is quality and of the Xbox One and PS4 Bloodborne is easily the best exclusive. inFamous: Second Son and Until Dawn are both great games. It's not like there's nothing on PS4 but we've got some people who continue to cry that because the console doesn't cater to their needs, everybody else should feel the same. It's beyond stupid. I've said myself I'm surprised Xbox One isn't ahead, at least in North America but I also realize not every gamer is into the same stuff I am.
I also find it hilarious that MS is praised for its advertising, and Sony slammed for the same kind of push. MS' first party advertising is for games like Halo, Gears and Forza because that's all it has but aside from that, even if it had more kid-friendly games you're not going to push a cutesy platformer in a market dominated by shooters and more 'mature' themed titles. That's why Sony pushes Uncharted. Can hate the franchise all you want, it's also one an IP where every single main entry has sold over 4.8 million units. The best selling R&C's are Size Matters and the original both under four million. The original was on a console with a 150 million userbase. The Jak and Daxter games sold even worse. TLoU is at 5.5 mil on PS3, a bit over 3 mil on PS4. That's the market today, you advertise to the market. If it changes, you adjust your strategy.
@GlynCR
Does nothing for me either and I'm not even considering buying Battlefront but with the marketing blitz and Star Wars hype at a high due to the new movie I'll be shocked if this isn't one of the top 2 or 3 best selling games of the year.
Just preordered the ultimate edition or whatever. I'm confident I'll love the game
Waiting for reviews on this one.
@Gamer83 completely agree with you while the beta wasn't special it was really good not a huge SW guy personally but like you say with the movie coming up as well there's gonna be a ton of Star Wars adds on the to in the next 2 months, I think it'll be a top 5 game in terms of sales this year alongside the usual suspects
Great looking console but very dull game....beside I got my Star Wars tickets today Midnight showing!!!
@Boerewors You're doing that thing that I see people online doing quite often. You're really REALLY overestimating the significance of exclusives. I don't know if it stems from nerdy console wars arguments or what but it's something some people really harp on about online while most of the world doesn't care. The reason the Wii U sold so badly is because people care more about what they CAN'T play on a given device. Buy a Wii U and it won't allow you to play the vast majority of games that have come out in the past 3 years or so. Buy a PS4 or Xbox and it will. The same was true of the Wii, GC and N64 (to varying degrees).
People are going to value the ability to play multiplats like Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, SW Battlefront, FIFA and so on - and with the best graphics and online capabilities - than they are going to value being able to buy the 300th Mario game where you can jump on cartoon turtles AGAIN. "H-hey guys! I know you wasted money on that Wii thing before and it was only used 6 times by your girlfriend when she played Zumba Fitness, but we have this awesome game where you're a cartoon little girl and you paint the floor orange! W-where are you going, guys?" It doesn't matter if Splatoon is actually a lot of fun, it's not tempting to (a) people who felt the Wii was just a fad (i.e. most people that bought it looking at the poor sales of most games on it and its short lifespan compared to its "less successful" competitors) or to (b) people that want Fallout 4, Disgaea, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Blops, Ass Creed... Or to cut it short, just about every single game that is going to come out this gen. It's not cherry-picked exclusives, it's the combination of all the things that aren't on Xbox or Wii U.
Look at games like Zestiria and Dragon Quest Heroes - they're not exclusives technically. Both are also on PS3 and one is also on PC. Yet your Wii or Xbone can't play them. Persona 5 isn't an exclusive, nor is Dragon Quest XI. But your Wii or Xbone can't play them. Final Fantasy XV, on Xbone and PS4 but your Wii U can't play it. The list goes on and on. You're getting a large amount of coverage with PS4, decent but lacking with Xbone and practically no coverage at all with Wii U. Is the fact that it's the only place you can play Yoshi's Wooly World really going to tempt the average adult at all? So someone buying a Wii U had really better enjoy making a cartoon man jump on turtles in his (no exaggeration) 300th+ appearance, or he's going to be incredibly disappointed. Someone buying an Xbone had better love musclebound jocks hiding behind waist high walls. People's enjoyment of PS4 doesn't just come down to a cocky git looting tombs, though.
@Matroska exclusives were big during the ps2/XB/GC gen because Sony had so many on PlayStation (1st & 3rd party) now there just a bonus to whatever console you go with, but that doesn't mean anyone overestimates them Halo will shift XB1 Zelda with shift WiiU (or the NX) & now Uncharted will shift PS4
Much as I love my PS4 and a lot of the games that are available, for me at least, what stops this being the best console for gamers is the PSN itself. There are a lot of games that rely heavily on the online component - especially a few big name games due in November - Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Star Wars: Battlefront etc as well as existing games like Destiny. However these are impacted on because of the PSN. As someone with both an XB1 and PS4, with both Gold and PS+ as well as games like Destiny on both, its very easy to compare how each 'plays'. Take Destiny as an example, I play both console versions with players from around the world (I'm from the UK and been in fireteams comprising of players from Australia, US/Canada etc simultaneously) and notice far more 'lag', network and performance issues over PSN. I also have far more times when PSN is down for 'maintenance' or other connection issues that directly impact on my ability to even play online. It is one of my biggest concerns with the 2 big shooters arriving in November.
I have no doubt that the PS4 is a great console with some really great games available and due out soon and there is no way I regret buying it but for me at least, what stops this from being the best console for gamers is the PSN.
I guess its the best console if resolution and offline gaming is all you care about and play but for a lotof games where online is essential or at least very important, its 'average'.
For me 'Greatness Awaits...' is just missing 'a consistent and decent PSN'
Don't get me wrong, the PSN isn't always an issue but its enough of a problem from my perspective that it does affect my gaming often enough and causes me concern when considering games like SW:BF and CoD: BO3 (although I still have these on pre-order). Obviously its not likely to affect my most anticipated PS4 releases (Uncharted 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn) that much as I doubt I will play online components that much.
@Matroska
How can I overestimate the importance of exclusives when I'm talking mainly about my experience with the PS4 and Wii U. It's evident that Sony is on the right track, there are hard sales figures that tell me that and I've gone on record stating that I admire PS an awful lot from a business perspective this gen. But for someone who owns all consoles, exclusives are mostly the games that get me most exited because they tend to use the hardware to its fullest, have great production value, aren't afraid to be different and are a "business card" for the brand, so you won't see unfair microtransactions and DLC policies as much as normal.
There's more than enough to play on the PS4 and I'm not saying people shouldn't enjoy what's given to them, but selling this many units with the games that are currently our exclusive to the PS4 is quite remarkable. But looking at the PS4 from my perspective it simply isn't as great as I hoped and this is due to the expectations I had going in. The PS1 was an absolute gamechanger and made gaming cool, the PS2 made me play DVDs which no one had back then and the PS3 had this insane processor and Blu Ray which really sparkled my imagination. And leaving the PS3 era we were so spoiled with games like TLOU and PS+ which offered more games than I could ever play, so I was hoping for a continuation of that feeling, I was hoping for another technological leap and when I first laid eyes on the PS4 it almost took my breath away by its design only; a console that was half as big as its main competitor WITH the power brick built in, in my mind all this excitement was building up. Needless to say, the PS4 hasn't delivered what I hoped it would yet, and I expressed that feeling.
Is it Sony's fault I expected more? No. But discussing these topics in the comment section is kinda what these things are for; I can have another opinion than others without meaning to insult anyone. There's absolutely no reason to defend the console you bought and love as passionate as some people online tend to do, cause not everything is an attack. If I like Bayonetta 2, MK8, SM3DW, Pikmin 3, SSB, Wonderful 101, Kirby rainbow road, Yoshi woolly world and the upcoming Xeboblade better than everything Sony has put out thus far, doesn't mean others should feel the same; if they did the Wii U wouldn't be in such a sitty place atm.
No matter how popular PlayStation was, Sony always managed to make me as a gamer feel special, almost as if I belonged to some secret society. The typical PlayStation gamer in my mind always was a bit more open minded and humble but proud, just like Sony presents itself most of the time. With the PS4 I don't feel as appreciated as a consumer as I used to do and I sometimes think Sony is really lacking some basic communication skills if I put it nicely, or that they are getting a bit cocky if I'm more to the point.
This feeling I have isn't set in stone, I want Sony to make me happy. I'm not here to take away from other people's experiences or to promote Nintendo or MS. Some people love a product, brand or company unconditionally and some people learned the hard way that it sometimes is okay to critisize the ones you love, whether it are people or products. I know Sony is going to wow me within a year with Morpheus, the kind of exclusive stuff I want to be part of the PS nation for. When this era is over I'll look back at the most wonderful PS generation ever and when the PS5 drops I'll feel sad because it just isn't such a big leap technically as the PS4 with its VR was and with the PS4 Sony made me feel special as opposed to being "a number" to them with the PS5.....
@BAMozzy
Spot on about PSN. It's something I haven't been impressed with for a while now and while I think it's better than it was last gen, it still isn't consistent enough. When gaming goes service based, which we all know is coming, Sony is going to be in big trouble if it can not fix PSN to be on par with Xbox Live and other services. Being honest, while I'd be annoyed by some of PSN's issues if it were still free, it wouldn't bother me nearly as much as it does now since we have to pay. It makes me wonder where my $50 a year is going to. To be fair, this year the PSN has been a lot more consistent than I remember it being last year, where it seemed like there was something going on every week, but I need to see this kind of performance be repeated for years not just a lucky 12 months.
@BAMozzy To be fair I'd be surprised if MS, as big as they are in that area, weren't able to offer a better online service than Sony. I doubt Sony'll match it any time soon.
@get2sammyb I played the beta and while it's not for me,I'd be hard pressed to imagine a star wars fan not going bonkers over this game. It will sell consoles and make pretend jedis very happy. That guy is just jaded.
Battlefront is a special class of art made for and by SW fans, and less of an online mp shooter made by and for gamers per se. We want the pew-pew! and the hum-crash! and to see our beloved characters represented on the best console around. Just like Snake or Drake or Quake it's inexplicably satiating to see just how good they'll look. Not to mention the role play aspect employed by enthusiasts like myself who wear the armor (or at least bucket) as we play to maximize all that. Its fun is partially not reliant upon the details of the gameplay mechanics
@GlynCR That's just it, though. Skyward Sword didn't shift Wii at all. The Wii was doing it's own thing that had very little to do with Zelda. In the period that the Wii sold 90 million units, Skyward Sword only sold 250,000 copies. That means 99.73% of those people didn't buy Skyward Sword. It was not at all a factor in their decision to buy a Wii.
It's the variety of games that does it, whether they're available elsewhere or not. I mean, yeah, I don't disagree that if a console's entire library was available on another console, and that other console ALSO had exclusives, it's no surprise which would do better. That's never really the case, though. You can do a list of each console's true exclusives - not available elsewhere including on other devices by the same manufacturer - and the Wii U has the most by far, then the Xbone, then PS4. That's oddly the exact reverse order of success, though.
However, if you made lists of the games that console lacks (e.g. MGSV isn't an exclusive but the Wii U lacks it, Pirate Warriors 3 isn't an exclusive but Xbone and Wii U lack it) then the PS4 is way ahead (in terms of lacking the least), then the Xbone, then the Wii U. That's also the order of most to least successful console.
@Boerewors I can't argue against the fact that that's how you feel, but I would say that there's nothing objectively different about the PS4 to previous PS systems in that regard. It's probably just that you're almost a decade older than you were when the PS3 came out. You're more experienced with how all this works.
Like, people now moan about HD remasters as if they're a new thing but one of the most beloved early SNES games was Mario All-Stars - effectively a "HD remaster" of its time. No one saw it way then because we were all about 10 or whatever. Now those same people are 30ish, they're a lot more cynical and would see Mario All-Star as a lazy cashgrab to fill in an otherwise limited release schedule if they were this age back then.
There are hundreds of such things that we were very happy about when they happened to us in our childhood but whenever something similar happens now it's the worst thing ever and the death of gaming. People bitch about "pointless peripherals" that Sony don't support, yet many of the same people (especially in America where Nintendo was the undisputed king) would have been hyped as hell for ROB on the SNES, the Virtual Boy, the Power Glove, the SNES mouse, the Super Scope, the NES Zapper, etc etc. All of those things combined had less support than PS Move. I have genuinely seen people defend the Power Glove and ROB online. That's nostalgia and fanboyism for you, I guess.
Anyway, I hope you feel differently about the PS4 as the generation moves on.
@Matroska
Thanks for your reply!
You're absolutely right with pretty much everything you're saying and objectively the PS4 isn't any worse or better than its predecessors, it's all about personal feelings which are heavily influenced by lots of factors with age being one. But the biggest difference between now and then is how "we" as a group experience our console; fanboyism is of all ages, but because of the Internet it's so much more visible. In the old days when you had a problem with your console, its games or its manufacturer you could discuss this with friends or at the local game shop. Nowadays when you try and tell how you feel about certain things and there is the slightest sound of negativity, the PS/ Xbox/ Nintendo police is coming for you and they won't stop till they made it clear to everyone that you probably don't even own the console you write about.
If for instance you say: "man, PSN is down here in Africa, wanted to play ..... so bad", you immediately get the following replies: 1) everything is working fine here, nothing to see here, move on. 2) with this kinda weather you shouldn't be inside playing anyway, and my all time favorite 3) Xbox live was down last week and people still have trouble loading their friendlist. How on earth is that even relevant? Why are people defending Sony if it's not necessary or worse, why are people defending Sony when some criticism IS necessary? We as consumers should be sticking together and ask the most for our money, instead of teaming up with the company that ultimately only is interested in our money.
I'm not enjoying my PS4s so far and I'm having more fun with my Vita, Xbox and Wii U. I feel these things are totally relevant to discuss in these sort of boards because I honestly think that's how a consumer - company relationship should work: they try to squeeze every penny out of us and we try to get the most for that money. The moment MS announces BC or strikes a nice deal with EA for Acces and you see the Internet exploding with people/ fanboys saying they don't need all these things, then you're really doing something wrong; even if you don't wanna use it, if Sony is able to offer it, they should. People are buying remaster after remaster, praise PSnow and ask for PS2 and PS3 games on PSN, to turn around and say backwards compatibility is nonsense....it doesn't make sense!
And will I start enjoying the PS4 at some point? Of course I will, I'm already enjoying myself as it is. But I can't say this gen has been wonderful so far for the blue team and I'm just as surprised at the sales figures as Sony is. I admire them from a business perspective, but at the moment I think they should be pushing harder. But I'm sure when Morpheus drops you'll see a different me, cause that's just the kinda thing I need from Sony: some good ol fashioned throwing money in a bottomless well so we can experience the future! I love it!
