Winter has arrived. No, really – the greenery of the UK has turned an icy shade of white, and we've reverted to performing star jumps in the Push Square office just to stay warm. It's been a bit of a quiet week here in the PlayStation Nation, but a deluge of new releases are about to deploy, so we may as well make the most of the down time.

I'll need to draw blood while chanting Geralt of Rivia's name in order to prove that I genuinely have come around on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but first I'm going to be exploring Skellige for about, oh, a billion hours.
Robert Ramsey, Associate Editor
Seeing Sammy's recent enthusiasm for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has inspired me to get cracking on my New Game Plus run – and I'm already having a blast. Needless to say, I'll be slicing and slashing my way through as much of it as I possibly can before February's reviews start pouring in. I may also try to finish Tales from the Borderlands this weekend, but that's a tall order when True Game of the Year 2015 is sitting in my PS4's disc drive. [Didn't know you'd started Bloodborne, Ramsey? – Ed]

This weekend, the Yakuza 5 train will keep on rolling. I think I'm going to have to stop trying to do everything in this brilliant game if I ever want to play anything else in 2016. That said, if I do manage to drag myself away from punching fools in the face, I'll probably take some time to check out either Rebel Galaxy or Oxenfree.

After consecutive weekends of actually successfully finishing the games that I set out to beat – Rise of the Tomb Raider and the first Witcher 3 expansion – I've decided to not give myself any particular games to play. What that means is that I'll probably fall back on a mix of Rock Band 4 and NHL 16, which is pretty much what I'm always playing when I don't have anything particular in mind to tackle.

I've been returning for a fleeting visit to Seattle in inFAMOUS: First Light – the land of Sub Pop – but considering that it's almost two years since inFAMOUS: Second Son released, I've become so accustomed to speeding around with Fetch's Neon that I've lost any skill at using Delsin's Video power in the survival battle arenas.

Ah, I finished Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake! Massively better than its predecessor in every way. That gives me full freedom to delve into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain this weekend and for the next few weeks. That Dragon, Cancer is also on my list, which I'll be setting aside to play for a few serious, sombre hours, and lastly, I'll be continuing my spelunking in Siberia with Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I'll be finishing off the last scraps of Tearaway Unfolded this weekend, before moving on to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and hopefully a bit of Grim Fandango Remastered, if I can squeeze it in. I'll also be playing FIFA 16, to celebrate Liverpool's draw against Arsenal – see, playing it safe. [Dammit, Sam – I was hoping you were going to guarantee a United win – Ed]

Last weekend I focussed on doing some work on the house in Rainbow Six Siege. This weekend, however, I am going to be working on the garden in the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 beta.

Not too much gaming for me this weekend I am afraid due to work. If I do get any time it will be Call of Duty: Black Ops III local multiplayer with my son. I never thought that I'd get hooked on a CoD game like this!
We've chatted ourselves out, so now it's your turn to pick up the slack. What will be keeping you busy this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

Forcing myself to finally finish Just Cause 3 (will be glad to be done with it!), Garden Warfare 2 beta, Dragon Quest Heroes, & Kirby Triple Deluxe
Bleach Brave Souls (Android), Bleach Soul Resurrección and J-Stars Victory Vs+ (playing as Ichigo)
i seem to be in a "Bleach" phase at the moment
Thank God you didn't say anything, Sam.
I hoping to start God of war 1 on my vita, need to do the HD collection before I start 3 on the ps4 which I got among other things this Christmas
Mainly Black Ops 3, love the double cryptokey event.
Also some Uncharted and Divinity original sin, while waiting for Resident Evil this monday.
Got the GTA Trilogy on sale this week so I'll be playing through that, starting with GTA III.
I'm just under 80 hours into Fallout 4 and I can't put it down! I do plan to get round to some ESO but it looks very unlikely with Fallout stuck in my PS4. I was also feeling like jumping into Fifa, Battlefront and Chivalry but I doubt I'll get round to any of them with Fallout in the way...
Ploughing some more time into Witcher 3 which has so far failed to gel with me 6 hours in. Though after seeing Sammy's article this week where it took him 20+ hours to get in to, I'll give it more of a chance yet! Not sure I'll ever find the combat that satisfying though as let's face it - it's a bit rubbish!
Mass Effect, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect. I got the trilogy yesterday, and an now hooked. The combats a bit aged, but otherwise it's fantastic, and I can't till I beat it and see what all the rage about Mass Effect 2 is.
For me I decided with the passing of Alan Rickman to go back and finish my first play through of Lego Harry Potter years 5-7, and maybe finish collecting the red multiplier bricks. After I'm done with the final three stages I never completed on my PS3 I'll turn my attention back to DBX on PS4 to finish collecting my final 5 dragon balls to make my last platinum related wish. Maybe grind a few more Ultra and Special attacks to get closer to the plat, but not sure. If I have a little extra time I may dig back into Bloodborne, but that will probably not happen this weekend. I have dropped Cleric Beast, Father Gasgoine, Vicar Amelia, Blood Starved Beast & The Witch of Hemwick so far, cool game and after struggling a lot in the beginning I'm starting to get much better with the game mechanics. That is it for me as I continue working on Backlog January!
@Jaz007 - The combat in Mass Effect 2 and 3 is much improved over the first Mass Effect. The second one is hands down my favorite in the trilogy. You are in for a treat...
Popolocrois on my old PSP and a little of other game on the PS4.
@FullbringIchigo Nice to see another Bleach fan on the site! I really need to finish where the anime cuts off so I can get into the final arc in the manga, since, ya know, it might not ever get animated.
Just Cause 3, Star Wars Battlefront, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. I have a huge backlog of games that I may try getting around to as well... My current schedule has given me less time to game. 😩 Class, work, gym....
@vegeta11 DBXV, great game only have 1 trophy left my self
but i can NEVER get a certain mission to drop the bloody super attack (>.<) no matter how many times i play the stupid mission it NEVER drops
i think it's a bug, it has to be because only doing one mission numorus times a day everyday FOR 2 MONTHS and it still hasn't dropped must be a glitch in the game
@JesWood13 never say never because the animators have said they still would like to do more Bleach
i guess there is some other reason for them not doing it that they can't say about
@FullbringIchigo I hope we hear something soon. It's killing me!
@JesWood13 me too but at least they ended the Fullbringer Arc in a way that it can act as an end to the anime and haven't left us hanging with a cliff hanger ending
@FullbringIchigo I can't wait to finally get to the end, haha.
@JesWood13 yeah the new manga Arc has had a load of great moments such as Spoiler:Rukia getting a Bankai
@FullbringIchigo No way!! Ahh! I gotta get to the manga soon!! I never thought it was possible for her!
@JesWood13 you can see plenty of pics of it online just do a google search for it
@ShogunRok Believe me, it was tempting
This weekend I'll getting stuck into more Fallout 4 with some Chivalry: Medieval Warfare on the side to mix things up (I've picked up Chivalry in the recent sale just as I'm starting to teach Medieval history to my students, funny coincidence! Now if I can only find a good reason to bring my ps4 to the school.....)
As for Fallout, about 25 hrs into the game and it's beginning to get it's hooks into me, still think it's been over-hyped and overrated to a certain degree but I'm starting to really enjoy it now. It does feel like I've only scratched the surface though
@FullbringIchigo Just looked it up and it's freaking cool looking!
Finally got over my "I'm so bored of fantasy RPGs" phase so I'm playing the Witcher 3 and loving every second I'm glad I waited until my gaming head was in a good place. Now I just have to finish it before the witness turns up and the 2016 madness begins
Ps4: Akiba's Trip, Everybody's gone to the rapture, and Old Hunters.
Wii U: Splatoon, Metroid Zero Mission.
Xbone: Fallout 4, Sunset Overdrive.
3DS: Persona Q, Hatsune Miku.
Vita: Persona Dancing all night.
Seeing SomecallmeJohnny's Metal Gear Marathon has gotten me in a stealthy mood, so it's going to be Metal Gear for me this weekend. I'm bringing myself to finish Peace Walker, doing Sons of Liberty's VR missions, and have a run on Portable Ops to finish. Muscle memory is totally not going to be a problem.
Trapping 5 allusive animals and getting 8-9 more gifted pongos for my base. Then I will finally say goodbye to mgs pp. What a ride, what a game. Then start unchartered 2 finally.
Xbox 360: Uno
PlayStation Portable: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2006
I have the worst weekend ever so I'm buying some games (Nuclear Throne, Super Mario 64 DS) and listening to my current favorite soundtracks (Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, The Force Awakens, C418)
And a double dose of beer... >> << >_>
I just finished the main story of Fallout 4 and I thought it was awesome. I'll be eventually getting back to some of the side quests, but for now, I'm going to play a quick run of Uncharted 1 Remastered before moving on to Arkham City (I've played the original UC trilogy, but I want to get it back in my head)
I'm also going to try Jackbox Party Pack 2 for the first time tonight. It's my first experience with the series but I've heard great things. I'm excited.
I am getting my PS4 tomorrow! I am very excited! I am getting the uncharted bundle and star wars battlefront. I am also going to get transformers devisation and destiny down the line. I can't wait for no man's sky and the ratchet and clank reboot! Any other recommendations? I am coming from an only Nintendo gaming background since the ps2.
Just started Season 5 in Diablo 3. This is the PC version but it's a PS4 game as well, so it's kind of relevant. In PS4 land, I want to get back and actually finish FO4. I played it every day for a good while (my total playtime is about 8 days) but did what I usually do and inexplicably stopped playing when the end was in sight. I also got Shadow of Mordor GOTY a week or so ago. I only played it once before getting distracted by other things. I should really get back to it.
Back to Diablo 3, it blows my mind how much some people play it and how good they've got at rushing to level 70 and beyond. If you don't know, the seasons are a limited time thing where you make a "seasonal character" which is back to level 1 and doesn't share the stash with your other characters. It's a total blank slate. You then see how far you can get and what you can accomplish in that season. By the time I'd got to level 21, someone else had got to level 70, then got several hundred(!) paragon levels, then collected 8 entire green sets, then done 8 of the special "set dungeons" that completing certain sets give you access to. As if that wasn't ridiculous enough, these dungeons aren't the usual thing; these ones have special challenges you've got to complete that can be very hard to do.
@Jaz007 The combat felt aged at the time, truthfully. ME2 and 3 saw Bioware nailing the feel of the combat a lot more.
@Bananaman678 The Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD collection is great value for money and also has some content that the original PS2 releases didn't have. A lot of people really love The Witcher 3 and it's still being supported with DLC (excellent value for money DLC, we're talking full expansions) and patches. Same goes for Fallout 4 (well, no DLC out yet but it's on its way).
@kratosMD thanks I'll check out tearaway unfolded! I have seen the original tearaway on my friend's vita and it looked very fun! InFamous looks really good too! @matroska I'm thinking about fallout 4. Thanks for the suggestion!
Not playing much due to visiting family and lots and lots of driving in between... But cone Monday (if this still counts as wayp) will be playing a bit of witcher 3 still trying to get my level up to play that bloody dlc and sone fallout 4 and just cause 3.
Finally got around to playing and finishing Alien Isolation. I really enjoyed it! It's definitely an under rated game. It just takes a few missions to get going. If anyone hasn't played it and enjoyed the playstyle in Outlast I highly recommend playing Alien Isolation.
Tomorrow its back to Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 or Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
This weekend I'm going to be playing Batman:Arkham Knight, parappa the rapper 2 and final fantasy x on the vita.
Tearaway: Unfolded
Such a brilliant game. Really sad we won't see a sequel.
Bit of Rocket League, plenty of Fallout 4 as I need to finish my house and the giant stormtrooper light I've been building, I might even do some more story missions. Other than that I'm going to start Alien Isolation, I bought it a while back but haven't played other yet and I like a bit of survival horror.
Plants vs Zombies GW2 Beta...what else? ;D
Played some Battlefront and Rainbow Siege today and the wife's on Witcher 3 now. Just finally watched Django Unchained which I really enjoyed. That's that really, enjoy your weekends , I'll be watching Liverpool beat utd tomorrow hopefully .

Finally got around to playing danganronpa another episode. Absolutely amazing. Can't believe I let it sit so long.
Still playing through Freedom Wars here and there, with an assortment of PS4 titles when I get the chance.
I just bought a vita this week. After finishing fire emblem awakening this Friday I started danganranpa yesterday. In pretty happy with my vita purchase. It's a super legit game. I m enjoying it more than 999 on the ds. Though I do miss the puzzles.
This weekend, and going into next week since I'm off for a week, going to be digging into some:
The Witcher 3; pushing on from level 16 and set to explore finally explore Skellige.
PvZ GW 2 beta (just for the heck of it)
Hotline Miami 1 (played it months ago but want to now finish it)
Deus Ex Human Revolution (inspired by the awesome looking upcoming Mankind Divided)
Axiom Verge, Undertale, Guitar Hero (the gf has got into it now. It's pure fun) and some Nuclear Throne in between.
@JadedGamer ah, if you're into Japanese games then the Vita is a very wise purchase indeed. JRPGs and indies are spot on for the Vita.
Near to platinuming ff7, weapons are done and got knights just need to max out gil trophy, get last two characters limit breaks and hit lvl 99.so its pretty much grind, grind, grind
@Johnnycide unfortunately not all jrpgs are created equally.could any one recommend some of the best? I basically bought it for the corpse parties etc I can't find on my 3ds. But it's a nice system for sure.
@Bananaman678 Some games I recommendyou look into that haven't been suggested yet are Samurai Warriors 4 (a fantastic Warriors game with a lot of content), Don't Starve (a hardcore survival PSN game with a Tim Burton art style, Assassin's Creed: Unity (I loved it to death, but due a bit if extra research since a lot of people didn't strangely) and Towerfall: Ascension (if you're looking for a great local multiplayer game).
Some are already suggested ganes I'd like to enforce as must plays are inFamous: Second Son and Bloodborne.
@bananaman678 I also come from Nintendo console gaming and I really recommend Fallout 4, so many hours to put in that game, and I'm also looking forward to BO3 dlc. Which is a fun multiplayer game. And don't starve is one of my favourite games it's a real challenge but I prefer to play it on Wii U since you have the gamepad map always open which comes in handy but I'm assuming the ps4 will have expansions before Wii U.
@Bananaman678
The last of us remastered
Rocket league
GTA V
Metal Gear Phantom Pain
I have an extra long weekend so I'll be finishing up the Just Cause 3 story, since I have only a few levels left. I also just started Watch Dogs, but I probably won't divulge into the story mode at all, for at least this weekend. Another game I just started was Mad Max, although I am not really into the game as of right now. It feels weird playing it and the story doesn't make much sense to me so I probably won't be playing that a whole lot. I also may start MGS V Phantom Pain. I've been holding back on starting it knowing that the tutorial is almost a hour long and trying to make that much time for one sitting is kind of hard. And of course, I will put in sometime playing Madden 16 this weekend.
Well come Friday 6:30pm I will be completing a 24 hr gaming challenge to raise money for our charity the OPANI, who help people who have or have had Oesophageal cancer. I was diagnosed in Sept 2013 and in March 2014 had my stomach removed.
I will playing a range of games from Batman: Arkham Knight, NBA 2K16, Far Cry 4 to Metro: Redux.
If you can spare a penny or two please do at the link below.

Ticking off a couple more locations in Fallout 4 and working on a couple of the remaining trophies.
