The PlayStation 4 has had another reasonably solid week in Japan, with Sony's latest console shifting 31,158 units - enough to ensure its place at the top of the charts. Sales did see a slight decline compared to the week prior, but that's to be expected seeing as juggernaut release Dragon Quest Builders enjoyed a massively successful launch.
Speaking of Square Enix's colourful new title, the Minecraft-like role-playing game continued to sell impressively well, moving a total of 103,326 copies across Vita, PS4, and PS3. However, it was knocked off the software summit by new arrival Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, which solid through a decent 64,446 copies on its debut.

It's good to see PS4 selling over 25k units each week after the holiday period. Hopefully it can keep that up as a minimum moving forward...
Aye, if they manage to keep selling the PS4 well then hopefully they can manage a minimum figure of about a million a year.
I wish we had Yakuza Kiwami over here in the West. Nice to see its sales hold somewhat strong. May have to import it sometime this summer, only reason I haven't yet is I'm holding out slight hope we get a digital release as a surprise announcement at E3 or something.
On the hardware front, I still don't think 30K is anything to celebrate and I'm pretty sure PS4 won't even match PS3 lifetime sales in Japan but that's just the way it is there. Over at NintendoLife I'm reading about stock shortages to explain those pathetic Wii U sales numbers. While it obviously played a role it's not like sales ever went through the roof consistently. If the PS4 had those numbers those same clowns would be throwing a party. 'Stock shortage' or no, this is embarrassing. NX better be out this year and it better be worth a damn.
Ps4 and ps vita numbers are strong again. Nice to see.
PSV showing its teeth. GO Vita!
