It's a fairly pleasant UK sales chart for fans of Japanese games this week: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 burst its way into third position, proving that Robert Ramsey isn't the only person on the planet that cares for these games. Call of Duty: Black Ops III and LEGO Marvel's Avengers finished ahead of the anime brawler, while FIFA 16 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege rounded out the top five.
Rather impressively, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth hatched open 11th place, as the usual roster of Grand Theft Auto V, Star Wars Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and Minecraft padded out the top ten. There was bad news for Gravity Rush Remastered, however, which debuted in 34th place – a very disappointing launch for the PlayStation 4 re-release. Thank heavens the sequel is already in development, eh?

I'm partly to blame for Gravity Rush as haven't ordered my copy yet. Will do at some point but it's a shame to see it not perform that well...
Played Gravity Rush on the Vita, so wasn't that interested in picking up the PS4 version. It was a decent game once you got used to the controls, but certainly not the best game available to spend your money on so I can understand it not doing too great (especially as I'm sure most people have a decent sized back catalogue after Christmas).
I'm sure CoD is doing so well this week due to two major retailers selling it at £20, I know I couldn't resist at that price and picked up my first CoD since MW2 (the Cthulhu inspired zombies maps swayed me). I apologise for that
The above average reviews didn't help. Most of the reviewers that scored the game had already played the Vita original. I'm not sure why they didn't get someone who hadn't played the Vita game. The combat criticised in many of the reviews was something I enjoyed. I am new to this game and this is one of the best game experiences I have had. Great main character, great humour, fantastic gravity powers, beautiful City to explore. I am vey impressed playing this game. But I am disappointed at the sales. This remastered game deserves to be experienced by millions not thousands.
Very disappointed with Gravity Rush's performance. Just like Tearaway again.
I think a lot of people will have already bought and played it on the Vita where it belongs. It is also not a AAA game and has been advertised nor got the hype that inferior games seem to get over here.
They would rather play an average COD game than anything slightly different but each to their own.
This is why you can't have nice things, ya'll.
Gamers: give us this game on this platform and it's a day one purchase
Sony: OK, gamers. Here you go.
Gamers: Yeah, no. Already got it on another platform. Now, why haven't you released Obscure Japanese Title X yet, you corporate sods.
Sony: ...
@hi_drnick Basically, yes.
Gravity rush did Crap because there wasn't any supply, at my store we only got 2 copies in which were for preorders and that's it.
I love Gravity Rush but have no need to buy it again on the ps4... Really looking forward to the sequel, hopefully it does better.
Uh well. I thought about getting it but I'll wait. Mum got me Naruto for my birthday tho. lol
I have noticed not many stores actually stocked Gravity Rush compared to Naruto, I work in a game store and actually had to get a friend to purchase me Gravity Rush from his local GAME store and that was apparently stocked with only a few copies of the title which is a shame. Hopefully the stock shortage is dealt with and more people can experience Gravity Rush.
I really loved Gravity Rush on the Vita but there are just too many games to play. So even at it's low price, I think I'll pass for now.
People are nuts they rather buy the same piece of crap over and over again. I have lost faith in the gaming community. I think we dont deserve the good stuff. Dont worry I a while we will only get the same garbage From EA and Activision COD, FIFA, BF. And people dont stop complaining we want something new and when we get it we wont buy it. I did my part got my copy on day 1.
@Dichotomy You pick COD over Gravity Rush you make me sad or sick Im not sure what to pick.....
I have BO3 played it one week now it is collecting dust this will be that last part Im picking up. I fell for it again now I am making myself sad....
@NamelessAndi did you guys get any display sleeves... We never got any pos or displays at all!
Gravity rush was amazing on my vita. But it does not feel right to play it on my ps4. The same for gravity rush 2 when it come it. If it not on my vita, I will skip.
@Flaming_Kaiser As I said, I've already played it on Vita so not too sure why I'd make you sick (or sad for that reason), seems a bit of an overreaction to me. Remasters are fine if you've not played the game before, but I'd rather play something new than cover old ground again.
A shame, but it was expected. Even on forums I've seen little talk about this game, nobody was paying attention it seems. Haven't seen much advertisement either. Hopefully GR2 will get some more hype behind it.
@brendon987 ''Does not feel right'' as in the controls? Because I've played the PS4 and it controls very well, I've even heard some say it's the better version thanks to the enhanced controls.
This is on Sony as much as it is the PS fanbase that talks up the great diversity then only buys the usual sh*t. Or cries that 'the game is meant to only be played on Vita,' when it actually started on PS3 and frankly, as much as I love the original release, it plays much better on PS4 than Vita. Beyond that, if you have a PS4 and Vita and really like the series you'll support it regardless of platform, for example you wouldn't see Nintendo fans b*tch about Pokemon making the jump to consoles because Nintendo fans, as crazy as some of them are, just like great games and buy them in great numbers (it's embarrassing that on a console with 3 times less fewer users, Mario Kart 8 sales blow away those of games like inFamous or Bloodborne, Sony fans don't support their exclusives though). All that aside, when a game is supply constrained and has ZERO advertisement it will not sell. And the a-holes at Sony are doing the same thing in regards to Ratchet & Clank and have done this for several other games. They can pour absurd amounts of money into crap like VR but can't advertise a great game unless it's Uncharted. F'ing ridiculous. Makes me fear for Gravity Rush 2.
i would have got Gravity Rush but i can only afford 1 game at a time and i had Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 earmarked for over a year
Gravity Rush should have stayed a vita exclusive. Ditto for the sequel. I loved GR on vita - platinumed it too. It is a great handheld game. I have no interest to play this nor the sequel on PS4.
@MadAussieBloke
Still ridiculous that on a console with over 35 million users, great games can't sell unless they're the usual CoD or AC. I buy those games as well but I also try to broaden my gaming horizons a bit.
Champions of the digital woooorld! Happy to see Digimon doing well
I noticed many game stores didn't get Gravity Rush my local Grainger Games didn't get any in apart from a very few selected stores for some weird reason and GAME only managed to get 2 copies in.
I enjoyed Gravity Rush on the Vita and I still think it's one of the best games on the system but I'm enjoying it more on PS4 and it's even better since it doesn't force the use of the motion sensor. I can't wait for Gravity Rush 2 and as long as SCEE stick to giving it a physical release I'll be happy.
@MadAussieBloke
Well, I'm not arguing that. There's a reason I own a PS4 and Xbox One and frequent PlayStation and Xbox websites more than Nintendo ones.
And sorry about the multiple responses. Not sure why I sent like 7 replies. I only hit the reply button once.
@viciousarcanum Loads of people buy online now and there's plenty of supply at Amazon. I can't remember the last time I or anyone I know bought a game from GAME. Perhaps towards the beginning of last gen. Why would people pay 25% more AND have to go and pick it up themselves rather than getting it delivered to them?
Talking of which, Gravity Rush is the 31st most popular PS4 product on Amazon UK, one spot above Minecraft. It's slightly better than it sounds because a number of the slots are taken up by controllers, PSN credit, various console models, etc. If you remove that kind of thing (and the CE for The Division), it's the 20th best selling PS4 game.
Still, it was never going to sell all that well. Sony knew that, hence it being only £20 at launch (or £25 if you pay GAME tax). Common sense says that they didn't need to make THAT much off it since they'll already made their development money back and then some from the Vita version. Hopefully any sales are pretty much pure bonuses rather than required to break even.
