Tom Clancy's The Division has been a success commercially - there's no doubt about that - but now that the game's been out for a few weeks, we thought that it might be interesting to see what you lot think of it. Indeed, if we cast our minds back to the heady days of Destiny and its highly anticipated launch, just about everyone was hopping aboard the Bungie hype train - but it wasn't too long before cracks started to appear for many a player, as the endgame content struggled to keep a lot of people engaged.
So, has the same happened to Ubisoft's latest? Is the release doing enough to keep you playing? Are you still enjoying it as much as you did when it first launched? Take part in our poll, and then share your thoughts in the comments section below.

- I am, but it's becoming a grind

Although I have never played the game, it does seem that Ubisoft has managed to create something that has obviously compelled people to buy and play it. On top of that the negative outlook on the run up to release has resulted in unexpected praise. As I write this, 80% of people who took part in the poll has bought and played the Division. Impressed.
I tend to play in 2 hour bursts, and this game suits me perfectly. About 25 hours in and level 18, enjoying it and only just getting into the dark zone. I imagine it could become a grind and a bit samey for people who like to play for longer at a time, though.
I've loved the game since the beta, but being level 30 gets a little stale. The end-game is a bit lacking and I worry for just how long it'll keep people's attention. The daily missions and Dark Zone can only keep people coming back for a certain time until they move on, and without the bounties or raids that Destiny boasts, not to mention the 30 day XBone exclusivity for the upcoming DLC packs, exactly how long will everyone keep playing?
Of course, that goes double for solo players like me, who have no friends to play it with
I played it for exactly 8hrs and 36 mins before I got a bit bored. I logged in last night for the first time in 10 days and quickly logged back out. I needed a break after 8 hours of play, but now I can't see myself logging back in. The game is technically excellent, but the story is shallow, side missions are dull and repetitive, and the loot all seems the same – at least in the first 10 hours. I don't suppose I'll ever find out if it gets better because there isn't enough to keep me engaged to get to that point. A lot of people say the Dark Zone is where it's at, but I don't much care for PvP, so the game has been a bit of a laborious grind for me. Think I'll stick it on eBay.
I still enjoy it but I wouldn't consider myself a "hardcore" gamer. With a full-time job, a wife and kids I play when I get the opportunity. I have still managed to log about 30+ hours into my character and I have enjoyed every minute!!
No, I'm playing on PC. It's good, it could have been great. The Dark Zone goes from tense and exhilarating to annoying and stupid in an instant. The bugs, glitches and places you can get stuck are almost game breaking. But the loop is fun, the world is cool and the co-op is fun. Overall I have enjoyed my 80 plus hours and will probably hit 100 in the next week.
I completed the story and collected every bit of intel but felt no satisfaction whatsoever after it. It just ended really flat and said something like, 'plenty more in the dark zone'. The dark zone doesn't interest me though. It was fun whilst playing but I think it's all over for me.
Since I'm way beyond being a teen with more time than money, I have no desire to play a grindy boring shooter MMO like this for 80-200hrs. I'd rather buy a couple of shorter games I actually want to play to broaden my gaming horizon.
I can't believe so many people complain yet still play the same damn game 20hrs a week.
Traded back in for more money than I paid. Enjoyed it a bit but not being someone who plays with friends online it didn't last for me. Also, I play too many games to commit to games that request so much time to reward you. Enjoyed what I played though.
Played the Beta for about an hour, didn't like the shooting mechanics so I deleted it. Tbh I can't see this game lasting anywhere near as long as Destiny.
Quite surprised at the poll results. Granted, I am also one of those that didn't buy it. For me, I think I rather wait till summer when the game will have likely received a few patches and hopefully, some additional content that makes the endgame worthwile.
I never got it, but like Destiny as long as people played to the point where they were finished with it and had fun in the process fair play to you. And if you are still enjoying it, even better!
I haven't even hit the level cap yet and still have quite a bit to do. I'm having fun, especially with the Dark Zone.
Really enjoy this game. I spent 4 hours on Destiny before I sold it I have already put many more hours into this game.
43% did not bought? Congratulation guys!
PushSquare have one of the smartest and selective community in the internet.
@Gatatog I will gladly play with you, but i am only lvl 15 at the moment, so... Yea, it is still pretty fun for me, even tho i can see some of the grind, but what did you expect from a game so much like Destiny? I love Destiny, and i think i love this game as well.
Does this game have single player mode and story? Can it be played offline? If I don't care about multiplayer games like Destiny but I like very much games such as Assassin's Creed or Tomb Raider, and I have no objections against current/future time setting, should I buy this game?
I think it is pretty fun, and i want to get to lvl 30 so i can do my master plan MUAHAHAHA! I want to get a group of badasses and become Rouge! I tried doing this in the beta, but my friends were like "We will lose our stuff" It was the last beta day! lol. Anyway, i think Destiny has cool stuff like raids, but the crucible is where most people are, and i can only play crucible for one or two matches at a time. As for the division, Dark Zone is pretty cool, i must admit, and even tho i love Destiny, it is one of my favorite games, i haven't played Destiny since Last Monday or Tuesday. (i got battlefront on Tuesday, and played it with nephews, but took it back one Wednesday to get the Division)
@AlexKidd I am in this position with the Division. I have a lot of friends that play so know I wouldn't be without options but the depth of lore is rather shallow with this. They can't really explore too much more than the base game laid out - a bunch of terrorists infected money! We know what the world was like, we see how it is and we know where the enemies come from too and to a degree, their 'history'. Its not like Destiny which has a lot of depth even if the game is very light on this.
I am waiting to see how the free content changes the game and end content. I have little to no interest in the Dark Zone in its current state and it seems that the DLC content is focussed more on 'squad' based play - including the free stuff. One of them, 'Underground' maybe more suited to Solo players.
As a 3rd Person Shooter, I think its 'mechanics' are OK - average would be a better word - there are definitely better 3rd Person Shooter games. The 'loot' is handled better than Destiny's as its instantaneous (apart from the Dark Zones) and doesn't require you to travel to an area to decrypt. Destiny's 'dual' loading screens - 1 to get to orbit and another to get to the Tower is annoying. I do think that the 'loot' itself though is 'slightly' better in Destiny - the Armour at least can make people look different. I know there is more customisation on the weapons - different grips, mags etc but Destiny's are more 'unique' in many ways and the 'perks' can affect the weapons in the same way as attachments. I don't think Trading when it comes will 'add' to the experience - if anything its more likely to take away from it. Earning the Vex, Nechrochasm or getting Gjallahorn etc felt great and getting the Raid gear/weapons felt special. You knew just by looking that a player had beaten the hardest content - not traded/bought it!
As I said, I am waiting to see how this game evolves and waiting for the inevitable price drop. The story and side quests are not 'great' but I can overlook that for the right price. If the 'end game' is improved - more than just repeating missions with extra health bullet sponge enemies or DZ, then that may tempt me sooner rather than later.
I know Destiny gets a lot of stick but as a FPS, its mechanics are excellent and fun. Bounties, quests etc are generally available daily and character development is better too - 9 classes with a lot of unlocks and differences in how they play. The Raids are by far the best co-operative experience in gaming.
Its still early days for the Division. Many of my friends are already bored with it - something a lot of them didn't feel with Destiny. There was always content to strive for - some elusive Exotic, gear to upgrade, bounties to complete etc. Hopefully the Division can add content to maintain interest and keep people coming back.
Beat the story, I'll come back when they pop out an expansion.
Like a lot of games, the idea of it was a lot more exciting than the reality. I didn't bite and am quite glad at the moment. I bit with Destiny and sank a lot of hours into it, but abandoned it over the TTK pricing issue. That has taught me to wait it out and see. So far, the story seems to be that the end game isn't up to much, so I will look at it again in a few months.
I played the closed and open beta and never felt the story hooked me. I am tired of games if their isn't a story or the game mechanics are just ok. I love battlefront for the great pick up and play spot on mechanics even without a story. I love the uncharted series for the great story character development and the gameplay mechanics are very good and world is so beautiful. I think Uncharted 4 will have a great story and even greater gameplay mechanic than all the other uncharted games. Division has nothing about it that is great. The bosses in the beta and the gangs were boring and predictable in their behavior. Division will wear thin quickly.
I'm glad I didn't but division after playing the beta and watching video reviews and reading reviews.
I'm still playing because I actually like the story missions but I'm interested to see what happens after I complete that and find the collectibles that flesh out some of the story. I'm hoping there's expansions for solo players but it's sounding like there might not be.
Yep over 130 hours now, will get the platinum tonight - fantastic game, hope they keep the updates coming thick and fast and build off what's already there because its great (imo ofc).
Play it every day. About 60 hours in
I've seen about 8 short videos of this game being shared from various people. Each one shows the game breaking in a different way. That's the main highlight apparently. Hasn't exactly sold it to me as a must buy.
This guy went rogue and took down 20 agents.

Funny. Just bought it today, can't wait to start playing this, once it downloaded =P
I'm still loving everything about it
As always I'm waiting for it to hit the 28 quid mark , can't wait though as haven't met anyone yet in my taxi who doesn't love it.
Nah got too many other great games to keep me busy until the real games drop! (Ratchet & Uncharted)
The game is well made but the setting is just... dull. I finished all the main story missions and a bunch of side stuff but have no inclination to keep playing for better loot or cosmetic items.
after being kicked by ubisoft servers 3 times today once after 2 hours of playing NO its back in the box gong to be traded in
