Destiny's long awaited April Update is finally deploying tomorrow, and to round up all of the information that it's spilled over the last few weeks, Bungie's released a trailer that details just about everything that you need to know with regards to the incoming patch.
It's no real secret that the sci-fi shooter has lagged for several months now after many players exhausted the game's last expansion, The Taken King. And with new heavy hitters like The Division arriving on the scene, Bungie's clearly trying to tempt players back into the fray with this update - and to be fair, we'd be lying if we said that all of this new stuff wasn't piquing our interest.
The question is, are you up for more Destiny? Will you be checking out the April Update? Grab some special ammo and let loose in the comments section below.

I never had any love and quit after level twenty, but I had lots of friends that played nothing else, I haven't seen any of them once be back on destiny in recent months
Destiny and Bungie can shove it. I hope they take a long look at themselves before they even attempt to make another one of these awful boring time wasters.
Not enough for me with so many other games to play. Prison of Elders was boring...putting Taken in there won't change that.
I think this game would have been so much better with singleplayer with online coöp the lore was nice enough.
Nope, they took too long with no information given, and continue to Ignor their community. They have lied about micros, over and over again, and if you think the infusion system wasn't changed to the way it will be tomorrow to increase those 3 armor sets you can buy sales well I've got this bridge for sale. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed destiny up until a few months after ttk came out. I defended it in so many ways seeing the promise that it holds, but I've given up. Sure it helps that there is something else my friends and I can enjoy together now, but we gave bungie every last opportunity to implement things it's community have been begging for since launch (except trading and matchmaking for raids, that's just daft imo for destiny). When pve suffers because of a constant imbalance in the pvp world, and they have had ample opportunity to correct that by introducing pvp specific armor and weapon sets that could be nerfed/buffedseparately, along with talent trees that could have been reworked for pvp/pve builds, it's just maddening. Before I go off on a tangent I will stop. I wish I wasn't walking away but I think it's for good. I will instead enjoy day 1 of incursions before I sink my teeth into dark souls.
Not for me Bungie I'm afraid. I quit just before TTK, as I thought they were ripping the p*ss out of their customer base. Too much other stuff on the horizon to get back into Destiny now.
I will jump in at some point - like the Aesthetics of the new Exotic Sniper but don't like the PS exclusive armour and sparrow. Not got a lot on in terms of 'new' games - at least not until May 10th but will have new DLC next week in BO3.
I can;t say I am overly impressed by the content but its better than nothing...
I didn't start playing Destiny until a couple months ago but my experience has been very positive. My only complaint is that there's TOO much to do and it starts to feel repetitive. I guess that's the MMO aspect. I just wish Bungie would make an FPS with a very solid, memorable campaign that lasts 12 hours but is fun to replay.
Destiny's dead, Battleborn CooP is what destiny should of been, great beta.
Good luck with that, Dark Souls, Ratchet and Clank then a certain Nathan Drake suggest I won't be playing this again any time soon. Then when I finish with that little lot I'll have an entire universe to explore with No Mans Sky, so I'm sorry Bungie I won't be back but give me a call when you make a sequel
Incursions tomorrow in The Division, so no thanks. Don't think the disc has been out of my PS4 since launch, its just so good.
@Swiket exactly. Worst. Release. date. Ever.
I love how a lot of people claim they won't go back to destiny, but will definitely be picking up the sequel. Really? What a waste of money. Most gamers today seem to be immune from repeating their past mistakes when it comes to buying a game that they'll burn out on two weeks after it launches.
IF Dark Souls doesn't arrive tomorrow I'll give this a go. Matchmaking on lvl 41 PoE is a big plus for me.
Can we just make Destiny 2 now please Bungie? D1 is done, finished, over.
I'll certainly be playing the new story missions, might try and gear up a little too. Decent enough free update tbh, little more frequent would be nice though.
I love Destiny, it's been my favourite game of this gen but, I've had enough of Destiny 1. Bungie should just drop it and focus on 2.
No developer should expect there game to be played so much after nearly 2 years, no matter how many DLC's or content updates they drop. Give people a break from it and let them comeback when there not reusing the same sh*t over and over again.
yeah more enemies with slightly different shader, great
I'll be giving it a whirl soon. Still the best FPS out there for me.
It's free, and The Division bored me and made me miss Destiny so... Yeah.
Ok am I the only one that thinks a lot of that trailer isn't "new" stuff but just old stuff being updated?!, and bring year one items over is just again them stressing as they can see the numbers dieing off!! Is there even match making for all the stuff yet?!?! Or do I have to keep going off and using apps and websites, what a Joke!!
Just read through all the comments and they reflect my feelings - ultimately it's more of the same, just another variation on gear / weapon / enemy type.
Underneath it all is the flabby and ugly flesh and bones of what could have been a fabulous story. No amount of dressing up and accessories can hide the fact that with no strong underlying story to grab us from the start, we were always just running around shooting stuff. Much as I loved doing that for quite a while, I moved on when I started to see the sameness behind it all.
Fixing the options of light levelling is a great idea too late. I had great expectations for Destiny and I wished this update did offer something to take me back but sadly it didn't.
I am looking forward to the new stuff.
For me Destiny is one of the best Shooters.
"More of the same"? Yes, like FIFA, COD and others do all the time and no one complains.
I would like to have more planets etc. but I cannot complain after having fun for more than 300h ... thats much more as bigger RPGs provide.
I will probably jump back somehow and somewhere with my clan in the following days, just to see what's new. But with the Division update and Dark Souls 3, I will not have so much time to dedicate to Destiny....
The update couldn't come soon enough. I'm ready.
I actually only bought the base game Destiny for around £15 then sold it for £10. I had fun with gameplay but thought there wasn't enough outside of strikes but now with all the customisation, bountys, quests etc It's really looking good, if I can get all of this for one price I'd definitely like to jump back in.
Oh Bungie,
I had fun the first times i played destiny, i played with friends who bought the game...then i bought the dark below....which was so underwhelming i felt like i had thrown 20 bucks down the drain...i finally bought house of wolces and taken king....and wow did you underwhelm me bungie....whew! My friends abandoned the series and i cant blame them....all u have in store is repetition and more lonely gameplay...cuz your communication system sucks BAD....check out the division, far fromn perfect, is an mmo experience, i can socialize with people in destiny not really...seriously bungie, you lost me for destiny 2, the lack of care you put in the first one left me burned and i wont forget
