Starting 7th June, you'll be able to download the sixth entry in Telltale Games' Minecraft: Story Mode series. With the title 'A Portal to Mystery', the game will look to continue the game's post-Witherstorm narrative arc.
The episode sounds like it will continue the anthology-style of storytelling that the series is using as of the fifth episode, with the newest release set to be a murder mystery. A Portal to Mystery is the first of three additional episodes Telltale announced for Season 1 of Minecraft some months ago.
Additionally, five Minecraft YouTubers will be joining the cast of the game [Oh, joy! - Ed], essentially each getting to play themselves. These YouTubers include Stampy Cat, Stacy Plays, DanTDM, LDShadowLady, and Captain Sparklez.
While we don't think Minecraft: Story Mode is particularly good – we'd go so far as to call it rubbish – the anthology story approach that Telltale adopted with episode five definitely suits the property better. It's entirely possible that this new episode could be good – murder mysteries a la Clue can be a blast after all – but consider us sceptical.

I like DanTDM, my kids watch him and he doesn't curse, and Treyorus and Grimm are funnier than the M:SM episodes I've heard my kids watching on Youtube - why would anyone pay for them?
After Story Mode I wouldn't mind seeing TT take on Dr. Who. Dr. Who in Lego form would be even better. There's no new Dr. Who for all of 2016, well except a Xmas special at the end of the year, would have been a good time for a game.
@rjejr This year is only the Christmas special?!?!?!? That's the first I've heard of that, and now I'm kind of sad. I agree though, Doctor Who Telltale style could be really cool! Especially given that the number of possible stories in that universe are pretty much limitless!
And if nothing else, it sounds like the Youtubers that were selected are at least a good fit? This game has definitely closer to a kid friendly side, so it sounds like that's going to continue.
@gbanas92 BBC said they were skipping Dr. Who in 2016 due to the Olympics and one of the big football/soccer tournaments. I don't know which one, seems to me like they have one every year. I don't think they've given a new start date yet, but I'd bet around April.
I just started season 6 on Sunday so I'm good. Amazon gets season 9 later this year so I should just catch up on time, 12 years later.
I really enjoyed the first five episodes, not Telltale's best work but enjoyable never the less. Have they announced pricing yet? I just got an error from the store.
@Cron_13 Yes! Same price Telltale usually goes with. $4.99 for just episode 6 or $14.99 if you wanted to buy all 3 new ones up front!
@rjejr Ohhhh that makes sense for skipping this year at least. Ah well. Hopefully not too much longer than April! And oh yeah, you definitely have plenty of time to catch up then haha.
Surprised that Pew Die Pi isn't appearing in the game, but then again I don't think he plays Minecraft.
I did try the first episode and I wasn't that keen on it, it's fine for the kids and the fans.
