Watch Dogs 2 is undoubtedly going to be on show at E3 next month, but we wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft was planning on teasing the reveal before the big event kicks off. With that in mind, it was perhaps only a matter of time before something leaked - and so here we are, speculating over this iconic cap wearing gentleman.
Spotted by NerdLeaks over on Twitter, the image that we've embedded originally appeared on the Instagram account of a motion capture performer, who made it quite clear that the character model in question is supposedly the protagonist of Watch Dogs 2. Of course, the post has been deleted since.
So, what do we think of this guy? Based on first impressions, we're honestly not sure. Ubisoft seems obsessed with realistic character designs to a point where they sacrifice any kind of memorable look - and sometimes, they come across as trying way too hard to be hip and down with the kids. We'll withhold judgement until we actually play the game, but hey, it shouldn't be too hard to top Aiden Pearce, right? Right?
How do you think he looks? Interesting? Boring as heck? Travel back to a time when wristbands were fashionable in the comments section below.

PLEASE NO!!!!!! Enough with the hipster douche eyewear!!
Hmm, not so sure, it looks like my Eri sprite could kick his butt.
Even though Watch Dogs didn't reach the heights of GTA, I still had fun with it, looking forward to the sequel.
Im actually really digging this design. I genuinely enjoyed the first despite its flaws so Im excited to see how this will turn out.
What's everyones problem with Aiden Pearce and the actual game? I've never played it but the gameplay trailers before it came out seemed pretty cool and with good ideas etc. Worth spending a fiver and 10 hours on it?
Let's hope this will be like assassin's creed with the 2nd installment blowing away the majority. To me the driving was atrocious on the first watch dogs that I never played after the first session. Whether it got patched or not I don't know but I'll play it again eventually.
@BowTiesAreCool
The game itself was pretty good, worth a pickup, but Aiden Pearce himself was rather unlikable........he just lacked charisma or any deep character traits.
Not quite as effortlessly cool as Solid Snake now, is he?
Pierce wasn't that great but loved the dlc . hopefully the new guy was more spunk or it could Aiden pierce ? Can't really see the guys face ha
@BowTiesAreCool Nothing's wrong with Aidan Pearce, or the game. They're just a bit bland when people expected a lot more. The hacking is basic, and you climb towers to open up the map and get side missions like AC. It's a decent open world game, but it came out at a time when people were getting frustrated with the genre.
I realy enjoyed Watch Dogs I do agree the hacking was a bit too easy but apart from that it was a fun game and the world seemed quite big. The DLC was decent as well. If they make the hacking a bit harder for the sequel I will be happy. Definatly worth £10 I paid full price and was not dissapointed. As for the new character looks ok to me.
@Wesker I enjoyed the way Aidan's jacket blew around when he rode a motorbike but I gotta say beyond that it did nothing for me
I quite liked the first one I wonder how there are going to try and top the first game? They need to keep being invaded by other players, that was pretty smart being invaded & invading someone else's game.
I loved Watch Dogs and never had any problem with Aiden Pierce. To be honest I'm quite dissapointed he's not in the sequel...Still can't wait for it though!
I didn't think it was possible to create a worse protagonist than Aiden Pearce. I was wrong.
@kyleforrester87 The threads and swag were bang on. I would love an Aiden Pierce Yellow and Black jacket long coat thingy.
I wonder if Aiden will appear at all.... I thought he was alright. They started the franchise with him as the lead, so it'd be weird to just get rid of him completely.
I think the design is good... sort of How I imagine real life hacker looks like...
Should have gone with an ironic cap this time round
Is there a first person mode so I don't have to look at him? Seriously I'll just get the guy shot for reminding me of Justin Bieber.
My only concern is that Ubisoft have no idea how to make an open world. Visit tower/notice board/safe house to unlock nearby side missions, of which there'll be around 5 types and these will be repeated many times. After completing them literally nothing will ever happen again in that part of the city/island/forest.
Watch Dogs was a good game trapped in poor design, the new and unique tools we were given which should have given us a lot of room for improvisation, instead for the most part we were forced to use them when the game wanted us to.
I bought Watchdogs on release but sold it a few days later. The most fun I had was controlling bollards to pop up to cause pile ups because it reminded me of classic Burnout.
Meh bit of a basic character design, I should think you could either create your own hacker or this is a wannabe hacker causing problems for whoever the protagonist in Watch Dogs 2 is.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Couldn't agree more. Aiden Pearce was possibly my least fav character in any game ever!
It says #WatchDogs2 on the photo so yes it is.
No long coat! Lame...
I must be the only person who liked Aiden. I didn't mind him. His partner would have made a better main character though.
