£55 for Overwatch digitally on PS4 in the UK... or £41 with exchange rates if you use a US PSN account and do it that way... gg.
@Cron_13 £55 for the digital edition???? the special edition with a coin and a badge is only £45 on Amazon and the standard edition is only £40
it's stupid that digital editions still cost SO much more than physical when they don't even have to cover manufacturing and distribution costs
@FullbringIchigo @Cron_13 Yeah, it's very disappointing. The kind of game I'd want to buy digitally, too - but it's just too expensive.
@get2sammyb definitely, its something you'd drop in and out of every now and then for a few games, so nice not to have to bother changing the disc... Holding off the US PSN purchase route but must admit I'm tempted.
@FullbringIchigo totally agree FB
@Cron_13 @get2sammyb if they want Digital to be the preferred medium then they have to make it enticing and reasonable
i think the main problem is the lack of competition, if you want to buy a game digitally on PS4 you have to use the PS Store where as the physical version is sold in MANY places so the price is driven down in order to entice you to buy it form a particular retailer, why would a publisher charge a lower price if you couldn't get it anywhere else at a lower price
Ridiculous seeing as a PC copy is £29.99 according to the website (digital, I think). Why console's digital stores sell their games for RRP when physical special editions are cheaper is beyond me.
Played the beta for Overwatch on PC, and really quite enjoyed it. A lot of variety in the characters. Enjoyed playing as Widowmaker.
To change the subject, Downwell is a fantastic little game. It's only £3.99 too. Well worth a go.
