Channelling its best Reinhardt impression, Overwatch has swatted Uncharted 4: A Thief's End from the top of the UK sales charts. Naughty Dog's impressive action adventure was frozen in second place by Mei, while the popular FPS used Widowmaker's rifle to get a good view from the summit. Word of mouth kept DOOM in third position, while Homefront: The Revolution stuck around in fourth.
Outside of that, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and the evergreen Ratchet & Clank hung on to fifth and sixth respectively, as FIFA 16, Tom Clancy's The Division, and Grand Theft Auto V rounded out the top ten. New release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan got a pizza the action in 18th place. And that's all she wrote this week!

when you think about it Uncharted 4 is still selling really well when it took a MULTI-PLATFORM game released on 3 systems to knock a PS4 exclusive off the top of the list
@FullbringIchigo Yup. In terms of single formats, Uncharted 4 (PS4) outsold Overwatch (Xbox One) as well.
They've even painted a pretty huge poster featuring Tracer (based on the game's box art) on a building in Melbourne. Not as cool as the three statues but still pretty amazing.
I must admit I a surprised that Uncharted 4 is still holding off a lot of the multi-platform releases. Its no surprise that Overwatch managed to take top spot this week - it seems a lot of people like it. I had thought that the PS4 version would have had a better than 11% higher sales over the XB1 considering it has double the user base...
@BAMozzy Uncharted 4 is still being advertised like crazy here in the UK to be fair. Also, PS4 doesn't have double the userbase in the UK - it's much closer than that. It's the global lead that's double.
@get2sammyb I admit that I have seen a fair few U4 adverts but I have seen more Overwatch adverts of late. I guess I am not surprised that the biggest contender for GotY this year and a PS 'must have' is still selling well but I thought it would be one of those that sells very well on release and drops because so many have it. With other games selling on other platforms, I thought this would drop down into the middle on the top 10. What surprised me is that Doom didn't overtake it with the positive reviews that received - I got the impression that people were waiting for reviews because the MP beta was a bit hit and miss - turns out that reviewers in general weren't that keen on the MP but the campaign was quite well reviewed. I see R&C sold more than Doom on the XB1. What surprises me though is that BO3 holds 5th yet was 13th and 16th individually on consoles yet the Division was 12th and 15th. Warhammer was 8th individually. I notice that Battleborn dropped quickly (33 and 39).
I don't know what the split is terms of consoles in the UK in truth - does it differ by 11%? I know the PS4 is blitzing the XB1 in Japan (unsurprisingly) and I wouldn't be surprised if it has a very healthy lead in the states either. Maybe that's why games like the Division, GTAv and Fallout 4 sold more on XB1 in the UK - even Halo 5 managed to sell more than BO3 on any individual console - don't know why, its probably the worst Halo.
I just saw an U4 ad here but nothing for Overwatch or any other game.
Uncharted will be a evergreen seller throughout the summer, and no doubt Sony will market it like crazy at Christmas.
@PlaytendoGuy Agreed. The game's going to post big numbers by the end of the gen.
@get2sammyb The sales for Overwatch don't seem anything to shout about, when you consider on PS4 it could have only just outsold Uncharted 4 in its 3rd week. Great news for Ratchet and Clank and hopefully this leads to more of these types of games (Crash?) and Doom is the best FPS I've played for over 10 years
