This is quite interesting, we suppose. According to a newly released trailer, FIFA 17 will have a full story mode dubbed The Journey, complete with cutscenes which will feature your own custom player. Okay, so maybe it's a bit cheesy, and some of the character models are rather strange looking, but having a much more involved single player mode could be a lot of fun.
We'll no doubt be hearing more details about The Journey later tonight when EA's press conference kicks off, but until then, let us know if you're about to sign a new contract in the comments section below.

Finally I can realise my dream of playing for Burton Albion's first team.
Not much point in watching the conference with all the stuff that's leaking.
Just please don't be like NBA 2k16. It was a good idea but it felt like a chore. Or at least have a normal career separate.

The dream of my life... The journey from League 2 to the Champions' League final or something like that...
I'm not sure if this is an evolution of 'Create a Pro' or whether it's a standalone mode where I play as Alex Hunter, I guess we'll have to wait and see?
Interesting. I used to play FIFA a lot back when I was younger, but I just find it difficult to get back to playing sports games again. Perhaps this could change that? Eh, we'll see.
Think you might need to update the article, it's not a custom player it's an already created player namer Alex Hunter. And it's only premier league team so no Burton Albion for you @get2sammyb
I'm excited. I was going to make 16 my first FIFA but I'm glad I waited.
