The elaborately named Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will launch worldwide in December, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. Square Enix confirmed the date as part of a new trailer, while also stating that the compilation – which includes a remastered version of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance – will be playable at E3 2016.
The video includes a ton of footage, including a section featuring Aqua – an original Keyblade wielder – in an all-new sequence taken from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, which is also included in the bundle. This storyline will allegedly help to preview the events from the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts III.

The trailer is amazing and also first time Worldwide release for a KH game it just keeps getting better
@SKC_Diamond i know right Square are getting a lot better at releasing everywhere now
well apart from Rise of the Tomb Raider, still can't pre-order that in the UK yet
Looks cool even though I've got Kingdom Hearts Triple D, I'll get it
That sequence with Aqua made me gasp out loud. That looks so beautiful.
I'm even more hyped now
Looking amazing! Back Cover looks like a darn movie!
This looks pretty interesting. May have to pick up these HD remixes and get back into the series. What are the chances 3 will be on the PS4?
@Ellysetta19 it's already confirmed for PS4 so it's not matter of if but when... I'm hoping for 2017 but it may be 2018... some people think it may be longer than that but I don't think so
Waiting for that sweet ass collector's edition! C'mon Square Enix, you know you wanna! I. Must. Have. One.
@DualWielding Thanks for that tidbit of info. Must of forgotten or completely missed it. Well if its 2017 or 2018, it'll be plenty of time to catch up with the series! Though for your sake, I hope its 2017! ;p
I have Chain of Memories on Gameboy Advance, 358/2 Days and Re:Coded on DS, and Dream Drop Distance on 3DS.
I've never heard of the others in this collection though. Were they PSone/PS2 or PSP games?
And gosh darn it where's the 1.5 Collection port? I can't have 2.8 without 1.5!!
@JaxonH Well, you may as well get 1.5 for PS3. Got one myself recently, so happy about it! Waiting for a promotion or temporary price drop on any trustworthy retailer online for 2.5
@LawRulesALL
No PS3. Sold that long ago. Besides, I have all 3 current gen consoles hooked up- even with the HDMI switcher, I still wouldn't have room for another console (especially since I'll be making room for NX and PSVR soon too)
@JaxonH Fair enough, I think... But I wonder if Squenix will ever release a port of the 2 PS3 collections on the PS4. Don't think it's likely. Should have played that while you still had the console. Wait for them to realease on PS Now (if they haven't already) and sign up for it, it's something at least.
OMG... o.o please... come fast december
