We consider the opinion of you, the readers, just as important as our own here at Push Square Towers, which is why we like to amplify your comments, engage with you in the forums, and – of course – let you pick our E3 2016 Game of the Show. As has been the case for a few years now, we're letting you select your favourite, rather than telling you what we think.
There's one rule, though: you must select from our hand-picked shortlist which includes 25 of the highest impact games that are either playable on the show floor or appeared in one of the five major press conferences. We have included "concept" announcements like Spider-Man and Death Stranding, but we'd encourage you to bias your vote towards titles with gameplay.
That said, this is your opportunity to determine our winner – everyone has the same voting power, including those on the Push Square payroll. The poll will remain open until 12:30PM BST tomorrow, so you've got just about 24 hours from the time of publishing to determine your winner. In the unlikely event of a tie, then the Push Square editorial team will determine a winner.
What's it going to be, then? Are you hyped for the rich open world of Horizon: Zero Dawn? Has the revival of God of War left you grinning like an ex-Greek god? Has Watch Dogs 2 hacked its way into your heart? You've got one vote, so use it wisely – the full shortlist is embedded below. May the best video game win!
The poll's now closed. Thanks everyone for voting.

Days Gone has to be my vote. At first I thought it was TLoU 2 because of the setting. But hey a new zombie game is alright with me.
I vote for motorcycles, lots of great looking games there though.
Honestly, I think Zelda trumped them all, with Sea of Thieves in second place. Having said that, all things considered, I think Sony had the strongest overall showing.
I voted for Horizon: Zero Dawn. Guerrilla silenced any concerns regarding whether it's an actual RPG, but more importantly, the combat looks dense and extremely entertaining.
Motorcycles are awesome but I went for Resident Evil 7. I wonder if you'll fight a mutated Wesker at the centre of a volcano in this instalment.
Sea of Thieves looks amazing. If only I had a group of friends to play it with.
@kyleforrester87 Somehow, I'm going to guess not.
@get2sammyb oh mannnn!!
Tough to pick just one but Horizon: Zero Dawn gets my vote. Love the setting and it looks like the combat will be a lot of fun.
Biggest disappointment was thinking for a second they were going to show Driveclub VR and instead it was the end of the Final Fantasy trailer, where you apparently use the power of VR to leer at girls in cars.
i voted for FFXV but i also want to say, South Park The Fractured But Whole, Resident Evil 7, God of War 4, Persona 5, NieR Automata and Spider-Man
also an Honourable Mention to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, not a PS4 game i know but man does that game look fantastic
Lots of great games this year, but my vote went to PErsona 5, can't wait for it!
Quake Hero's is my most wanted,Its rumored to appear on PS4 later at least..Other than that BF1 i think.
Just a quick note here: can we stick to the topic of PlayStation games rather than going off on rants about Nintendo or Xbox titles, please. I'm not saying that you can't mention games you liked that aren't on PS4, but if you could all just keep focused on what we're trying to do with this article then that'd be best.
THANKS.
Yeah, Zelda looks absolutely amazing.
Anyway, I voted for TLG, Horizon comes in at a close second place and I really liked what I saw of Days Gone, although I'd love to know a little more about that game first.
I voted for Horizon Zero Dawn, but only because I need to see a bit more for Days Gone.
I have to go with South Park......I'm sorry, lol, Horizon would be my second choice.
I voted Horizon: Zero Dawn because its the game I want most from the E3. The new trailer showed a lot more of what the game will be, the crafting, the combat etc. The game-play just made me want it more - it was already my most anticipated...
Days Gone was my favourite new reveal and a game I will be watching closely. It was the biggest surprise of E3 in terms of games for me and loved the way the tension built - going from the Last of Us (inc Music) vibe to a WorldWarZ vibe
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Normally I'd go with Persona 5 but it didn't have a big presence there. So I went with Battlefield 1. I can't wait to play that multiplayer and the campaign has to be good right? I mean, look at the setting!
@ShogunRok Who's ranting?
Mafia III, without a doubt.
Lots of great looking games on show but Horizon got my vote.
I was so impressed it Kratos' return. GoW for me followed by For Honor which is moving up my want list fast.
Gow got my vote but Horizon very nearly did.
Looking forward to most of that list tho!
I want to vote a lot of games, but to me the only one that is certain to be amazing is Persona 5.
I still have faith in Final Fantasy XV.
I really wanted to vote for skylanders, but I couldn't
I love God of War but I'm cautious about the new direction. I love the gameplay and the character and feel like SSM/Sony wanted to appease a certain vocal group in powerful positions. I can do without the sex scenes, just don't take the epic larger than life boss battles that make God of War, God of War. The game looks great and the live demo was very enjoyable I just feel like the gameplay is going to get a serious downgrade (dedicated button for the son?).
So had to go with Resident Evil 7 with that VR support. I was very impressed by the demo & must have played it about 10 times trying to get alternative endings (axe, finger?). Its really the first mainstream game that will actually be playable in VR and I hope it makes other developers take notice and follow suit. Also the further away we get from Resi 6 the better.
I am voting Horizon cause I cannot vote Zelda here Second place goes to the Crash remake. As much as I hate remasters, at least these are not PS3 ones and those are the only Crash games I care about. Third goes to the Spiderman which looks promising.
I voted for God of War. Horizon: Zero Dawn is a super exciting title and I can't wait to play it, but God of War's reveal was outstanding and it really grabbed my attention. It's a given that it looks good, but I'm more impressed by the bold new direction Santa Monica is steering this instalment with the father and son dynamic. Kratos is finally evolving as a character, and has more light and shade in that ten minute demo than in any previous GoW. The series can finally move on, and the Norse setting offers a lot of potential for set pieces and amazing bosses.
So many worthy choices on that list, though! We're being spoiled
Sorry jumping on the Zelda train but honestly most games for the Sony one looked so good.
@get2sammyb I picked Spider-Man but horizon zero dawn is the most impressive game for now since it's coming out much sooner. Sony won E3 cause it has the games I want but it also showed most games we want see for 2-3 yrs like GOW, days gone, Spider-Man and Detroit.
Hopefully Sony has more great games up it sleeve to come out and revealed sooner at another conference. At least The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, GT sport, Persona 5 and Nioh are coming out soon.
@Fight_Teza_Fight I couldn't figure out what to do with the manican figure and I didn't find a axe either. I played the non VR demo from psn store.
@Ewflex without spoiling too much you can find a certain item in the VHS portion of the demo that can be used to affect the present to get the axe. However I don't know what it's used for, but it must have a purpose. Didn't know what to do with a manicans either. I'll wait for someone smarter to figure that one out
Easy one for me I love the look of Horizon and it's my most anticipated game, the combat looks very engaging, I like the main character and I can't wait to explore that beaut8world. Other than that South Park looks hilarious and as I'm a bit of a comic book geek and a big fan of the show it looks like they made a game just for me, so much so I've already bought it so I can play Stick of Truth again. There are so many great games to choose from but I guess Resident Evil 7 would round out my top 3, I haven't particular liked where the series has gone in the last few installments but if that seriously creepy demo is anything to go by we're in for a treat and VR compatible too. All these mentions of Zelda been the best game but I can't agree, the trailer was dull and the world looks needlessly big and empty, having said that I watched some actual game play and it does look very good so it would be in my top 5 alongside the wonderfully stylised Persona 5.
The funny thing is I could make another list of at least 5 games I haven't even me tinned and it would still leave me very excited to play them, PS4 has really hit it's stride now
My head said Days Gone, my Heart said Spiderman but my backside said South park so that is what I went with. The trailer was just perfectly pitched and I love all things South Park related. Plus the name... all about the name.
This is a tough choice, but I went for Resi 7 purely because of how unexpected it was, along with a complete change in perspective and gameplay approach.
But alongside that it would be God of War, South Park, Last Guardian, For Honor and Detroit.
God of War made me cry happy tears so yeah not a tough choice.
I'm excited for a lot of these (The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona being my tops), but since were just talking about the E3 presentation I have to go with South Park, a lot of the others were more known quantities where South Park showed off a bit more than just another trailer. Although if we were expanding to non-Sony titles Zelda easily takes the prize.
God of war.days gone.mafia 3.horizon zero dawn.Spider-Man.watch dogs 2.dishonored 2
@RawShark No one, yet, but I thought I'd get in early.
Father of War. I was so done w/ that series after GoW 3, never even thought about playing Awakening, but here I am wanting to play GoW again more than any other game at E3. And camera control makes me happy.
Has to be God of War!! Playing all of them again chronologically just now. Finished Ascension and Chains of Olympus, now on GoW HD BUT hit a gamebreaking bug at the Atlas statue!!! Hope new one keeps a similar combo system. . . some people say its a stale formula but don't think i'll ever get bored of it!!!
It's so hard to pick just one out of a fantastic line up!I went to pick Horizon zero dawn, then moved to Resident Evil but gave in and settled on Days Gone.but seriously,I want nearly all of these
@ShogunRok Did you write #14 before or after my long rant? I've kind of lost track of time, E3 always does that to me.
For the record, I wrote my post above before reading your comment. The title and point of the article seemed pretty on focus. But you are WELCOME just the same.
1) Gravity Rush 2
2) Resident Evil 7
3) Persona 5
4) Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
5) Horizon: Zero Dawn
I might pick up GoW when it hits bargain bin prices.
Maybe I've missed something here, but what happened to Take Two being at E3 in 'a big way' as they said they would? Other than Mafia III I don't remember seeing anything from them. Was really hoping for a RDR2 reveal isappointed:
@Fight_Teza_Fight first of all, I didn't think the demo was scary. I am not sure I will like Re 7 and it's because I want it in 3rd person but With the claustrophobic camera of RE 4.
I found the new item from the vhs part which had something to do with getting upstairs. I saw at least 2 endings. I just don't know where a axe would be or the use of the manican finger. It really doesn't matter since non of this will be in the game. I have a feeling since this is coming early next yr this will be a very short game which I'm not sure I will like. I'm not all that excited the direction RE7 is going. I thought it was silly how in the vhs tape you couldn't walk with the tall dude when he was abducted. I deliberately tried to follow him and it was a invisible Barrier to keep me from following him when they should have( for example)made me get hit over the head or something then he vanished.
Of course I pick the new god of war, if it can mix the gameplay of prior game with the story telling of the last of us then man we're going for a ride
@ShogunRok Nintendo fan and xbox fan are restless after seeing sony e3 (mostly xbox fan thought), I think zelda is going to be great, but after seeing gow, horizon, and spiderman I don't think I'm interested in it anymore. They're scouring the web ranting about who's won e3 and stuff.
@GraveLordXD It looks more Dark Souls to me from watching the trailer. Definitely a different direction for the combat.
@PaperyWhiteBoy There are some rumours that Red Dead Redemption 2 was pulled from Sony's press conference.
@get2sammyb Ah. Well, I guess that's kind of good news? At least it exists if that's true.
My favorite game was Horizon Zero Dawn with Gravity Rush 2 right behind it. Spider-Man would be my number 3. Honestly, there were just so many good games shown off that I wish we could have voted for 2 or 3 games. I'd expect the results to be a lot more interesting if that were the case.
Top 5 PS exclusive games were
1) Horizon Zero Dawn
2) Persona 5
3) Gravity Rush 2
4) God of War
5) Detroit
Has to be God of war at number 1, everything just looked so epic especially the first fight scene.
Horizon: Zero Dawn comes a close second as the overall game looks exciting to play unlike some other open world games.
The Last Guardian is my most anticipated game because of the 2 previous games. But Horizon was the game that E3 most hyped me for.
Horizon Zero dawn hands down. The world looks beautiful and combat seems very deep.
Has the potential to bebone of the best action rpg ever
Definitely RE7, was so bummed out Silent Hills got cancelled, this seems like a worthy replacement.
Spider-Man, Horizon, God of War 4, Resident Evil 7.
for me it was Redout
You need to have an option "not on the list".
Meanwhile, on Nintendolife, the poll reads "Was Zelda your favorite game of E3? Yes/No"
I've got Final Fantasy XV pre-ordered, but my vote went to Persona 5. The new footage shown was much better than any new stuff for FFXV.
Voted for horizon because i'm dutch and so is guerilla games. Second place has to be persona 5. 3. Days gone
4. Gravity rush 2 ( played the first one on vita, really need to buy the remaster.)
5. God of war! I really hated kratos but loved the gameplay itself. With this reveal im loving kratos.
Horizon Zero Dawn. Its my game of the show, two years in a row now. Also the new God of War game peaked my curiosity for the first time for the series, "RPG God of War" is something i can see myself playing.
mine is not on there I would have picked the remasters of crash 1 2 and 3 but as they are not mine would be Horizon or Mass Effect but there did not show enough of Mass Effect
so its Horizon Zero Dawn
Just watched a video from the PlayStation Access team about an underwater game ,think it was called Abzu . It would have got my vote if in the list as most interesting looking but out of those 17 sequels I do love Battlefield so that gets my vote . Wish I got the whole God of War thing but I just never enjoyed them but I can see I'm the odd one out around these parts ! Enjoyed the Resident Evil demo , definitely interested in that.
A lot of great games showcased this year. But if I'm going off actually hands on time, my fave has to be Battlefield 1. It was everything the trailer depicted and not only that, I was able to snag no. 1 spot on the winning side
I hate to admit it, but Infinite Warfare blew me away. I didn't expect that from them.
Although I voted Horizon Zero Dawn, what I wanted to vote is Zelda.
Really tough one! My top five would have been...
1. The Last Guardian
2. Persona 5
3. Death Stranding
4. Resident Evil VII
5. Probably Spider-Man, with honourable mentions to Detroit, South Park, NieR and God of War!
Impossible to choose Every PS4 Exclusive looked ace
The Last Guardian. Beautiful trailer and finally a release date.
