July's PlayStation Plus offering has been outed and the dust has settled - it's time to tell us if you're satisfied. This month's PlayStation 4 selection includes the brand new Furi - which we just reviewed through here - Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, and early access to Paragon. Elsewhere, PlayStation 3 gets Fat Princess and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, while Vita nabs Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines and Prince of Persia: Revelations.
Okay, so outside of the current-gen grouping it's not exactly the strongest lineup that we've seen, but we'd imagine that most of you reading this are primarily here for Sony's latest system. In any case, with the formalities out of the way, we invite you to vote in our polls and tell us what you think of July's picks in the comments section below.

One thing worth mentioning is that the range of genres this month is superb. There should be something for everyone this month, regardless of what sort of games you're into. Indie games, check, MMO, check, FPS, check, RPG, check, action-adventure... You get the idea.
Another perk Plus members get is Killstrain a week early.
@RawShark The problem is they are spread out over this generations console, last generations console, and a struggling handheld.
So to amend your statement, its got something for everyone assuming that:
A. you have the other devices
B. you want to play on those devices.
If the selection was playable on any of the devices (say, the PS4 had BC, or these were cross-buy, etc...) then it would be a pretty decent selection (as many of the months would have been), but I care nothing about last generation and I hated playing games on the Vita.
I personally thought last month was better, but those games were more to my liking.
I had almost every single game last month already except NBA 2K (Couldn't play it as the music gave me a serious headache and I deleted from my hardrive.), so I'm pretty happy this month. Of course I am happy with it most months as I play online almost every day. Looking forward to Furi and Gat Outta Hell.
Looking forward to Saints Row. Would never pay for it but seems like a fun muck around game. Furi looks frustrating but I'll give it a go.
Its probably been nearly 6 months since I played a PS Plus game.I pay the money so I can play online if they stopped giving away games then I would not mind.
I'm pretty impressed with this line up,especially as June's was so bad (in my opinion) Furi looks pretty dull but I always give the Indies a go as there are a lot of good ones about. If I hadn't of already played Saints Row I'd be very excited as its alot of fun (rubbish compared to number 2 though )and Oreshika has been on my wish list for ages so..yay.
Best month of the year so far for me. Super excited to play Oreshika, and Furi looks like it could be interesting too, great to be able to try it as part of Plus.
@thedevilsjester to be honest, if you don't have all three systems I'd say the value of Plus drops sharply to the point where I'd say you wouldn't be getting as much out of it as you should. You're more likely to have something you like each month if you have all three. If you're anything like me you'll have amassed a library of games on each system by now and are pretty much set for life.
Re: the spread, I think it's quite heartening as Sony seem to have listened to critics who were exhausted by the monthly inclusion of indie side-scrollers or metroidvanias.
I do think that Indie games should be supported through PS Plus as they get the most benefit from being exposed to a wide audience. Ps Plus does also offer some good discounts on games as well so it is still worth it for me even if I am never playing the games they offer for free. If you shop around as well for membership deals you can often get a good discount on the normal £40 per year. I just payed £33 for the next year so a bargain.
PS+ is good value for money man, I still say the biggest mistake Sony made was not charging people from the start like MS did, PS+ player's were spoilt there and i'm happy with this month's selection for the PS4 I don't own a Vita and I don't wanna play on my PS3, but last month's were terrible for me personally (still worth £5 though).
I'll add them all but won't download or play as got to many games I really want to play that I own and also lack hardline space. So unless I loose my job and family and they add external hardrive support I guess I'll never play them. I haven't played a ps4 game excluding an hour if table top racing since injustice quite a while back.
Best PS+ selection for a long time. I was going to buy Furi now I don't need to. The other games I also want to check out
@thedevilsjester why hate on the vita?
It was only £50 or something ridiculous in Toys r us earlier this year. Its a great console and us Vita owners pay subs too.
Last year some of the selections were awful. Now we are getting AAA games and brand new indies people still moan. GET A GRIP ITS A £5 A MONTH.
Honestly I rarely play the free games I just redeem them and keep them in my library for down the road. My backlog is getting ridiculous.
This month ps plus is good, I plan to buy furi and I want to try saint row.
@RawShark I have/had all the Playstation systems, but I have zero desire to play games on last generations hardware. I recently got rid of my Vita and hope to get rid of my PS3s as soon as I finish cleaning up some old backlog, i absolutely dont want to drag that out.
@themcnoisy a few reasons. First is that its practically unusable. I have regular sizes hands and I cannot play it without occasionally touching the screen or touchpad (with the tiniest tip of a finger) causing no end of havoc in the games I play (not to mention that the rear touchpad is extremely sensative to sweaty hands, you get a tiny drop on it, and the touchpad will randomly act up even when not touching it, for hours after).
The second is that the game selection is pathetic compared to the 3DS. I kept hoping that this would change, because the Vita is so much more powerful, but the 3DS continued to get 5-10 great games for every 1 decent one i would get on the Vita. I am not a fan of Nintendo, I am a huge Sony fanboy, so this realization hurt a bit.
And finally, the UI, its just bad. It reminds me of the LeapPad UI. Not that the 3ds UI is much better...
I got the Vita on day one, and I really really hoped it would be awesome.
I dont bemoan the price of PS+, I have it for online saves and thats worth the price just for that, anything else is just icing.
This is the best offering for a while I am getting three games from this Furi and both the Vita ones.
Don't have a 3DS, don't care about it.
@dryrain I had so many nice indie games and i love the sales.
Does this mean we don't have to buy a deck for Paragon? I wanted to try it, but requiring the buying of that pack AFTER I downloaded what was labeled as a free game was pretty BS. Catfish marketing...
@thedevilsjester buy a grip, I'm 6ft with bigger than average hands. Don't get me wrong, its not perfect but loads better. The only problem with the grip I own is it sticks into the charge port.
As for games, well, yes the 3ds has humongous support. But the vita has access to loads of ps1 classics, psp games and all the vita stuff.
To summarise, the vita is unique enough and is still selling (although not very well) to warrant continued psplus support, The ps3 still has enough users and the last gen games will be dirt cheap to put on psplus anyway. So there's no issues really. Go buy another vita.
@RawShark Well, no sports titles, but we did just get NBA2K16 last month...
Oreshika is the only game I'm actively excited about, but I'll try the other PS4/Vita offerings, too.
I reckon it's time for PS+ to ditch one of the PS3 and Vita games to make a bigger budget for PS4 titles...
Meh, will probably delete the games as usual after playing for a while and seeing that they are rubbish.
Shovel Knight, ADIOS, Alienation, Knack, Killzone, Dariusburst,....etc are the quality of games I expect....they do make $800000000 a year on this....
@blah01 Knack. Quality?
@thedevilsjester to each their own. But people without hideous elephant man hulk hands like the vita just fine
@Majic12 that is true. And sports is a difficult genre to please everyone. For example Sky have their own channel for Formula 1 as F1 fans notoriously aren't keen on any other sports. US sports in Europe also gave incredibly niche audiences. And the much of the USA generally hates football/soccer. It's tricky.
Of course, if PlayStation had EA access they could leave the sorts to that and focus on everything else in PS+. Not saying that's what should happen, but some users would have appreciated the option.
@Constable_What was it standard commercial hip hop? I have the same issue with it. One of the reasons I only played 30 mins of saints row the third.
@UVUVYCTXUHIV I Platinumed it the only thing I hated was being invisible halfway in the game with the upgrades so stupid.
@blah01 800 000 000 where did you hear that? You must have a link or at least a viable source.
@RawShark
Well maybe not Knack, but you'd think they would have offered it by now. 😃

@themcnoisy I don't really understand your point. I dont consider rebuying PSP or PS1 classics, that I have already played my fill of when I bought them the first time as a reason to get a(nother) Vita. Nor do I think that adding a 3rd party grip to the Vita is a legitimate solution. I sold my Vita to Gamestop for a pittance and I was happy to do so. I hope that Sony tries again in the handheld market, but its too late for the Vita.
@RawShark and there are people that legitimately liked the VirtualBoy, or the Xbox's original controller. Outliers are just that. The market has spoken on the Vita, and most of the handheld world wants nothing to do with it. I love Sony products, so take my comments as coming from a Sony fanboy, not some anti-Sony trolling.
@UVUVYCTXUHIV Yeah, basically. I can't stand that genre of music. At least in Saints Row I had guns and explosions to look forward to. I'm not going to put up with a headache for basketball though. Lol
Personally I think it's pretty underwhelming. If others are happy great but there's not a lot for me. At least it seems to have stopped people crying about Killzone for a few weeks.
@thedevilsjester yeah no worries - I get your point and it's fair enough. I was just having a bit of a josh. I think, seeing as Western support for both vita and PS3 had all but dried up by this point, they might wind down on those offers and start giving away access to PS Now titles. I mean, does anyone actually use that service as it stands?
@Mathuselah I like dat profile pic of yours.
On another note, I might give Furi a go too.
